A high-flying fantasy “packed with bold adventure and sizzling sensuality”—first in the series by the New York Times bestselling author (RT Book Reviews). It’s not always easy being a female warrior with a nickname like Annwyl the Bloody. Men tend to either cower in fear—a lot—or else salute. It’s true that Annwyl has a knack for decapitating legions of her ruthless brother’s soldiers without … ruthless brother’s soldiers without pausing for breath. But just once it would be nice to be able to really talk to a man, the way she can talk to Fearghus the Destroyer.
Too bad that Fearghus is a dragon, of the large, scaly, and deadly type. With him, Annwyl feels safe—a far cry from the feelings aroused by the hard-bodied, arrogant knight Fearghus has arranged to help train her for battle. With her days spent fighting a man who fills her with fierce, heady desire, and her nights spent in the company of a magical creature who could smite a village just by exhaling, Annwyl is sure life couldn’t get any stranger.
She’s wrong . . .
And just wait until you meet the rest of the family . . .

Just love this world!
This is a fun start to a series with dragon-shifters set in a fantasy world. Lots of action, funny characters and sexy times. Author sets up the characters for the following books nicely. I’ll be looking for the rest of the series.
I loved this book. Not only was there some really steamy sex but it had great characters and was hysterical. I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to read the other books in this series.
Very disappointing ending where the story was dragged out a little longer due to the most pathetic excuse for a miscommunication I’ve ever read. Good premise, but not well executed. The summary of the story is more satisfying than the actual book itself. Also, it takes more than a few weeks to get significantly better at sword fighting, especially since they didn’t really practice anymore after they started sleeping together. And I just don’t think it’s as easy to behead people in battle as the writer makes it seem unless you’re fighting truly feeble swordsmen, and yet the heroine is beheading people left right and center.
Great characters, lots of action, and romance.
For me, too little character building between the sex scenes.
The ed. with Chains and Flames, not A Tale of Two Dragons.
