Wow! Tea and primroses, the second book of Legley Bay series, is the most bittersweet love story I have read in years and the greatest one! I enjoyed every minute spent in this book. It was a torture to put it down when I had to because this time I only had time for reading during my breaks at work, so I suggest you choose better time! Absolutely loved it!
Amazing story line where past and present are intertwined so beautifully and so emotional. Book in a book literally revealing secrets never known for being there, mystery with twists and turns but just in a different way no less intriguing even if you know who is behind it all.
Characters are realistic as always living with real life struggles, issuses, problems and relationships.
I just loved this intriguing story from one of my go to authors. This time she weaves a tale that is so entwined with the past and deeds done. Her stories aren’t a-z, not the mode of black and white. This one has secrets. Secrets and illusions which destroyed hearts, crushed futures and took lives. It’s the past and the present and all the in-betweens. It’s the deeds of the past and the impact on the present. They have a chance to not repeat the past. They have the chance right now to make a change. When all of the past is revealed, all of the secrets and lies, they have their turn to move past it and take their future and make it one. I love the way this author does things. Her books and their message is loud and clear and emotional. Her characters call out to you in their pain and their healing and just twist you up. Absolutely heartbreaking and yet restorative. Loved both of these standalone books in this series so far and their characters.
TEA AND PRIMROSES is the second book in the Legley Bay series. Each will stand on its own, but I strongly recommend reading both of stories that have been released thus far. I have enjoyed them.
A romantic suspense that spans a lifetime, Sutton’s lifetime, it is written in the present and in the last manuscript of her mother. I loved the way that they story switches from Sutton and Declan’s present to Constance and Peter’s past. I loved the emphasis that life is a circle and loss will be recovered. I was completely engrossed in this story of second chances, family, friendships, relationships, loves, losses, tragedies, and emotions.
This is more than a murder mystery. It is a life lesson, a reminder of true love’s joys and sacrifices. It is second-chance romances and “it’s never too late to live your dreams.” It’s every good wish we have for each other and should have for ourselves. This is why when Tess Thompson has another book available; I will want to read it.
Narration: S.L. Crawley is an extremely talented narrator. I love listening to her. She does pronounce a few words differently than I, but that could be regional (e.g. stifle and Adirondack).
