I am a son.I am a brother.I am an artist.I am a student.I am her student. She was my first.First infatuation, first ‘real’ kiss, first love, first…..heartbreak.I gave her everything, including my body and would have given her more.I gave her ‘I love you’ ….she told me her heart was filled by another, there was no room left for me.We could never be.What we did was wrong. It didn’t feel wrong to me. never be.
What we did was wrong.
It didn’t feel wrong to me.
The deepest hurt is a love that you cannot have. It will last the longest, cut the deepest and feel the strongest.
It is an imperfect love; a disfigured circle that never ends.
You cannot control it; it’s as simple as blinking and just like blinking the more you try to stop it, the more the pain consumes you.
This is book 3 in the ‘Love by Numbers’ series.
Although it contains characters from the previous books, it can be read as a standalone.

So very simply, and beautifully executed; this is a love story.
Two hearts introduced early, torn apart through noble causes but not without pain, and rightfully brought back together to appreciate a bond that perhaps needed to be tested and weathered to appreciate it’s strength.
You could say that’s it in a nutshell.
But there’s an even greater, more eloquently stated message here.
This author storytelling from the heart, one even bigger than her hero or heroine, highlights a tale of adversary that, if you look closely enough is somewhat of a gift.
A view into a world that appears bleak, but is consequently much more vibrant and rich than our own. One we can only view as the audience from the bleachers as these special beings, both test and enrich our lives with their unique and fragile view of it.
I truly loved this uncluttered, gentle and affirmative story.
Bravo to this author. I will never look at bubbles the same way ever again!
Love; just a four letter word that is easy to spell yet impossible to define.
Another splendid story in the Love By Numbers series, this time telling the youngest Fox brother, Liam’s, story.
Liam has an older, wiser head on his shoulders than his young years would have you think. It’s clear from the start that Liam fell in love with his university lecturer in the past.. What I love about this book is that it focuses on what happens now, and the past is told in snippets and flashbacks.
The story is just swoon worthy. Cari is a strong, resilient woman who devotes her life to her sister, who is autistic. She deserves to receive the same amount of love that she gives.
Liam gives that to her, and her sister. Once she learns to accept it, a happy ever after is possible. He accepts her situation, embraces it and doesn’t shy away. Love in all its forms prevails, and at the end of the book I was left with a smile on my face. Brilliant.
Emotional ride of second chances
The series of Love by Numbers, continues with brother Liam, whom we meet in Nineteen and Twenty-one, but ES Carter finally gives Liam his own story, connecting him w Cari. Both Liam and Cari but have troubled pasts yet the find acceptance within themselves and within each other. This was a truly beautiful and emotional tale of hope, acceptance and moving on in life
Three is book three in the Love by Numbers series by E.S. Carter. This can definitely be read as a stand alone. I have not read the two previous books in this series but have read three of the later books. As is usual for me, I’m reading the series all out of order. But I can assure you, it has taken nothing away from the absolute beauty of each of these books. This is a second chance romance that is going to grab your heart and won’t let go.
Liam Fox is the youngest of the Fox brothers. He is nearly twenty three years old and is currently living in Ibiza running one of his brother Nate’s clubs. It’s time to return home for his brother Jake’s wedding. Even though he is so happy for his brother’s pending nuptials, he dreads going home. Because that’s where he lost his heart four years earlier. It’s where the girl that he gave everything to also took it all away.
Cari Pritchard can’t believe it’s him. The boy who is now a man who she gave her heart to but had to let him go. She never got over him, never really let him go. Maybe it’s finally time to tell him the truth, to give them both the closure they need. Then maybe they can both let the past go and move forward.
“Don’t look for someone to complete you, look for someone who accepts you completely.”
The connection between Cari and Liam never dimmed. One touch and Liam knew that he couldn’t let her go this time. He just has to prove to her that they are it for each other. That he isn’t going to walk away. That he will be there for her no matter what. That she is his and that she might as well accept it.
“My past, my present and my future.”
This was such a beautiful story. There was just so much there! My heart nearly burst with love for these two for completely different reasons. I don’t want to say much more because I don’t want to give it all away. Just know that these two are perfect together and they will make your heart grow ten sizes bigger.
Since I have read some of the later books, I enjoyed getting earlier glimpses of some of the characters knowing what I know is to come for them. And I have to mention their mother. This woman is hilarious. I love her like crazy. You have to give her all the credit for raising all these boys and surviving with a sense of humor. She is so full of love.
Once again E.S. Carter has captivated me with her lovely characters. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, Thirteen.
I have fallen hard for the Fox family, I love the way they love. This can be read as a standalone, but the characters are interwoven in each book.
Liam Fox is the brother I love the most, he is always looking after others and has a huge heart, but it is broken. This is the story of how he reconnects with the love that broke his heart.
Cari loved Liam, but she let him go, she had her reasons but they weren’t clear to Liam. She hides her struggles and deals with everything alone, except for her amazing best friend Laura Nel.
This book is about a second chance at love, but so much more! It’s about how much you will give of yourself to make another person whole. To shoulder their strains, but not see them as a burden. to want to learn everything you can about their life, and how you can change it for the better.
This book stole my heart, and the scene in the aquarium always makes me cry. Liam and Cari are such a special couple.
Three is the third book in the Love by the Numbers series, but can be read as a standalone. It is a beautiful second chance love story.
I don’t know how to express just how much I love this story, this series, this author. I don’t know Ms. Carter, but I do know her heart now. It’s beauty shines through her writing in these stories, and especially “Three”
“We are all lost… until someone finds us.”
Liam has been traveling around the world trying to escape the heartbreak he feels. But nothing helps him forget his lost love.
“Life is not meant for regrets; the past is the past for a reason and I want my future to be with you.”
Cari struggles with the obstacles that life has put in her way while trying to make her home a happy environment.
This is a book that doesn’t need to manufacture angst to touch my heart and make me feel for all of the characters.
“Now I realise that like will always find like and the soul will always find its other half.”
I loved it!!!
I don’t have words to show you what I’m feeling right now,I only know my heart is really full after I’ve read Liam and Cari’s story.
I have to say this story wasn’t what I expected at all but it was si much better.
Thank you Mrs. Carter for writing this beautiful and heartwarming book.
