Love is the last thing on Jack Harrington’s mind when he sets out to meet Andi Walsh’s flight. Recently back to work after spending more than a year tending to his comatose wife, Jack is focused on getting through each day and caring for his three daughters. However, the moment he sets eyes on Andrea Walsh, the interior designer who has come to decorate the hotel his company is building in … Newport, Rhode Island, Jack begins to wonder if Andi might be his second chance. After a disastrous marriage, Andi, single mom to a hearing-impaired son, isn’t exactly looking for love, either, but that’s what she finds with Jack. The two embark on a long-distance relationship fraught with challenges as they balance the needs of their children and dueling careers while Jack continues to care for his wife, Clare. Just when Jack thinks his life is once again settled, he is confronted with a new challenge that tests him in ways he never could’ve imagined, leaving him to wonder if “happily ever after” is in the cards for him.

What an absolutely compelling story. It was definitely full of surprises sometimes painful but yet it was gripping and kept you on your toes. The way she intertwined the characters was amazing. One thing that Kept coming through was how much love there was to be had. At the end of the first book I knew there was no way I was going to be able to …
I love this book. I’ve read it numerous times, and it deeply affects me each time.
I won’t recap the plot, seeing as you can read the blurb, but I feel the need to address this: many people have given this book 1 star mainly due to the fact that they don’t condone cheating (neither do I), and this book technically has it. While I respect their …
Love all of these books in this series! Marie Force is an awesome author!
This was the first book I read from Marie Force and it hooked me and started me on an addiction to her work. I know I will never overcome it, nor do I want too. A one-click author for sure. ‘Treading Water’, was powerful, gripping, I just couldn’t put it down. It had every emotion, I laugh I fell in love, and I cried…. more than once. But I …
It kept your interest from beginning to end & you couldn’t wait to read the next one in the series!.
Life can change in a blink of an eye. Something to consider. As well as the difference between treading water and living.
I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The only book that made me think out loud . Wonderful !
This book was like many of her others… truly emotional and brings out real feelings. Characters are brutally honest and you ache, rage and love right along with them. I have read this series more than once and will read them again in the future!
I absolutely loved this book. Jack is devastated since his wife was hit by a car and in a coma. He is trying to survive without her and raise their three daughters. He is a very successful architect and a very wealthy one. After trying to take care of his wife in their house fire over a year he buys another house and a staff to take care of …
A truly awful story. Jack’s wife goes into a coma after an auto accident where he was partially at fault. For a short few months, he sits by her bed, saying she’s the love of his life and he can’t live without her. Shoving aside his three daughters, he goes on a bender, ending it was an affair with the designer he’s hired on a project. Next, he …
Loved It
This is a wonderful story of love, loss, finding home & renewal. Jack & Claire had been made close to twenty years and raising three beautiful daughters. Until one day she was hit by car and ended up in a coma. Then Jack tried to move after 14 months. It takes awhile but he finds love in Andi & her son. But things get tricky after that.
I love the author but this time was extremely disappointed in the ending.
I could not put the book done!
Too much sex. Not necessary for story.
I loved this story…. next please!
