This story continues where Rocked left off. But I love the focus on just the newlyweds. Harper and Deacon deserve some alone time and this story is all about them. But what would their crazy life be without interruptions and distractions from their true focus. There was so much packed into this novella. I cannot get enough of Harper and Deacon.. They have a romance like no other. It is full of excitement, turbulence and steam. They fit well together and that makes this story so addicting. I hope there is more to come from this couple.
Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott bring out the chemistry between Harper and Deacon like no one else can. Kai has a soft sweet voice that brings out the sweet, yet determined girl in Harper. Wen is amazing as Deacon. Wen has that voice that makes his characters so swoon worthy. Deacon, being a rock star, has fans falling at his feet, and Wen makes the readers fall as well. (Have I mentioned his chuckle gets me every time) I love this narrating team.

I loved everything about this book, from Taryn Elliott & Cari Quinn’s wonderful writing style to the storylines they created. This is a continuation of Deacon & Harper’s story, I had the pleasure of meeting them in the first book “Rocked”, if you have not read it and you should it is an awesome book. The newlyweds finally get their honeymoon, they have not had much alone time because Deacon’s been busy working with the band and Harper with her new catering business. So off they go to a cottage on the beach in Galveston. Their honeymoon is amazing & steamy, until they are faced with an unexpected surprise and some life changing news. I love these two together, their love is new but it is solid and strong and it is great to see how they hashed things outsI am looking forward to hear more about them in this great series. Thank you Taryn Elliott & Cari Quinn for another amazing heartfelt and super hot story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are talented narrators and voice artists. They continue to bring these characters and their story to life. I love Kai’s take on Harper, she sounds just as I picture her, strong, independent and fierce. Wen’s portrayal of Deacon is awesome too, hot rocker god with a heart of gold. This narration team is simply amazing, their duet performance brings the story up another notch of greatness. It is always a pleasure to listen to their work. Thank you for another fabulous listen
Just when you think you can’t get any more of Deacon McCoy, here he is again.
This picks up where Rocked ended and I won’t get into details in case you haven’t read it, but just know that this is the little piece of cake you were missing when the first book ended. If you’re anything like me, you wanted just a little bit more to see how everything plays out for Harper and Deacon.
I listened to this one. I’ve made it my mission to listen to as much Kai and Wen as humanly possible. At this rate, I’m not sure if I’ll ever catch up, but I will try!
I thank those two for bringing Deacon and Harper and the band of Oblivion to life. They’ve done a spectacular job. Again.
