One key, one door, one man, one leap.
Alison Wescot inherited the antique store the day her mother died. It was nothing she wanted, but she couldn’t part with it. The antiques inside were all she had left of her mother. She thought she knew every piece in the store, until one day she discovered a box with a key inside, along with a letter from her mother. A key to a door she never knew existed.
knew existed.
Lucas Azure is the leader of the kingdom’s elite guard, a group of men whose sole purpose was to protect their territory and people. The youngest of the king’s four children, he was also the deadliest. The men in his group followed him faithfully, never questioning his orders. When Alison appeared, he knew he had to protect her at all costs.
The day Alison walked through the door, her recurring dream became a reality. The man who always remained a mystery was standing before her. There were dragons flying overhead and a castle in the distance. She was now in the Azure Kingdom.

This book was awful. So bad didn’t even finish it.
Loved this series!
waiting on the last prince of Azure Kingdom’s book now
Good short read. Refreshing, not much blood and guts. Characters were actually honest.
Although the premise was interesting, it wasn’t well detailed or thought through. Just seemed to be a vehicle for sex scenes, which was pretty disappointing- story and characters could have had so much more depth.
I loved Allison and Lucas’ story. Such a wonderful love story! Plus, the new world with flying dragons and magic made it even better. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
I haven’t read much in the fantasy genre but Michelle Dare’s, The Azure Kingdom, may change that. I have read all of Ms. Dare’s other works and have enjoyed them greatly. It is refreshing to see an author step out of their comfort zone and try another genre. Ms. Dare weaves a beautiful tale where dreams really do come true, at least for Lucas and Alison.
Nightly Ali is plagued by dreams of a man she is drawn to and a field of blue flowers, little does she know someone else has similar dreams. Alison is alone after the death of her mother, who left her an antique store to run. Upon unexpectedly finding a key and a letter from her mother, Alison has a decision to make. The letter tells her of her father in a far off land and the skeleton key holds the promise of another life for Ali.
Lucas Azure is the king’s fourth child and the protector of the realm; he also has dreams and is drawn to the woman in them. When the two meet, the chemistry is combustible. Lucas vows to protect Ali from harm, even though it may come from an unexpected source. Ms. Dare paints a vivid picture of the Azure Kingdom and the story flows from the page into the reader’s imagination. Her characters are well developed and the pace of the book moves well. This author hits all the emotions in this book: anger, grief, fear, longing, love, and passion. Add another genre to Ms. Dare’s repertoire. Hopefully, she will continue to write fantasy as well as her contemporary romances.
I want more Azure! I will throw a tantrum better than any two year old to get it too.
The Skeleton Key is an adventure of its own. A key that comes and goes as it pleases. It takes you to a whole new realm…the stuff dreams are made of, right?
Well in Ali’s case, her dreams finally came to life. Her prince finally came and all those fairytale bits. oh and don’t forget the dragons.
I won’t spoil your fun, but know that the book is over too quickly. I want to continue to adventure in Azure. I want to see more of the friendly faces. It’s is a fun and compelling read. I fell asleep with my kindle on my face, only to start again.
Ali has been dreaming of a field of azure flowers for quite some time, included are a knight and a dragon, and always wakes up unsettled. After a cheating ex and her mother’s death she feels lost in small town in the middle of nowhere Colorado abiding to her mom’s last wishes, until she finds out what she thought was home is not. Traveling to another realm through a door in the back of her mom’s closet (I know weirdly familiar but not a kids tale) she finds out her dreams are more real than she ever thought possible. Stuck in the kingdom of her unknown father’s enemy she must choose between a ruthless blood relation or the one her heart feels safe with. Brave family reunions and peace treaties, Ali finds a home with Luke, somewhere she never thought possible.
A fast but entertaining read.
Ali dreamed of Lucas before she met him. She had lost her mother and was unhappy. She finds a special key and door that brings all her dreams come true. When she finally meets her brother and her father, her father tries to kill her. Lucas saves her and her life has been safe ever since. This was a lovely tale and I cant read the next chapter.

This book was superb! I looked up from the very beginning. It is intense and intriguing and filled with Romance. Once you start this book, you will not want to put it down. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
The start of The Iridescent Realm series I enjoyed reading. Alison Wescot and Lucas Azure’s story had me turning pages. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I also bought it.
A Fantastic paranormal sci-fi read! An intriguing storyline that is action-packed, engaging, and consistent. It is well written with a well-developed plot; amazing and interesting characters with the chemistry between them instant and potent. The story drew me in from page one and I was captivated until the end. Definitely recommended. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Alison is mourning the death of her mother. Upon reading her mother’s Will she finds out that she is now the owner of the shop and she has also inherited a skeleton key that unlocks the world to another realm that she may never come back from. If you are a fan of fantasy this story will definitely captivate you. It has it all love action and hot men that will make you wish you were the one that inherited the key!

Alison gave up everything to go and look after her sick Mum, unfortunately she passed away quickly leaving her with an antiques store to run and slim to no friends, not even any from her old job and life. A year passes and life is very lonely and boring but that all changes when she finds a key and a hidden door which opens to the field she has dreamed about for so long. She also meets Lucas who was also in her dreams but nothing of this world is romantic or dreamy for Alison as she finds out who her absent farther is, as well as the war going on Between her fathers Kingdom Pine and Lucas’s Kingdom Azure along with secrets that affect Lucas’s family. I really loved how this was such a well rounded and involved read, yes there is romance too, but not the whole jumping in bed as soon as they meet the good ole fashion kind. You get to know so many characters and connect with them, Yes even Oliver as they have substance and real feelings to them you can relate to. I was glad to see books 2 and 3 in the series are also out so no waiting to see what happens next for the Pine and Azure Kingdoms!
WOW! Just wow! This book is intense right from the start and I could not put it down at all. Michelle Dare wrote such a spellbinding tale, with emotion, fantasy and love that I needed more!
That sneaky skeleton key makes its appearance for Alison and she uses it to discover a world she never knew existed
What I found stunning about this story is the descriptions that Dare gives us. The detail leaves you visualizing the whole story. From the azure blue fields, to Lucas to the dragons. My mind was just in awe of it all. The storyline takes some unexpected twists and turns while Ali is trying to find her way in this world and find the father she never knew. Lucas is a ohhhh so sexy alpha in armor. I love how he is so fierce with Ali even when they just meet. That he never hides his emotions from her. Their chemistry is off the charts even though the naughty sparks don’t fly till later. I love that Dare did this to give them a real working relationship even though it was thrust upon them.
Overall, this story is amazing. I love the concept behind this Skeleton Key series and I highly recommend delving into them if you love some fantasy/paranormal romance. I really fell in love with the world that Dare created and I am really really looking forward to reading more of it!
4 Azure Stars!!!
The more I read from Michelle Dare the more she’s becoming one of my top go-to authors. She dipped into fantasy in this one and OMG she nailed it.
Alison is going through the motions. During the day she’s working at the antique shop her mother left her when she passed away. Then, when she falls asleep she dreams of the handsome man on hs dragon surrounded by beautiful azure flowers.
One day while helping a customer look at an old antique clock they find an old box with beautiful designs. In it is a key and a letter to her in her mothers handwriting.
Alison finds out from her mom that they’re from another realm. There is a door in the closet that’ll get her there. She tells Alison to do two things. Find Rafe Pine bc that’s her father. She’s to keep the key close to her. The key is like houdini and it may disappear and she may not be able to get back. Alison doesn’t think twice about taking this chance.
The minute Alison walks through the door she’s transported to a field full of flowers that are familiar to her. The first face she comes to is the of the man of her dreams. She learns his name is Lucas Azure and he’s of royalty. He’s the kings youngest and he’s the head of their elite guard.
Lucas doesn’t seem surprised to see her. She’d been in his dreams for awhile now. Lucas has the need to protect her. Until she tells him who she’s looking for. Their enemy. King Pine. Lucas quickly takes her to the castle but not before Alison proves to him its true.
The connection and pull that Alison and Lucas have is strong. Alison is in this brand new world. She’s outta her element. I mean they’ve got dragons. They are oversized great danes. There’s a knight from her fathers kingdom whose hand she was promised too. Oliver might seem like a great guy. But, the only guy she wants is Lucas.
Lucas’s father King Azure shocks her as well. He doesn’t seem shocked by her arrival or story. He’s got a story of his own which shocks Alison, Lucas and his brothers and sister.
Once started this I couldn’t put it down. This was a great love story. It was also filled with fantasy and of course a war between kingdoms. I promise you won’t be able to put it down. I’m so looking forward to the next book. I’m wanting any of Lucas’s older siblings. But, there’s Oliver and Alison’s brother from the Pine kingdom. There’s legit so many different kingdoms and storylines that Michelle can dig into. I promise I’ll be there with every book!
