Such a good book!
A great love story with some very hot scenes!
Friends their entire lives and both fighting their true feelings for as long as they can!
I loved the idea of the story, and I liked the hero and heroine. The fact that the heroine wasn’t some sort of supermodel was so refreshing. There is definitely chemistry between the main characters. The book was longer then needed. Heroine is in love with best friend’s older brother, who is a player. Hero proves his intentions are good, but heroine doesn’t believe him and she’s a little bit of a brat about it. There are places in the story, details, that say one thing, and then other things said that were as if the previous details were never even mentioned. While a nice sentiment, be prepared of the sentiment of a firehouse being a family drilled into your head.
Great intro to a series.
Brian and Jo were on fire on and off shift. Having a firefighter in the family, I loved the lingo. You could tell the author knows her stuff.
My kindle was steaming up from beginning to end!
It was a good story
CHARACTERS INTERESTING, sTORY GOOD. I do not however enjoy reading books where the F word is constantly used. It’s ugly, & I feel it makes one seem uneducated & not very smart. I really seldom hear it spoken.
This is a 5 star storyline. Great characters. Believable story. I enjoyed the relationships/dynamics.
For flow, I give 3 stars. Was distracting to me that a character spoke in past & present tense in same sentence. This happened throughout the book. This didn’t cause me to quit reading or to not enjoy the overall story. Because I have read newer books by Author Amy Briggs, I know her writing improves and I’ll continue to read her works! I’m looking now to see if Matt gets his story!
