You’ll love this first book in the series, because the characters keep you from putting the book down.

I LOVE this author! She always has a way of writing that will keep you guessing and YOU WILL NOT WANT TO PUT IT DOWN. Human Trafficking. Dr. Dude’s girls always go missing – however they have not been able to pin it on him….. Michaela is retired from the police force and has opened an Irish Pub. Angel is her police dog. (also retired) Once Michaela is on the case — will Angel and Michaela be able to crack the case? Well written characters – super suspenseful storyline. This book will take you on a roller coaster of emotions.
I received a copy of this book through the Silver Dagger Blogging Program. All thoughts are my own.
Dr. Dude or Dr. Crude?
This was quite an interesting story. Sure is a great start to what appears to be an intriguing series. Lots of twists and turns throughout the book with much mystery, murder, and mayhem. I can hardly wait to read the next book!
Interesting story. I liked it.
I like reading K9 detective series, so bought this on that premise..WELL IN THIS BOOK, the dog barely mentioned unless discussing how he got shot saving Mic. SO VERY DISAPPOINTING..and it never gets better. ALL DOWNHILL.
SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LIST IT AS A K9 POLICE PROCEDURAL when the dog is not even really in it…
The OLD LADY COUNTESS – supposedly her partner but who operates on her own – and is in her 80s – is totally unlikable. The author CLEARLY does not know senior women or how to write dialogue for one because she comes across as childish, rude and JUST A BITCH. NOT A LIKABLE CHARACTER AT ALL.
The entire book is written on a childish level to the point I had to make sure this was not a young teen read. IT WAS NOT…just childish writing.
TOO PREACHY…the point of the sex trafficking was just too much and too preachy.
Hard to find a ground you could stand on and be okay with or like. Not enough of ANYTHING to like anyone.
AND AGAIN INEPT POLICE PROCEDURAL WITH LOUSY COPS that the bad guy so easily gets away???
because like an idiot I bought the first 3, I am STUCK TRYING TO FINISH THEM…
DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL
Don’t let the title of this book stop you from reading it! It has twists and turns galore as Michaela attempts to find a missing girl. The girl went on a job interview and was never heard from again!
Michaela’s partner in crime is an 80 year old woman who is bound and determined to be in on the action–you are going to love this feisty older woman! And her German Shepard does try to keep an eye on everything–and is still able to save the day as old as he is!!
Never read a book about mafia style human trafficking before! Introduced some good advice on how to keep family with serious health problems safe by providing tracking for them.
Very well written and interesting because I know the city
Great whodunit with plots twists and turns!
A great fast-paced story of a retired detective and her dog, Angel. It’s a great page turner. You wont want to put it down.
