Wanted: A Monster Billionaire Romance was a great read by Jani Kay and Normandie Alleman. Foster has spent the last five years locked in a cage for a crime that he didn’t commit. He is hated by everyone and the press has crucified him. But now he’s a free man and determined to prove that he wasn’t the evil mastermind for the crime he was locked up for. Addison thinks that Foster is sexy, but he also destroyed her family. She doesn’t believe that he has paid nearly enough for what her family’s lost. He doesn’t know that her family was a victim but she is determined to put him back behind bars where she feels he belongs. She will do anything to put him behind bars again but he may have already stolen her heart. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.
Wanted
Good characters, The story was interesting and was easy to picture what was happening throughout it
I thought that this was a good book. The story was interesting and so were the characters. I never did figure out the whole Monster Billionaire tag because 1. There is nothing PNR about this book & 2. Foster was such a nice guy that even after being betrayed and imprisoned for 5 years was still pretty soft and gullible. I had complex feelings about Foster and Addison. I went back and forth between like and dislike for them on multiple occasions. This was a bigger issue with Addison, who really seemed to grate on my nerves with many of her thoughts and actions. . She just did so many things that irked me. That being said, I did feel sympathy for both of them. Each had been wronged and as such they had earned the right to their attitudes and baggage. This book offers some very funny moments, some very sweet ones and some steamy ones. I wish I could say I loved this couple but I didn’t. I could never move beyond the feeling that their feelings were too imbalanced. His love seemed so much bigger than hers. Still overall it was a very enjoyable read. I would love to have stories for Ruby and Ben. Ruby was a true scene stealer and Ben’s tale of lost love and bad decisions both seem perfect for their own books. The duel narration of the book was pleasing and I thought both narrators did an excellent job.
This is the first book that Jani Kay and Normandie Alleman has written together. I have read just about everything that Jani Kay has written but Normandie Alleman is a new to me author. When I read the blurb, I got excited. I was looking forward to a sweet revenge story.
Foster Cruise has spent the last 5 years in prison in upstate New York for a crime that he claims that he did not commit. Fresh out, he relocates to sunny California in an effort to rebuild his life and to clear his name from he crime he is associated to. Fortunately for him, his wealth has been able to help his transition from prison to the real world. Materialistically, anyway. What he finds is that he desperately needs just one person in his life that understands him and believe that he didn’t commit the crimes he served time for.
Addison James’ family was a victim of the crimes that Foster Cruise was committed for. If it wasn’t for him, her family would be in a much better situation. For the past 5 years, Addison has been plotting her revenge against Foster. To make him suffer like he made her family suffer. She had a simple plan. Seduce, infiltrate and implicate. Easy enough, right? Unfortunately for her, it isn’t. She knew he was handsome but what she didn’t know what the real him. Once she starts to discover the man behind the infamous name, she might be too far gone with her heart. Can she carry out her plan for revenge if she has feelings for him?
Although I read this book fairly quickly, I felt like something was missing for me. I just couldn’t fully connect to either character. I’m not sure what held me back. I think I was expecting a little bit more on the revenge part. Their connection was immediate, which I’m fine with but it was pretty much insta-love. I didn’t really get the angst that I was expecting.
I did enjoy Ruby, Addison’s friend. She was a nice breath of fresh air. She was quirky, easy going, rebellious and you never know what that Aussie has up her sleeve.
Overall, I did enjoy this book. and would recommend it ff you are looking for a quick read with insta-love and some laughs.
