The Ossiria Series Continues…
Magic and mayhem escalates with the arrival of a new mysterious enemy, the Valarakan, from an alternate dimension. Carys is conflicted about William as their romance heats up. His patience is amazing! I look forward to reading more of the series. Enjoy!
I received an advance copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Goddess (2019 Revision) is Book 3 in the Children of Ossiria series. As with the preceding books in this series, Goddess is phenomenal, the characters extremely well written and believable, the storyline interesting and holds your interest. In this addition we see the development of Carys and William’s relationship with Carys finally admitting she loves William but still trying to come to grips with the past. We also get a look at a new evil (Valarakan and the darkness surrounding them) that Carys and gang must face. This is an excellent book, as are all the other books, that grabs you at page one and keeps you turning pages until the last and leaves you wanting more. What does Vivian Lane have in store for us in the next book as her imagination and story telling ability never fails to amaze me and does not disappoint. This is a book and series I have utterly enjoyed and have no problem highly recommending. You will not be sorry if you start this series. Another great addition to this series! A Well written storyline with surprising twists, violence, demons, witches, mystery, intrigue and fab characters who continue to grow and develop! This world that the author has built is intriguing and has a whole host of paranormal beings and once started you will not be able to put this down!
This is book 3 of the series. This series just keeps getting better. You have suspense, manic and twists and turns. This book draws you in and you don’t want to put it down. The story and characters are very well written. This series has me hooked. I highly recommend reading. (I received this book as an arc and am leaving a voluntary honest review)
OMG is all I can say. If you want a good series to read this is it. I have been reading this series since book one and I can’t wait to read each new book in it. The books just keep getting better and better the farther along you get. I cannot wait to see what in in store for me in the following books for the series. Losing sleep over these books is worth it. Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed.

Carys and William are back as their love story continues. The story is addictive as the other books in the series as new and old characters pop in and out. Its has moments of action, magic as everyday live was laid out and woven together that kept me reading until the end. I really did enjoy watching Carys and William get closer and overcome their past love relationships. Especially when you remember the daughter that showed up from the future in the last book.
The book starts immediately with a tension-inducing tidbit – the Valarakan Warriors, an age-old army with a plan to destroy Earth that includes a need to tap Carys’ skill for that — are closer than our heroes know. The General has been keeping her under watch for a long time and they are preparing to make their move. His mage urged him on, saying that obtaining access to the Stone’s power would be no problem once they had Carys – and then Earth would feel their wrath!
Unaware of what’s coming, Carys and William begin to slowly explore their developing relationship. Carys is struggling with her past, despite how right it feels to hold his hand and be with him, she keeps holding back on any intimacy. William remains patient and caring, allowing her to learn to trust him and move forward with him as he also learns more about her.
I really enjoyed the book, as well as the previous books in this series. It was well-written and nice to see her developing relationship with William moving forward a little as she tries to commit fully and overcome hear fears. I actually found the slow progress making it all seem more realistic, as no one wants to rush into something without dealing with the really bad stuff from the past. Repeating old mistakes doesn’t usually work well. It was worrisome, too, for the reader to know the enemy is soon to move on them — will Carys be ready to take on the worst evil she has ever encountered? Grab your copy and enjoy an interesting adventure with the cat-shifter and her team!
The third book in this series continues to impress! So far, each book has gotten better than the last! The characters are well developed and complex. Carys and William’s relationship is developing in a real and believable manner with complex emotions and hang-ups, just like everyday people that we would run into in the real world. The story is well written with many twists and turns, so it holds your attention throughout the book. I definitely recommend it for fans of the series and if you haven’t read the other stories yet, what are you waiting for?

Book three of an interesting and intriguing series that gets better with each book.
With believable characters and their complex emotions, it also includes demons and witches.
Well written, it has suspense, violence, spells and unpredictable surprises and many twists, so much so that the reader’s interest is held throughout even though the story at times tends to be a little slow.

Magic. A land, Ossiria, that exists in an alternate dimension but impacts our own. Paladins, demons, witches, shifters and vampires. I’m so there. Also, superb addiction – as evidenced by my massive binge read through the prequel and first three books of Vivian Lane’s The First Vampires, namely Outcast, Protector & Goddess (Children of Ossiria, Book 0.5. 1, 2 & 3). I love the characters here, from Mike and his daughter Hope in book 1 (plus Hope’s former baby-mom Bathany, new interest Corinne, and future baby mom Catherine: its exhausting just listing then but it all works in the book), to Carys the Protecter in training and William the cursed vampire (who we met previously) and other great supporting characters (hello, Sarah). Really fun stuff. All extremely well done. Frankly, but for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed, and the fact that the publisher’s blurbs on these books are excellent, I could go on and on with praises. Each of these books definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next books in this series.
This book focused mainly on the developing relationship between Carys and William with a few scenes that focused on the new threat the group faces. I wouldn’t have minded a little more of the fighting or for William and Carys to have been a little more involved in what was happening with their friends. It would have been a little more exciting and it was party of what I liked about the previous book on the series. But, the development of their relationship was something I looked forward to and it didn’t disappoint. William was ever so patient and sweet, and Carys finally admitted her true feelings. Of course, the surprise at the end has me worried. I can’t wait to read more of this series!!

I once again enjoyed this book, part 3 in the Children of Ossiria series. Because I have already read other parts, it is nice to see how the characters develop further. The story revolves around Carys and her relationship with William, a vampire who cannot harm people because of a curse.
I thought it was wonderful to read how the bad boy William turns into a gentle man because of his love for Carys, even though she regularly leaves him alone without a clear explanation.
Carys still has trouble with intimacy, but let William get closer. You can find beautifully written make-out scenes in this book that makes you long for more. I find the patience that William shows praiseworthy
The story is also about the threat of the Valarakan Warriors, an age-old army that have a plan to destroy the earth and need Carys for that. However, it takes a long time before this gets a place in the book. When this happens, the story, and Carys, gets an unexpected twist and there is a link with the precursor in this series; The First Vampires

Carys, William, and the paladins and their friends must stop a new threat. Carys and William’s relationship is progressing, but Carys still has some hangups from her previous relationship. And an ancient group has targeted the Paladins and Carys. Change is coming to Carys, and what an unexpected change it will be. I received a copy of this book from Booksprout for an honest review.
Third book in this series, it just keeps getting better! Great characters, witches, spells, demons and lots of twists and suspense.

Still struggling with her feelings, her doubts and her past, Carys didn’t feel ready but, ready for what? Go further with her relationship with William or face the Valarakan and the darkness around them? I was feeling sorry for William. He was trying and trying but nothing was changing. Liked how the author surprised me with the unexpected twist that put things in its place. Intriguing characters, suspense, violence, demons, witches, spells and a new dimension of things. Interesting and entertaining story that left me eager for the next book.
This series just gets better with each book! I LOVED seeing how Carys and Williams relationship begins to solidify. As usual there is a mysterious big bad that the Scooby Gang is trying to figure out. Who are they? Where are they from? Why are they there? Carys has her ups and downs in relation to trusting her relationship with William thanks to her past. The one thing she does know is she loves him. This group of magical misfits that some meet by chance, have now truly become a family. Get ready for a MASSIVE reveal toward the end! This shake up may change things in the group for good. This change could very well be for a good thing!! I can’t wait for the next book in this exciting series!!!
