I loved Gabe and Ivys book. This is book one of a three book series. The attraction series has all you want in a book. Great story, some drama, some laughs and of course everyone’s favourite a hot alpha
Undeniable Attraction is a good quick read that had a possessive alpha male and a witty, caring woman.
I liked the story and enjoyed reading about Ivy and Gabe, there was plenty of action (both in and out of the bedroom), suspense, intrigue and a bit of comedy to keep me reading.
If you like possessive alpha males who will do what ever it takes to protect their women, or a witty, caring woman who isn’t afraid to do what is needed to keeps those she loves safe then this is just the book for you.
Gabe is heartbroken.
His heart has been splintered into a billion pieces.
The only way Gabe knows how to stop the raw ache in his chest is liquor and lots of it.
Days, nights it doesn’t matter as long as be can somehow numb the pain.
One night, sitting at a bar he’s cut off. No more being served his new favorite beverage (liquor).
No worries, Gabe knows where he can get more.
Home.
Leaving the bar Gabe’s goal is to get into his car, drive home and continue his downward spiral of drinking.
But Ivy is having none of it.
Sweet, beautiful, innocent Ivy has worked for Gabe for years.
She’s lusted after him, but he’s been un-obtainable. Until now.
Ivy decides it’s time to stop hiding her feelings and tell Gabe exactly how she feels, after she gets his drunken self home.
Gabe and Ivy.
How will this end?
How will Gabe react to Ivy’s true feelings?
Can Ivy convince Gabe that they are meant to be together?
Can boss and employee make this work?
Or will it ultimately ruin their friendship?
And who is watching, just waiting to strike?
Guys what a ripper of a read. Funny, light hearted, breathtaking, crazy silly and delicious in all the right places. But also raw, confronting, suspense filled and heartbreaking. A perfect mixture of emotion that kept me glued from start to finish.
A beautifully written read!!
4 stars.
I love a romance that can also pack a punch, and Undeniable Attraction definitely fits the bill.
Ivy’s had a crush on her boss, Gabe, for a long time and is sick of being overlooked. So she makes some changes to try and catch Gabe’s eye. But when Ivy accidentally picks up a secret admirer of the creepy variety, Gabe had to step into the protector role.
JB Heller has an amazing talent when it comes to creating a story that completely sucks you in and wanting to turn the page before you’re ready, just to see what’s next. I loved every single moment of Undeniable Attraction and found myself quickly scooping up the rest of the series as well.
My Rating:
4.5 hearts
Favorite Quotes:
“I name my guns, so shoot me. Pun intended.”
“Ivy was excited. She bounced on her toes and clapped her hands like a seal being electrocuted.”
My Review:
I had not read J.B. Heller before, so wasn’t sure what to expect. Now that I have read her work, I plan to chase her like a fan girl. This gal can write! I had to remember that Aussies spell differently than Americans, and use /s/ when I expect to see a /z/, but I soon stopped noticing. Undeniable Attraction is funny and steamy, I didn’t want to put it down. I smiled and chuckled between fanning myself. There is considerable humor, suspense, steamy bits and sizzle between these smart and sassy characters. The dialog is realistic and snappy, what fun! More, please.
I quite reading after the first couple of chapters. I couldn’t get past the fact that the “hero” kept blaming the way the “heroine” dressed when another man groped her at a bar. It’s the 21st century. It is not a woman’s fault when someone makes unwanted sexual advances on her. Period.
