Eliza (Ellie) and Junior are too cute. Their happy ever after had me cracking up. I really liked Connor’s reaction and then Junior’s reaction to Connor’s reaction. I recommend reading this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I could not stand Junior for about 3/4 of the book. His arrogance, cockiness and assuming attitude drove me crazy. I can say he did redeem himself towards the end. I liked Eliza but I wanted her to make Junior work for it a little more. She is confident, smart and talented. As much as I disliked Junior, I like him with Eliza. I found this to be a fun, emotional, roller coaster ride. In my opinion Tabatha Kiss kept me turning the pages, she gave me some suspense, humor and lots of steam. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
I loved Junior and Eliza’s story.
Both characters are pretty profound. Eliza is just awesome. Despite her painful childhood she is the sweetest person, full of sass and fun…
Junior is just the opposite, at least in the beginning when he seemed to be a real jerk. But maybe you just have to meet the right person to change? Junior certainly hit the jackpot with Eliza. Together they are just perfect for each other.
The plot includes some twists and turns, some deep emotions, lots of banter, and that hot chemistry between the two protagonists that almost set my e-reader on fire.
That ending! ~ sigh! ~ I adored Junior pretty much from the very beginning. Even when he was at his most self-centered, cockiest player self, there was still something sweet about him that I couldn’t resist. Eliza split my heart right down the middle. I loved that she had such a sensible head on her shoulders. She thinks through her decisions and made Junior work for her attention. I wasn’t such a fan of the way she treated him really cold-heartedly at times. I realize that she was just trying to protect her own heart, but I didn’t like her very much during those moments. I really liked that we got to see them grow and evolve. And that ending was utter perfection.
There was just so much to love about this book! From the wonderful storyline that was filled with a enjoyable blend of drama, humor, sweetness, cuteness, steam, deep emotions and heartache. The characters were well developed and quickly stole your heart. My heart bled for Eliza. From her father, to her childhood; she had suffered a lot of heartbreak and pain. Smart, sassy, fun, she was awesome. I must say that going in I had my reservations about Junior. I was totally proven wrong though. He was so much more than that entitled, womanizing jock. He could be sweet, charming, funny and simply incredibly loyal, in short he was perfect for Eliza. I loved the banter, attraction, emotional connection and chemistry between these two. An absolutely delightful romance, that I highly recommend.
I love sports romance. And that’s why this story intrigued me. This was quite good and enjoyable read. It was well written and developed with some amazing characters. I loved the ending – epilogue it was truly beautiful and heartwarming.
This was a forbidden love story. Both Eliza and Junior had more layers to their characters, were flawed and I liked seeing them becoming the persons they always were meant to be. Their chemistry and connection were amazing. I loved how Eliza helped him study and how Junior helped her with her acting class and how they were meeting in the library. They were perfect together.
Overall really enjoyable read.
This book was pretty good, considering I’m not into football (other than the tight pants). I really didn’t like Junior at first, enough so, that I almost quit reading the book, but forced myself to continue since I’ve liked the other books from this author. Glad I did, somewhere along the way, his character changed & became likable & the story changed. Eliza’s character was a perfect match to Junior. I like how it almost felt like love at first sight for him, though he never realizes it thru the story. I’m also glad they got their HEA. I do feel the book needed a better editor.

I love books of manhore jocks that find their true love. I don’t know why but I do. This is one of those books. Here we have Junior that is attracted to coach’s daughter and against his coach’s rules he goes after her. Eliza, knowing that he is a player gives him insentives (i.e. if you win the next game, I’ll let you bla bla) to not only help him achieve his goals but keep him close to her longer. It works just fine, when the inevitable happens. Father finds out.
The book was predictable but I didn’t care. It flew just fine and I didn’t have to skip or jump pages (besides, the sex scenes were good).
My only problem was Eliza at the first 30%. OMG I did not like her. I didn’t even want her to end up with Junior. She was so sure for herself that he will stay around because, and I quote “If he doesn’t get me, he’ll die. That’s how badly he wants me…”. These thoughts are not even during sex. WTF woman?!!!! She just sounded so overly confident that I wanted her to not have her HEA.
BUT, what I loved was that Junior had the same reaction as I did. For instance, she did something and I thought well, if I was him I wouldn’t be interested anymore. And what do you know!!! Junior told her the same thing. I loved that Junior wasn’t blind from lust/love to not see it.
Anyway, after 30% Eliza stoped acting like that and stoped irritating the hell out of me.
I was in the mood for a college/sexy jock/ dirty sex book and I got it. Not five stars because of Eliza.
At the beginning of the book Junior is your typical All-Star Jock, a pig. Then he meets his match in the new coach’s daughter Eliza. The coach is a retired famous retired football player. He’s told the players to stay away from Eliza & Eliza to stay away from his players. Junior and Eliza don’t like taking orders and embark on a wild courtship. Follow this wild ride full of twists, turns, romance, and hot sex!!! I highly recommend this book!!!.
