My name is shouted on rooftops.
It’s written on bras, on the inside of bathroom stalls, hell my name is everywhere.
To say my name is to experience an orgasm without ever leaving your damn house.
My name is Zane “Saint” Andrews.
I’m sex.
I’m a rock god.
I’m also…a virgin.
What they don’t know won’t kill them right? Give the people what they want. And what they want is the idea of me; the … want is the idea of me; the pleasure they gain at listening to my song and knowing without a doubt I’m talking about them and only them.
It worked for a while.
Until a nerdy girl with glasses falls at my feet, literally, and suddenly I don’t want to be Saint anymore, what I want? What I really need?
Is to be kept.
By her.
This is a rockstar romance with lots of kissing, sex, funny one liners, and life from a different angle. I hope you guys enjoy, and remember, it’s all about the mallow.

Keep is the second book in the Seaside Pictures Series but can be read as a complete standalone. I don’t know why I didn’t read the first one but I just one-clicked it so that will be changing soon. I am now invested in this group of friends that are more like family. When I started this book, I knew I would love it but I didn’t expect it to be such an emotional rollercoaster. It made me love it even more!
Zane “Saint” Andrews is a rock god. Sex on a stick. He could have anyone, anywhere, anytime of the day. That is what the media thought anyway. Yes. He could be that man but he wasn’t. He was an anxiety ridden, marshmallow junkie that would rather watch The Real Housewives than go to a party. He gave his fans what they wanted even though he didn’t even know what he wanted until he saw her. The blind nerd hot girl that would change everything with one kiss with some amazing Chapstick. Her name was Fallon and that suited her since she would happen to fall into his lap. She thought he was saving her but she was about to save him.
Fallon thought she was dreaming. Or maybe it was a nightmare. She wasn’t really sure. Zane had pretty much kidnapped her so she could be his muse. He needed inspiration and for some reason he thought she was it. She couldn’t figure out why since he could have a gorgeous supermodel instead but she went with it. She wanted to help him. Maybe cuz she thought he was a bit crazy. I mean, who carries around marshmallows in their pockets? But as time went on, she liked his kind of crazy. She felt alive. He teased her. She teased him right back. She even rejected his advances but that only fueled his want. He wanted to know her. To kiss her. To be close to her. But he knew he would hurt her but he didn’t want to walk away. Friends. They could only be friends. That’s what they both wanted, right? Right…
Fallon didn’t know what was going through Zane’s mind. Was he only kissing her because she was a body and available? She knew he could have anyone if he got over his anxiety and left the house without her. But, she felt she was missing something. What will happen when she discovered the truth? Will she feel defeated or will he?
I loved Zane!! His uniqueness was refreshing. He was real, and raw. Fallon is amazing. She has a big heart, and doesn’t realize how special she really is. They both have their quirks and I loved that about them. They made me laugh but they also made me cry. I was fully invested to this couple. They had my heart even when they were driving me crazy. I loved every minute of it. And now, I want some damn marshmallows!
Overall…it’s a beautiful, hilarious, and emotional book that surprised me. In the best way. The way Rachel can make me laugh, swoon and cry at the same time is just amazing. I will be reading the first book, Captured soon and can’t wait for the next book, Steal!
Quotes:
“It’s been a while since I’ve met a purist.” Demetri nodded. “A girl who doesn’t swear. Quick, say something else.”
“If I didn’t know any better I’d think you were upset that I saw you naked and didn’t faint.”
“You have five seconds before I call my dad—he was cleaning his rifle.”
Omg this book as soon as i finished Capture i wanted to read Zane Andrews story. That guy stole my heart away. Gahhh all the damn feels!!!!! I laughed and cried sooo much. I absolutely love love Rachel’s writing and she never disappoints. I adored Zane like he is so freaking perfect. Thisssss book really i couldn’t put it down!!!
Zane and Fallon are so incredible. It’s fun, emotional, sweet and romantic. Zane is a freaking rockstar but kinda different and lost. Fallon is a cute nerdy type college student. I love their story and adored them together. Enjoyed every second of this fantastic read!
*5 Stars*
I loved this book. I really liked both our main characters, Zane and Fallon, and really wanted things to work out for them.
Zane was an enigma right from the start. Slowly but surely his issues and past get revealed more and more and you have all the feels about what he’s been through and how he is dealing with life. Some heavy issues are dealt with in this book, however I think RVD wrote about them really well. She really gave life to these characters and I enjoyed their journey thoroughly.
Fallon was very strong and not the type just fall at the whim of a superstar, so that was a really lovely part of the story. I loved her personality and how she handled things.
There was one big shock I really didn’t see coming, which added a whole other level to things and really makes you think about such issues happening in real life and how you would deal if faced with them. But in saying that there were also lots of really fun and sweet moments and my heart just loved this story.
I’d like to read about the other characters in these books, and I look forward to continuing this series.
Zane is a strange one, obsessed with marshmallows and being naked all the time, “why do people always state the obvious? Of course I’m naked. I was alone, why would I be wearing clothes?” Leave it to Zane to be a little perv where his woman is concerned, “no, actually, oh wow. ” I winked. “I may need more sex. The doctor suggested as much sex as possible in order to… heal.” I loved this book, even though Zane had some strange addictions.
Couldn’t put this book down! It’s funny, sad, steamy, happy, amazing. So many adjectives…read this book!

Recently, I had an opportunity to receive a complimentary ebook copy of Keep. It wasn’t in exchange for a review – it was one of those authors supporting authors things that I love to see in the indie book world. Generally, I’m not a fan of the new-adult genre so I almost passed up the freebie but the synopsis was interesting so I decided to check it out…and guess what? I liked it!
Rock God: Zane “Saint” Andrews is sex on a stick in looks and reputation. But in real life? He’s a virgin. It’s not often you get a virgin adult hero in romance novels and I found the role-reversal to be a lot of fun to read. There’s much more going on in this book than just the sexual component and the combination of elements kept me engaged in an age group and genre that I’ve given up on. There’s drama but not the typical dysfunctional relationship drama I usually see portrayed in new-adult. Keep worked for me and I would definitely consider lifting my “no new-adult” rule when it comes to Rachel Van Dyken. Check it out!
My favorite quote:
“Nobody should ever feel like they have to give pieces of themselves in order to gain love, security, acceptance…
Note: Keep is the second installment in Rachel Van Dyken’s Seaside Pictures series. I read it as a standalone and enjoyed it as such.
#1: Capture
#2: Keep
#3: Steal
