I hate vampires with a passion that is bone-deep—so I’ll never fall in love with one… I’ve lived in the town of Meadowview since I was five years old, but the first five years of my life are a mystery. My mother—the only person who could have told me about my roots has passed away, so I’ve come to terms with the fact that I might never know where I came from. When Meadowview’s master vampire, … Meadowview’s master vampire, Lucien, summons me to the nest, I meet his son, attractive and arrogant vampire Tomas Ivanov who, to my dismay, is instantly captivated by me.
During my visit, I learn that Lucien knows more about me than he’s willing to divulge.
The more I discover about my past, the more my life spirals out of control. Soon, I’m being hunted and with my life in danger, I need help from the one source I never thought I would turn to—a vampire.
I might have to trust Tomas with my life, but can I trust him with my heart?

Immortal Destiny is book one and a great start to the Immortals series. The writing is good, the characters are well developed and the story is compelling and filled with vampires, shifters, betrayal, secrets, steam, and so much more. WOW This is a first for me that Vampires would be in this situation but hey it is a story so anything and everything is possible. I have always loved Amy’s stories. They take me out of the real world that is rather UGH for the past year now. Leila is a Lion shifter, which she is not aware of this as her mother is passed away. She donates blood every so often at the Vampire nest. Tomas is the son of the Master of the nest and has taken an interest in Leila. His father does not approve, and this is not something that Tomas accepts especially when he finds outs out his father just wants to use Leila to further his conquest. Tomas is bound and determined to save Leila from this fate. Leila does not like this attention at all. Can Tomas keep her safe and also claim Leila for his own? Does Leila run or stick around for Tomas to help her? Grab this and see what has happened to get to this point and what comes next.

I received an advanced ARC copy of Immortal Destiny by Amy Armstrong from Booksprout to give my honest an unbiased opinion.
The story begins with Leila Andrews, presumably human, going to a vampire den/nest to donate blood. She has been fortunate enough to only donate every four months and that she has not been claimed by a vampire. However, that might come to an end. During her visit she encounters Tomas Ivanov, who is the son of Master vampire Lucien Ivanov. Tomas has an instant attraction to Leila that is almost feral. He asks his father for permission to claim Leila, but he is denied because Leila is no ordinary human, she is a lion shifter. Lucien wants to use Leila to gather allies with the lion shifters to aid in his war against the wolves to further advance his territory.
Unfortunately, Tomas learns of this plot and vows to save Leila from an abusive fate at all costs. Tomas saves Leila and for a short period of time they are happy, safe, and in love. Leila is taken by Tomas’s father and is mortally wounded but their love perseveres. The characters were very likeable and relatable. The book was very captivating and hard to put down.
