After reading book one I did not expect to meet Owen as the next MC, but it was a very nice surpise!
Following up on the events from book one and Brenden’s roommates, it adds another layer of hurt to the mix and great characters that made this story a pure reading pleasure!
Owen’s and Andrew’s story was sweet and written in a way that delivers a totally believable “meant to be” theme. Give me more!
This second book in the series basically happens because of events in the first book, but can totally be read as a standalone. Owen comes to Ocean Vista seeking to learn about the brother he never met and there meets his brothers friends one of whom is Andrew. This is the story of how they deal with their shared grief and their pasts and build a relationship. The grief plays a strong role in the story, so bear that in mind but watching the developing relationship is heartwarming. I’ll be continuing on with book three to learn more about these characters.
Oh my heart.
Man these guys are giving me an emotional run. Florida may be the sunshine state but it has its heartbreak too. I do think Owen and Brendan were cheated by their mother. Tbh most of the parents so far are pretty sucky. Thank goodness the guys have each other. But there is still so much pain and those that need help. Man I did love Owen and Andrew’s story. And seeing how happy Cole and Ian are was an added bonus. Now we just need the rest happy.
I loved it! I liked this one so much better than the first in the series. I was a little surprised that the story centered around Owen, Brandon’s brother and Andrew. Owen has come to town to get to know a little more about the brother he lost. Andrew is a positive, upbeat guy despite his discouraging mother. These two had great chemistry and connection. Loved it! The secondary characters were great. I’m voluntarily leaving a review form an advanced copy that I received.
Owen and Andrew were so damn sweet and sexy together. Both are really good guys and find each other when they most needed and then fall in love. Andrew is the owner of Busy Day Cafe, he had a few disappointments in through life and his family isn’t the most supportive but he wants to do something to make his life and his family better, once he decided something he go after it.
Owen is a teacher and loves his job, he wants to know about his birth family but never get the chance to meet his bother Brendan, he and Cole exchange letters and convince him to spend time with them so he could get to know his bother through them, he grew up with a family who loved and supported him. He and Andrew meet before at the beach and connect I like the chemistry between them, they’re there for each other they decided to enjoy each other for as long as they have together.
I liked that they have a good communication and always were honest with each other. They time together was always good for both of them and they developed a beautiful relationship, there weren’t no games or guilt. The cafe battles was a great way to way for Andrew to get to know and help Marc, Morgan and his sister they make a great team. This book was a really beautiful romance. I loved Owen and Andrew!
I am really loving this series! Such a tight knit house of roommates, each with their own insecurities and histories. This story is about the new Roommate Andrew and the unknown brother -Owen of their former roommate Brendan who died in a horrible accident. Owen is a bit awkward and insecure history teacher On his vacation he decides to go and meet the roommates of the brother he never knew he had. He meets Andrew by chance on the beach when he falls asleep and gets sunburnt! Andrew to the rescue, they meet again in a bar and well to not give too much away they eventually start a sweet and steamy casual relationship. Andrew is a fun lovable blonde who owns the Cafe and is participating in a Cooking Contest. I will let you read the book to see how the contest and the relationship unfold! The book is told from both of their POV so you can to experience the journey of feels with them! As always the rest of the roommates are always around! I cannot wait for River’s story! I recommend this book and series to those who love a sweet, steamy romance with a bit of angst and a series that keeps you growing with all the different couples!
Wow! Ok, this book was so much better for me than book 1! While there was some internal monologuing, it was no where near as repetitive as in book 1. Owen and Andrew’s story really worked for me, (although as a teacher, I’ve never taught at a school that has a 2 week spring break…Owen, can I have your old job?!) There were some really obvious set-ups for future installments, (the scent of oranges and leather…duh), but it was really nice to see at least one person in this world that has supportive parents! Owen & Andrew’s connection really felt legit, even though Andrew better scour his kitchen after 2 highly unsanitary activities!
I liked meeting Owen and his almost instant connection with Andy. Not as angsty as book 1, but still quite a bit. I was pleasantly surprised at Owen’s dad’s support for him and his relationship with Andy. I liked that Owen found his backbone and went full throttle and all in with life and Andy.
