My all time favorite book. If I was reading on a paperback it would have probably fallen apart by now!
I have really enjoyed the entire series!! Great reads, quick and unique to each relationship and situation. Frequently, I see a writing trend in an author and every relationship follows it somehow — but that is NOT the case!! The author did an amazing job applying every character and their personalities to the relationship(s).
I listened in the Audible unlimited package 🙂
This is the 2nd book in the GearShark series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. However, due to continuation from 1st book as content, I recommend reading this series is order.
Trent & Drew have been best friends, now they are struggling to be more. What’s stopping them you ask? Well for the answer – you must read! (I am not a spoiler.)
Drew’s career is just REVving up and about to take off. Trent is getting finished with his current life, and leaving that behind to start a REVolution. Can they learn they are stronger together?
I absolutely LOVED this book! I think the series is terrific. I find this author to be a must buy for my shelves. You should read and find out why. Surprises around every corner, sexy scenes, hot men, cool cars, this has something for everyone!
Trent and Drew had a hard battle to fight to get their happily ever after. Through their parents turning their back, through coming out to everyone and through all the plotting (which in some cases was hilarious) for the payback in jumping Trent, they stayed true to each other. I listened to the audio book and the narrating was perfect. A heartwarming story in the racing world.
After the ending in #Junkie, I was scared about the outcome of this book but but had faith in Drew and Trent getting the HEA they deserve. I really wish their had been more about the racing in this book. I’m not saying it was a bad book, and I get why the story went the way it did. The characters needed to accept them selves, and get acceptance from those around them. I loved the banter and just seeing the live and connection that Trent and Drew had. I do love lab on reading more because there are a few characters I really want to see more of. 4 stars #2OCCJD
You have to read book 1 #Junkie before this book and #Rev is the conclusion to Trew (Trent & Drew’s) story. I really love that they fought so hard for their love for each other despite what they had to overcome from outside sources. This is a really great read and I am happy that I gave it a go considering it is a M/M book and not my normal reading selection.
Gahhh! I couldn’t wait to read #Rev after the ending of #Junkie left me in a teary mess. #Rev picks up where #Junkie left off at angst level 10! Trent and Drew find themselves at a turning point in their fledgling romantic relationship. Trent, ever the caretaker and protector, does not want to do anything to jeopardize Drew’s racing career. He is willing to sacrifice his wants and needs for Drew. Now that Drew has had Trent as his friend a lover, he isn’t interested in a life without Trent in it. In this book, Trent and Drew continue to explore and define their relationship and what it means to be a gay man as defined by society. Cambria Hebert navigates this topically beautifully and the love and care these two men share is the stuff of dreams. Love is indeed love, and Trent and Drew prove that to be true. #TrewLoveForever
I have lots of love for all of these characters. One of the many things that I love the most is that they are one big family. It’s so important to all of them. Your family has your back, no matter what. It makes you want to be apart of that too. Show of hands…who else wants to live with them? Memememe!!
Now onto these magnificent men. *sigh* “Congratulations on finding a love worth fighting for.”
“Love isn’t easy, not for anyone, but you don’t push it away. You hold even tighter.” <---YES! How awesome are these two together? The writing in both of their books is phenomenal. I highlighted the crap outta them! So many amazing and wonderful loving moments. *shakes head* I can't even go there about their parents. They make me mad. Moving on. "I fell in love with my best friend. It's a good damn thing I was a fighter. I'd fight for him. I'd fight for me. I'd fight for us." *sniffs* Hells yeah!! I wish this series could go on forever! A Joey book would be super awesome! I can't recommend the whole hashtag series enough, it's one of my top favorite series!!
I was so insanely excited for this book. I can’t even explain how excited. I fell in love with the Hashtag series as soon as I read the first book and I hung on every word from there on out. I’d always had a spot in my heart for Trent but could never figure out what his place in the series was. He wasn’t really a secondary character… but he wasn’t a main character either. And he was so insanely loveable… but no one was loving him (as more than a friend, anyway). So I spent the entire series wondering what Cambria was going to do with his character. The closer the series came to ending, I was legitimately worried about him. His character was not arcing the way I expected him to. Nothing and no one was happening for him.
And then Drew showed up. Randomly, out of nowhere. I wondered why he showed up all of a sudden, so close to the series ending. Such a random time (though he totally worked in the story) to bring in a new character. And then he started interacting with Trent and they got along so well and I knew. I just knew.
I fell in love with them hard in #Junkie. It was the book that I was most excited for out of all of the Hashtag/GearShark books and I absolutely could not wait for it. I was so excited to witness these two characters that I loved so dearly learn more about themselves and each other. It was such an amazing experience to watch and read along as they discovered their love for one another and how they dealt with all the criticism and judgement from not only the outside world but themselves as well. They’re discovery was beautiful and made for a monumental story.
#Rev picked up right where #Junkie left off (this satisfied a lot of people, I’m sure, because #Junkie ended on a cliffhanger) and we got to start immediately where we left the boys. So much happened in this book and I can honestly say that it was just as amazing as the first, if not more, because they finally got to fully love one another. Unfortunately, they also had to deal with a lot of real-life disappointments in the terms of family and people they thought were their friends. Being gay and being in the spotlight isn’t easy and they learn this the hard way.
I can very easily say that #Rev definitely made me fall even harder for Trent. He’s such a kind soul and I can relate to him quite a bit, actually. From his home life to the way he sees himself and others around him. I can see myself in him and it made me feel for his characters ten times more.
Drew is still the same awesome, sassy Drew that stole everyone’s attention in the Hashtag series. He reminds me a lot of Braeden (just a little more subdued and, well… gay). He and Trent compliment each other well and I couldn’t get enough of them.
I am sad that this is the last Drew/Trent book but also excited that there are more books to come in the GearShark series. Arrow managed to wiggle his Beiber-like self into my heart and I cannot wait to learn more about him! I’m not that huge a fan of Lorhaven, but I’m curious of him as well and I’m excited to read their stories.
Hands down, another must-read from Cambria Hebert.
This starts off where the first book ended. Drew, Romeo, and Braeden want revenge for what happened to Trent. They all come up with a plan to get the four Omega brothers back. Along with revenge Drew and Trent have to face many other difficult obstacles. They have to face coming out to their family and the world. They are tired of sneaking around and want everyone to know they are in love. Only problem they face is the hate and uncertainty of what their family and friends think. Luckily their true family we find out at the end of the first book loves them no matter what. (Plus they kind of knew already.)
I love Trent and Drew. They are so perfect together. It makes me sort of sad that the next book isn’t about them. I want more of Trew. No I need more!!! Please say there are going to be more books in this series so I can get more of Trew.
P.S. Drew is a major hot Alpha male.
Can I just write a review just saying how much I love these 2 boys, over and over again?!? Because I LOVE these boys! I didn’t want their story to ever end!
“I refused to quit Trent.
And I refuse to quit these boys!
#Rev picks up right where #Junkie ended, with Trent thinking he needed to break things off with Drew to keep him safe. Silly, misguided, darling Trent!
“I fell in love with my best friend. It’s a good damn thing I was a fighter. I’d fight for him. I’d fight for me. I’d fight for us.”
This really is such a beautiful love story. It’s about 2 people desperately in love, overcoming obstacles that no one should have to, in the name of love. Drew and Trent have to go through so much in this book- not only are they still learning to navigate their new life as a couple, but they have to figure out how/when they are going to “come out” to their families and friends, to Drew’s new boss and sponsors at the racing league, to Trent’s fraternity and teammates. It’s not easy, but as long as they have each other there’s nothing these two can’t face together.
This story is so genuine and heartfelt, so honest and endearing, so real, it broke my heart and healed it all at the same time.
“Drew and I were stronger together. I was stronger with him than I would ever be apart. He gave me strength. I gained courage from his love.”
Drew and Trent completely stole my heart in #Junkie, but with #Rev I happily wrapped it up in a bow and handed it over to them.
