I received this book for an honest review from the Fiction Guild. What a wonderful continuation of the story. This story brings all of the characters from Bird in Hand’s 2 wonderful families and their youngest daughter trying to find her beau. She has such a giving heart and looks out for everyone else before she considers what she need. Her father’s business partner’s nephew Chris is coming to work with them in the Harness Shop and his first day he seems so lost. Emily decides that Christ needs a friend and tries very hard to do that. He finds that she is what he needs to heal himself and she finds the friend that she knows will one day become her future husband. There are just a few hiccups along the one being Chris needs to mend fences with his father and he lives in OH. I love this story and can’t wait to read the 3 book in this series.
All I remember is that I really liked the story.
The Cherished Quilt #3 Amish Heirloom by Amy Clipston
In book three of the Amish Heirloom series, The Cherished Quilt, we read Emily Fisher and Christopher Hochstetler’s story. Emily is a sweet young woman who cares for everyone and has a welcoming smile for Christopher. However, Christopher is not so friendly, in fact he tries to be as unfriendly as possible. Of course, Emily does not know of the tragic events that lead him to her home in Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania. Will he be able to keep his distance from Emily or will her sweet disposition break down the walls he has built around his heart? Things do not unfold as Emily would like, far from it. What plans does God have for her and Christopher?
Emily is my favorite character in this story. She has such a giving heart and gentle spirit. Christopher on the other hand has a heart that is so wounded it swept across the pages and tugged at my heart. I too wanted to help him in his struggle. The Cherished Quilt is a sweet story of forgiveness, second chances, grief and guilt, hope and healing, romance, love and faith. A heartwarming story.

This is centered around quilting in the Amish community. Really enjoyed these novellas.
I read a lot of Amish fiction and sometimes it is more fiction than Amish. This series has kept me captivated. I can’t wait to sit and read. I am eager to read the next in the series. Emotions run high within the Amish culture.

This book kept me coming back for more. I’d have to stop but I couldn’t wait to get back. I want more of their story!
Gives you a window into a simpler lifestyle practiced by the Amish and Mennonite communities. A love story without sex scenes!
