“My favorite cowboy romance is Made for McKinley. Renee’s book touched on real issues, and I found myself smiling, laughing and even tearing up a little. She has a way of drawing a reader in so you feel exactly what her characters feel.” —Cathryn Fox, New York Times Bestselling AuthorFormer trick rider Ava Wallace works the five-thousand-acre McKinley ranch and loves the man who owns it. Only … loves the man who owns it. Only trouble is, they’ve been living together for over seven years, and she can’t help but think things have changed between them. Her rough-and-tough cowboy used to be relentless with his affection, unable to keep his hands off her. Now, he barely has the time.
Cowboy cattle rancher Jonas McKinley can’t seem to catch a break. Between his hardworking live-in girlfriend feeling like they don’t connect and the nuisance grizzly that keeps tormenting his livestock, he must overcome the troublesome challenges that threaten his lucrative family farm before he loses what he’s worked so hard to keep. Faced with a difficult choice, Jonas has to decide what matters most: Ava or his ranch.

Very good book about instant love that does not progress beyond living together for years. May December love. I received this free, and this is my honest opinion.
The book introduces the main characters seven years prior in the first chapter. Ava Wallace is now a 40-year-old single mother and was a trick rider in the rodeo where they met. Jonas McKinley is a 30-year-old rancher. They have been living together ever since. Ava is worried that Jonas has lost interest in her (due to her age?) or they have become too complacent with their relationship. She tries several things to rekindle his interest, failing humorously. A good story, but wished there had been some sort of epilogue. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the series. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I enjoyed Ava and Jonas’ older woman/younger man love story. I really loved how Ava tried many different things to spice up things for her and Jonas after being together for 7 years and feeling like he was losing interest in her. Some of them had me laughing out loud. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is the first book I have read by this author and she definitely captured the reality of long-term relationships that have been caught up in the day to day busyness of life. There are both laugh out loud moments as well as cringe-worthy moments as Ava tries to reignite her relationship with Jonas. Her insecurities are multiplied by the fact that she is a number of years older than Jonas and the fear that strikes so many women when they feel they are losing their allure, raises its ugly head. I loved Jonas and his no-nonsense approach and thoroughly identified with Ava, having gone through a similar stage in my own life. This is a well written humorous romance that is a standalone and comes to a delightful conclusion. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. ”…life, all too often, had a way of getting between her and the cowboy she so desperately missed.”
Made for McKinley is Jonas and Ava’s story.
Anyone who has been involved in a long term relationship knows that over time, you become “comfortable” with each other, and start looking for ways to spice it up. This story has it all—the ups and downs that come with being a couple and life getting in the way of romance. I absolutely loved it! I found myself smiling, laughing, and maybe, just maybe, feeling a little teary eyed.
I can’t recommend this smexxy cowboy romance enough!!
An amazing and fun romance, Renee Vincent definitely didn’t disappoint with the second book in the Mavericks of Meeteesee series. I really enjoyed reading of Jonas and Ava’s story; can’t wait to dive into book 3 for Cole and Crys!
