“Melissa Foster is synonymous with sexy, swoony, heartfelt romance!” New York Times Bestseller Lauren Blakely
Having a mad crush on her boss’s son, Matt Lacroux—an intriguing mix of proper gentleman and flirtatious bad boy—is probably not the smartest idea for single mother Mira Savage. Especially when the company, and her job, is already on shaky ground. But as a Princeton professor, Matt’s life is hours away from Mira’s home on Cape Cod, keeping him safely in the fantasy-only zone. And as a single mother to six-year-old Hagen, with a floundering company to save, fantasies are all she has time for.
With hopes of becoming dean off the table, and too many months of longing for a woman who lived too far away to pursue, Matt’s publishing contract couldn’t have come at a better time. He heads home to Cape Cod on a brief sabbatical, intent on starting his book, and finally getting his arms around sweet, seductive Mira.
A surprise encounter leads to white-hot passions and midnight confessions. The more time Matt and Mira spend together, the deeper their relationship grows, and the love and attention Matt showers on Hagen is more than she has ever dreamed of. But Matt’s sabbatical is only temporary, and Mira’s not saving his father’s company so she can leave it behind. Will their whispers of love be enough for one of them to change their life forever?

Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers
By: Melissa Foster
Narrated by: B.J. Harrison
The last of the Seaside Summers series has warmed my heart and just had me falling in love. Melissa Foster brings us Matt and Mira. This heartwarming romance is the kind of story I love to listen to on weekend, bringing a smile to my face and that feeling of happiness you can’t forget. Matt comes back to Cape Cod on sabbatical from Princeton to write a book. He is taking a look at his life and deciding what course to venture on next. He also is hoping to see Mira. When she is in need of some help, he is there to fix the shower head, and their passion comes alive. But not only do we have this incredible couple. We have 6 year old Hagen who steals the show. Smart, inventive and curious, you would think he is Matt’s son, and these two are quickly thick as thieves. And what can top that? Nothing but getting to see all of the Seaside couples, and enjoy where they are and what is coming next. It’s a wonderful listen and will make you feel happy!
BJ Harrison completes this series with his fabulous narration. He is the voice of the Seaside series and creates a feeling of continuity throughout. I enjoyed his voices, and thought he was on point with each character. He is a great storyteller and am always watching out for more from him.

Matt Lacroux is a professor at Princeton University. He has taken a three month sabbatical and returned home to work on writing his book and to determine whether or not he wants to return to teaching. His other reason for returning is to see Mira Savage, a single mother with a six year old son, Hagen. A faulty showerhead brings them together again sooner rather than later and they both are quick to realise that their desire for each other runs deep.
I loved reading about a single mum embarking on a new relationship. My mum was a single mum working and looking after me and my younger sister, then got into a new relationship and remarried. I loved the way Matt included Hagen in everything.
It was great to read more about the wonderful Seaside characters. I have not read all seven books before this but it was nice to read what is happening with the ones I have read and I look forward to reading the ones I have not read yet.
*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book*
BJ Harrison you are amazing. Your voice portrays these characters exactly as I expected them to be. You take characters that have feelings and brought them to life for me.
Melissa Foster…. Oh what you do to me. The heat, the passion, and the love are always amazing in your books. Seaside Whispers is no exception. While I LOVE LOVE LOVE all that what I really enjoy is the friendships. The Seaside Girls are absolutely the best friends anyone could ever ask for. I love how the open their “club” to other girls as they become part of the friendship circle. Of course there was chunky dipping, helping Mira achieve her goals, and support with every aspect of life.
The relationship between Matt and Mira was sweet. They’ve been flirting through text and occasional visits for over a year and when he decides to take a sabbatical for 3 months their relationship takes off. Matt didn’t just have a relationship with Mira he had a relationship with Mira and Hagen, Mira’s 6 year old son. The way he accept and included Hagen in all they did warmed my heart. I could understand how Mira was anxious about just letting Matt into their life when his plans were to leave again. Hagen and Mira both fell in love with Matt and him leaving would shatter them.
I loved the ending. Theresa is hilarious. Bella, one of the Seaside Girls, has pranked Theresa each season and Theresa gets the last word this season. I laughed so hard as tears fell because the moment was just so sweet and wonderful. I see a future with many more pranks.
Matt + Mira + Hagen = Perfect family!! Matt & Mira have been flirting with dating for years. Matt is a professor at Princeton & is only there for short visits. Mira is afraid to fully commit since she doesn’t want a long distance romance. Mira’s son, Hagen, loves Matt & they do a lot together. Matt has come home for a three month sabbatical to write a book. What’s going to happen when they are close for more than a few days at a time?
Loved SeasideWhispers! Matt’s relationship with Hagen was an integral part of the story & in my opinion, made it something special. The writing was special & descriptive enough that the sparks between Mira & Matt seemed to jump off the page. Mira’s concern for Hagen & his emotions wasapparent & I loved how easily Matt shifted so that was one of his concerns too. This is a wonderful addition to the series & can easily be read on its own.
When I pick up a Melissa Foster book now, I just know that I am going to be left feeling all warm and fuzzy and fall totally in love with the characters.
Seaside Whispers is no different, apart from Matt. He just seems to be the most absolutely perfect guy out there and everything he does throughout this book just makes you love him even more!
Matt Lacroux is a University Professor who has taken a sabbatical and came back to Seaside to work on a book, where he just so happens to reconnect with Mira who he met a year previous and who also works in his fathers hardware store,
Mira Savage is a single mother, and her son Hagen is her number one priority, finally after a year of messaging with Matt he is back in town and she doesn’t know what to make of their relationship as he is only to be home for 3 months or so.
They both have an amazing and intense chemistry toward each other, and whilst Matt is the perfect gentleman he always takes into consideration Hagen in everything he does and say with and around Mira. For me it made me love Matt even more as most guys probably would run a mile at starting a relationship with a single mother (I may be wrong) but he gets on well with Hagen and shows an interest in him and they do “guy stuff” together which I think just sealed with deal for Mira.
This was a great friends to lovers story and whilst it was Matt and Mira’s story as usual we got to read about the characters from Seaside, and whilst this is last in the Seaside Summers series it opens the doors for the upcoming Bayside series. Long time readers of Seaside will just love the ultimate prank pulled as come on it wouldn’t be Seaside without one now would it.
As with all Melissa’s books this one can be easily read as a stand alone, but with the cast of characters at your disposal in this book you will want to go and read every single book!
