Isabella’s intelligence and thirst for knowledge along with her trusty vest will quickly entice you and you will read this in one sitting. As the main characters work to solve their individual problems their chemistry is off the charts and they quickly become a couple. There are many questions unanswered for me at the end of the book but I can’t wait to read more by this author.
This is a great book that kept me turning the pages. The story is fun and entertaining, with intriguing characters. There is a lot happening in this book with mystery, suspense, and adventure just to name a few. I enjoyed following along and look forward to reading more.
Secrets of a Mayan Moon
The characters are good and the story has several twists and turns throughout and alot of intrigue to keep the readers interest
A thrilling romantic suspense! It reminded me of Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones. I enjoyed the characters and how the story unfolded. There wasn’t a dull moment. I wish it was a little less predictable. I also enjoyed the bit of Mayan history as well.
An intelligent female Indiana Jones, Dr. Isabella Mumphery is invited to Guatemala by her mentor to excavate and interpret Mayan ruins. A well written, well researched adventure, mystery and a romance all in one story. The book starts off great with the introduction of Tino, descriptions of the jungle, the dangers of drug trafficking and the mysteries surrounding the camp. Then it drags-it was too drawn out and Isabella started to frustrate me. She is suppose to be a super genius and I figured out what “they” wanted her for and was yelling at the pages, Stop being so naive! That being said it was an enjoyable read and will recommend it to those who love adventure, mystery novels with a female heroine. I was just hoping for more, maybe in book 2 of this series
Can I just gush on this story for a bit?!?
This book is the perfect mix of adventure, mystery, and with a little bit of a love story thrown in that keeps the reader captivated from the first page!
Doctor Isabella Mumphrey is the type of character I love to read about. She can take care of herself and doesn’t constantly rely on a man to save her. If anything she has to rescue the hero maybe once or twice! However, due to intellect and her childhood she is just naive/innocent enough to think that someone so close to her could want her on a dig in Guatemala for nefarious reasons.
Tino Kosta is out for revenge, and believes getting into the dig in Guatemala will bring him closer to his end goal. While he cares for Isabella and her safety, he also recognizes her need to be an independent woman, but the vulnerability and innocence that not many men have taken the chance to get to know.
