Easton Wells has spent years burying his guilt by digging up some of the world’s most renowned treasures while surviving the dangerous terrains in which they’re located—all captured for television. When his producers threaten to axe the show, he has no choice but to turn to the last person he still trusts—the girl he left behind.
Rain Walker has made a name for herself documenting wild and … wild and endangered animals, and the last voice she expects to hear while shooting in South Africa is Easton’s. He’s more gorgeous than she remembers, but the pain in her heart is as fresh as ever. They’d once planned on spending the rest of their lives together, but after her father’s tragic death while on expedition in Israel with him, Easton bailed on their future together without an explanation. It’s been nine years, and yet the intense love they shared seems only a moment ago.
When he asks her to film his latest treasure hunt, Rain wants to turn him down instantly. But when he explains it’s to the same cave that swallowed her father, she can’t say no. She wants to experience the last place her father was alive, and she’s beyond curious about what happened to the boy she used to love.
They’ve got two weeks to locate a treasure that’s been lost for centuries, or Easton will lose the one thing in his life he’s come to depend on. As their old passion is reignited—and dark secrets uncovered—they face the extreme terrain of the mountain range that threatens them at every turn. As more than the wildlife and sharp drop-offs tries to kill them, Rain starts to question if the legendary treasure they seek—the same one her father had died trying to unearth—is truly meant to be found, or if some things, including their feelings for each other, are better left buried.

Move over Indiana Jones, Ms. Lee has created something better!
As a girl who grew up on a wild imagination filled with treasure hunts, “East of Redemption” delivers all the adventure of an Indiana Jones’ movie with the relationship building of a seasoned romance author.
I loved everything about this book. The world building was phenomenal. You felt every peril, held your breath as ropes broke, and cheered when wrongs were finally righted.
Ms. Lee has created a series that will have me riveted and coming back for more!
The second book in the Love on the Edge series follows a new couple, with new adventures. This book had mystery, hidden treasure, and just the right amount of suspense as well. The whole time you are wanting to know more and more. You fell for both Easton and Rain the entire time. You also get a fell for Indiana Jones in this book. I can’t wait for the next book. Way to go Molly E Lee!!
This was such an amazing story! It surpassed all my expectations. When I first saw this book an image of Indiana Jones came to my mind and I had to laugh when I later read that he was even mentioned in this book.
In the beginning I didn’t know how much I would like it because it was my first treasure hunter story and normally this wouldn’t be my cup of tea but I loved the first book in this series and surely I had to get my hands on this one too.
I really loved this book a lot because there was never a dull moment. It was full of suspense and love and pain. I loved the characters so much and I felt like I’ve been there on this journey with them together.
The Story:
After finding a new home within the family of Harrison’s, Easton is mesmerized by Harrison’s compassion and fierce determination to find treasures all over the world. Easton follows him every step of the way to learn as much from Harrison as possible. When one mission goes horrible wrong, Easton is crashed and doesn’t seem able to return home to Rain even though he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and had already the perfect ring for her in his backpack. Though now the ring and so much more with it lies in the depth of this cove and Easton doesn’t believe he is worth of her after what he’d done to her.
Conclusion:
This book was written so beautifully. I was captured by it from the very beginning and devoured it almost in one go. This is so worth reading even when you normally wouldn’t go for a book like this because there is a lot more to it than it might seem at first.
Highly recommended by me =)
“Are you with me?” is going to join the list of simple declarations of love that people outside the loop of a reader won’t know about.
This book gripped me and took me in, from the tragedy at the beginning of the book to the struggles the main characters had to endure to find each other and move on from a past that colored their relationship.
The author took us on a wild adventure with safaris and excavations and treasure hunting all surrounding a love story that will touch your heart.
I’ve enjoyed every book in this series so far (which can be read as stand alones other than book 1 and 1.5 which should be read in that order) and I’m very much looking forward to the third. If you enjoy action, drama and romance, you’re going to love this book and this author!
