This story contains all the panty-melting sexiness and alpha goodness that Nina Levine books are known for.
Motorcycle Club Romance

The book starts out with Hyde going out on club business where he lays eyes on Monroe (the cousin of one of his brother’s old lady). She’s gorgeous and he’s captivated. He hasn’t had these feelings in a long time. He hasn’t been looking for anyone to make a part of his life permanently since the last time he did that left him reeling and alone.
Monroe has a list of traits her future baby daddy needs to have. She thinks if she checks all the boxes she’ll be happy and can’t go wrong. The list is actually pretty entertaining. However the list may just be getting in her way. She meets Hyde, and although she admittedly thinks he’s hot, she’s convinced a biker is not what she needs in her life.
Sometimes what you don’t think you want is exactly what you need.
In the last couple of books in the series Hyde has been quite the mystery. He keeps disappearing and none of his brothers seem to know where he’s going or what exactly is going on with him. Well, well, well, wait no longer, we finally get all our answers!!! I was quite surprised to find out what’s been keeping his distracted and I’m not the only one. His brothers were all quite surprised to find out his truth. Hell, even King had no idea what was really going on.
It’s a great mix of dirty romance, humor, suspense, and violent action that comes along with bad bikers.
ab·so·lu·tion ˌabsəˈl(y)o͞oSH(ə)n/Submit, noun, formal release from guilt, obligation, or punishment. Synonyms: forgiveness, mercy…
Nina Levine is a favorite author of mine, she won me over with the first MC Romance of hers that I read. Every new release is like Christmas for me, no matter what month it is. Turning each page is like unwrapping a present. I’m always surprised and thrilled with what’s inside.
Hyde was given his road name because of his tendencies towards Jekyll/Hyde behavior. That’s not always a bad thing, his club has come to depend on his skills, and sometimes all it takes is a nod from his president to let his ‘Hyde’ loose to take care of some club business. But he wasn’t always that way. As I was taken on a journey into his past, it became clear that it was a learned behavior that eventually became part of him. My heart hurt for him and I was outraged at the players involved in the process. As his life unraveled, he kept it to himself. Suffering alone. He watched. He waited. He regretted. He wished for a do-over that would never happen. And then… his past came to light, forcing him to face his regrets and answer for his actions. Is there a chance that he will find absolution?
Get ready for another exciting ride as Sydney Storm MC deals with an ongoing war that threatens their club and their loved ones. The suspense is intense and the passion even more so. I couldn’t read fast enough, or slow enough. I know, I’m greedy. I want more, and at the same time I don’t want it to end. And I’m thrilled to say, it’s not over. The author left me with a tease that will have me panting for more until I have another gift to unwrap. The line forms here…
There is nothing better than reading a book by Ms. Levine. This series is so good… Hyde’s Absolution is another outstanding addition to the Sydney Storm series. Hyde and Monroe have a beautiful connection, undeniable chemistry, their journey was not smooth but the destination left me smiling in the end. I enjoyed every single second of this story.
This author is killing me!! I have to say, my initial impression of Hyde wasn’t great! I thought he was a grade A a$$hole, I mean as VP he has to have a level of it but I was also questioning his loyalty to the club!
But as I got to the end of Devil’s book, my opinion was rapidly changing.
In this one you see all facets of Hyde and although not all of them are easy to read about, you realise why he is the way he is and the battles he has fought. Not all battles are fought hand to hand, some you can’t see and those broke my heart.
Monroe truly is light to his dark, her sass is on another level!! I love the fact that she doesn’t back down, she gives as good as she gets and is protective as all hell!!
This author may have broken me about with this one, but I am still smiling!
I have enjoyed all of the books in this series. This one seemed to drag a little to me during the first 30% but when it took off, I couldn’t put it down. I was emotionally torn about the reasons Hyde had to leave his old life, daughter and wife behind but finally came to grips with that. His daughter comes back into his life 14 years later and I could see what a good man he was in his attempts to make up for the lost years. Monroe is a strong, spunky woman who shouts her independence and will make you smile with her remarks about how much she likes sex. No cheating and there’s a HEA. Looking forward to King’s story very much.
Loved it!!! Nina spins a story that has you hooked from the start and gives you a realistic feel for the characters. Their characters banter, imperfections and overall interactions takes you on a emotional ride. From heartbreak to laughter, feeling the heat and so much more. Hyde and Monroe’s story is definitely a great addition to this series. One you don’t want to miss. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Monroe is my fave female character of this author, sassy, bold, kick-ass and has a dirty mouth to rival Hyde.
When I read the blurb and saw her name I was insanely happy, I love the thought of them together.
Their dirty moments are my fave, the dirty sex, the dirty texting. She gives as good as she gets which I’m sure Hyde appreciates.
Hyde has so much going on in his world and it all seems to be hitting him from everywhere. He needs someone who’s going to challenge him but fight for him too.
I’m looking forward to King, he’s a bad ass MOFO.
5 Stars from Sammy’s Book Obsession!
I’m in love again! Not just with Hyde, though! I have a total girl crush on Monroe too! I’m going to attempt to keep this review short, because I’m finding it difficult to come up with ways to say what I want to without revealing anything. I have a really good feeling that King’s reviews are going to present a similar problem for me as well!
Instead of recapping the story or gushing about the characters, I’ll just focus on the writing. Which is, as absolutely always, top-notch! Nina Levine has a way with words like no other. This book was so well written. The grammar, the flow, the realistic persona of each character that she creates…just YES! She’s amazing! I love how the layers of the character’s personality are revealed. It’s just awesome!
You can’t go wrong with this series or this author period!
I swear every Nina Levine book is better than the last! Just when you think This is it. This is an unbeatable MC book. She proves you wrong. It’s incredible seeing authors that develop like this, that even though they’re amazing, they’re constantly improving their craft.
Hyde though. Hyde is everything (I feel like I’m at that part in mean girls, talking about Regina George… ‘Hyde is flawless’). In actuality, Hyde is not flawless. Hyde is perfectly, imperfectly, wonderfully flawed. As is a recurring theme with MC romance, Hyde is an arsehole and a major alpha. But he is not solely defined by this, there’s so much depth to Hyde that is explored in this novel. On the surface he’s intelligent, controlled, he’s the cautious thinker of the Sydney Storm chapter to both temper and challenge King’s egotistical, reckless aggression.
This has got to be one of the best MC books I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. It’s a truly fantastic and captivating love story, that not only is a journey a love, but also an exploration of hope, trust, family, and forgiveness. I’m not sure I possess the words to describe how much I love this series and specifically Hyde and Monroe’s book.
Monroe is the kind of heroine I adore, she knows herself, she has the kind of confidence that allows her to be vulnerable but also to stand up for herself. She’s brave and strong, but still beautifully kind. There truly aren’t words for how much I adore her, and how much I ship Monroe and Hyde (Hydroe? I need a ship name for them, Nina!)
And of course, the background story of the MC continues fluently in this book, my heart mot certainly breaking and shedding tears for King towards the end, and hoping that things explored in Hyde’s Absolution will be foreshadowing for King’s duet which I’m insanely excited for! Long live the King?
Every time I read a book in this series it’s amazing but this one tops them, they somehow just keep getting better!
Hyde & Monroe’s chemistry is off the charts. Two people who thought they were looking for different things, whose only connection initially seemed to be between the sheets…or in the shower.
These two are at each others throats one minute and getting it on the next, they are each others perfect match and I loved their bickering. Hyde’s a smart man when it comes to women, knowing when to say when and when to assert his authority (and boy does he assert himself!) Monroe is strong and independent, she’s everything I love in a heroine. She stands up for herself and for those she cares about. In that way she’s no different than Hyde.
I loved this book, literally from beginning to end I couldn’t put it down.
And the end, wow, all I can say is bring on the next book please!
Get ready for one thrilling, addicting experience you won’t forget in Hyde’s Absolution by Nina Levine! Nina has delivered a sin on wheels MC romance with a devilishly alpha male who can change moods like the wind and a firecracker female who is free loving, who becomes the calm to his raging storm!
Sydney Storm MC series will rock and toss you sideways with the ever descriptive scenes, the developed characters who will embed in your hearts and the dirty talking males who fight for their females! I encourage you to read from the beginning, starting with Relent, to fully understand the drama that has unfolded inside the club. Hyde’s Absolution, I must say, so far is my ultimate favorite. I have waited to learn about his Jekyll/Hyde persona and I am over the moon with his story!
Personal matters have risen and Hyde makes it his mission to resolve the past 14 years of his past mistakes/regrets. While helping his ex and re-establishing a relationship with his daughter, drama has escalated within the Storm Club and Hyde is being depended on now more than ever by King.
Feisty Monroe has never wanted a relationship with a biker, even though her best friend Tatum has found her love in Nitro. She has seen what dating a biker is like and she wants nothing to do with their protective, arrogant nature abilities. She might seem that she has high demands, but truly deep down she just wants a man to love her unconditionally.
“Being watched by Hyde was one of the most unnerving things ever. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to hide from him or bare my soul.”
Can these two fit together?
Hyde and Monroe’s paths cross causing friction, intense emotions and an attraction that neither one can ignore.
“You made me fall for you. Now you can man the f**k up and show me why I made the right decision.”
I loved Monroe. That woman has all the sass and then some. Multiple times I laughed or snickered with her comments and to have her end up with Hyde was the icing on the cake. It’s like Nina knew how to pair these two perfectly. The way they inter-connect was special in itself. How Monroe is the calm to Hyde’s raging anger inside… beautiful. The intimate scenes was glorious and intoxicating as well.
Riveting 5 Stars!
I honestly could not put this book down. I wasn’t sure about Hyde from the previous books; the guy has a control issue. He is no stranger to pain, rage are secrets.
He has absolutely won me over. With everything he has been through I now understand him better.
The club is still in turmoil and Hyde is in the middle of dealing with his past. Mix in a sexy redhead by the name of Monroe and sparks are going to fly. We also finally find out who is behind it all and it’s not good.
Great flow loved the dynamic between the H/h.
Holy smokes. Nina Levine definitely gave her all with Hyde’s Absolution. I truly think this could be her best to date and I am now firmly in love with not only Hyde himself but the woman who becomes his all: the fiery and delightful Monroe. I had a feeling about these two after some heated stares in Devil’s Vengeance yet no one, not even themselves could have predicted just how important they would become to one another.
The biker with a fierce temper and the hopeless romantic. Doesn’t actually lend itself to the love of the century, but somehow they fit. He bosses her around and doesn’t take no for an answer, and she let’s it roll off her back and gives him an argument anyway. Their playful banter truly kept me smiling and was the needed distraction to all the horrific violence plaguing the Storm MC. I was constantly amazed at how Hyde could juggle so much in his life with a family no one knew existed, Club troubles and his unexpected attraction to the feisty Monroe. But it was Monroe who finds her way into his crazy world and seems to be able to put it back on its axis, even if it’s not always completely correct. Their attraction is undeniable and in the midst of all the chaos are some smoking hot sex scenes that only a man like Hyde can deliver. The author continues to write some insanely alpha males as the members of Storm, and with each new story we get that testosterone rush like we’ve never seen prior.
Of course the other members of the MC are present and accounted for with King as Prez at the center of more than one chapter since his story will be next. His relationship with Hyde is important and I really enjoyed their back and forth with very few words used. There are some powerful passages and plenty of violence to satisfy those die-hard MC fans.
Charlie was a definite highlight and her scenes with Hyde were both touching and comical. We see a side of Hyde that perhaps he never wanted shown but together with Monroe, there is no way not to fall for him, faults and all.
A must read for fans of the author and this fantastic series. I thoroughly enjoyed and cannot wait for more.
5 huge stars!!
I think I’m going to be part of the minority here when I say I didn’t really like Hyde’s story as much as I loved the others in this series. After a long wait we finally get to learn more about the illusive Hyde. However, what we learn, I will admit, was something I never would’ve guessed.
14 years ago Hyde walked away from his wife and daughter, letting them believe he was dead, to protect them from a man he worked for (one he thought of as a father). But now he’s returned and trying to help his family out.
–Now here’s why I’m a bit confused. He’s been fine for the last 14 years to sit back and step in when they needed help, without them knowing he was the one helping. I don’t think his reasoning for stepping in this time was explained, except that he had a suspicion that Gibson (his old boss/father figure) was involved in. Now keep in mind he had no clue about Gibson having anything to do with his family until AFTER he confronted Tenille and her husband.
–Also, because the 50K was suspicious enough for Hyde to finally come forward with his wife and child after so many years pretending to be dead, I wanna know where that money went! It may not be a main point to the story, but it’s a pivotal moment for Hyde coming back.
–Hyde’s book also seems to be the only book in this series where his problems seem to have no influence or effect on his club.
Monroe on the other hand has her heart set on finding the one man for her. She’s the kinda chick who loves love, but yet can’t seem to find it for herself. But this could be because of her unrealistic list that the man must check off before she will consider giving them a chance.
From the minute Hyde and Monroe meet it’s nothing short of a mess. Their relationship consists of them pissing each other off, but it’s okay because the anger gets both of their motors running. I personally think that Hyde has an issue with having a ‘normal’ type of relationship without having to constantly bicker and fight. Seemed as if their relationship would have the same kind as his and Tenille’s.
In the end, Hyde’s book wasn’t my favorite and I honestly felt bad because there was a lot of anticipation to finally learn more about the mysterious VP of Sydney Storm.
