When terminally-ill Jake Bronson emerges from an MRI with extraordinary cognitive powers, everyone wants a piece of his talent…including Luciano Battista. Posing as a pioneering scientist, the terrorist leader has been conducting cerebral-implant experiments in a quest to create the ultimate weapon against America, and Jake’s altered brain may be the key to his success. But Jake refuses to play the pawn in an unholy war, and when an innocent woman and autistic child are taken hostage to force his cooperation, he embarks on a jihad of his own. Jake is thrust into a deadly chase that leads from the canals of Venice through Monte Carlo and finally to an ancient cavern in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Afghanistan–where Jake discovers his newfound talents carry a hidden price that threatens the entire human race.

Good Story …but I wasn’t left completely impressed
This book was much better than I expected. Lots of action and it demonstrates the lengths people will go to to protect people they care about.
Excellent! Kept me up at night reading it!
What a great book! Everything in one book! Action and Adventure, SciFi, romance, Sort of a happy ending! A real page turner! Jake Bronson is a great hero! I can’t wait to read the next book!
It was a good free read that hooked me into buying the rest of the series.
a good read
Terrific! An accident during an MRI changes the main character’s brain and he winds up in the middle of a holy war! I had to buy the other books in the series and read them too!
Read Rush!!!
crap book.
I kept waiting for it to get better, but I had to give up by chapter 6.
not worth my time…
Fast-paced action. Realistic and strong characters. I read right through the series to date and hope there is more. The initial event was realistically frightening and the events after that were riveting. A great read for action lovers.
Loved this book, but could not put it down u til the finish!
Dry interesting scenario.
A good read for all lovers of military action.
I liked this book. Goes to prove what the human mind can do. I wish I had that kind of creativity.
Kept me up at night…trying to finish it!
Enjoyed this book allot. A little far reaching with the MRI accident that caused wonderful mental abilities to happen. Liked the romantic intrigue along with the action. Ended well.
Freshing to have a story, more so because it was so original. Great character development, action packed, had the intrigue, murder, mystery, science/futuristic but no that you could predict the outcome. Looking forward to #6 in the series.
Excellent book. Highly recommend this book to everyone. Excellent story line kept your interest and attention making it hard to put down.
