Did not like the lack of an ending
Too weird for me. Not into scifi
The premise of mutant abilities and super black op conspiracy sounds interesting but lack of character development and unnecessary timeskips mar the story. The
I like the plot line and the type of character. This is the style I enjoy reading. But I must say I thought I bumped something on the touchscreen and jumped to the end. I felt like I only read half the book. I felt like I didn’t know much about Jay. The only thing that gave his character value was Nasira’s drive to save him. The cliffhanger ending did interest me enough to purchase episode 2, but I still think it was a half-a-book.
This is a well-written book, very entertaining and action-packed. But it is also a little confusing and hard to keep straight and is definitely part of a series, not a stand-alone. That disappointed me since I only have the first one! So buy the whole set before you get hooked.
Difficult to follow
a freight train of disconnected events jumping around in time. Lost interest after about 50 pages.
Even in a series I like each book to stand alone with at least an episodic finish. This was not even a complete introduction to the characters.
This book was not what I expected, but it was interesting and well written.
Wanted to keep reading
Left you hanging unless you buy another episode.
Jumping from past to present was confusing and had no discernable connection to the story plot.
I had to read the entire book to finally start bringing the strings together to make any sense….then it left you hanging! Just when you almost had everything sort of tied together. I don’t like reading short stories that force you to the next….lead me! Great story line, strong characters trained in ultimate assassination.
Unrealistic. Dislike continuing stiries
Very enjoyable read!
A fair science fiction novel, only long drawn out.
With so many books out there to read clamoring for my time, I couldn’t even justify finishing this one. The story didn’t flow at all and I kept trying to figure out what was going on so that I could just understand the section I was in. It could have benefitted with more development and time put into it.
