The story is a sweet, clean, Christian, holiday story. Port Provident was devastated after it was hit by Hurricane Hope . If you have ever have lived through a hurricane, you know that the recovery period is long and stressful, especially for a town that depends on tourism. That is the case of Port Provident.
Jessica Bretton, owner of the town’s year round Christmas story is worried that now that the usual holiday activities are cancelled , she and the rest of the business owners will have to close shop or take great losses. Bradley Thorpe , the current Director of the Park Board, has been secretly attracted . He is determined to help her and the town.
It’s a story of hope , faith, love , and the spirit of Christmas. A perfect ending for this series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
My heart goes out to the citizens of Port Provident. Kristen Ethridge has broken my heart with each new book. I know and can feel their pain trying to rebuild their town. The town of Port Provident and especially Jessica Bretton’s Christmas story depend on tourists to come. What happens when the tourists believe the town is shut down and the Mayor and City Council feel bringing tourists in will put too much a strain on the city budget? Hardship and potential bankruptcy loom in the future. Can Jessica and Bradly find a way to save her store? I love when creative answers are found to real life problems. I loved this book.
Holiday of Hope, the fourth book in the Port Provident: Hurricane Hope series, brings the endearing series to a close. Set during the Christmas season three months after Hurricane Hope devastates Port Provident, this book finds the city “moving in the right direction toward recovery” but still far from “normal” and offers a lesson in hope and love as the community continues to work together toward normalcy and rekindle the Christmas spirit. Like the other books in the series, this one features a well-developed plot and engaging, believable characters. If you are looking for a quick, entertaining, inspiring read; you have found it! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book but am under no obligation to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Jessica is losing hope and Bradley is there to help her get it back. Can he win the girl in the process? A really sweet romance about finally seeing the one right in front of you. Loved how he helped her and the rest of the town bring some Christmas joy and business back back.
Holiday of Hope is an uplifting story about what individuals can accomplish when times are tough. Port Provident’s economy is struggling, a long time Christmas tradition that would boost sales is cancelled and business are going to fail if something is not done. Jessica, a struggling shop owner, steps up. Bradley, the hatchet man for local government helps her find ways around the existing laws so that an historic Christmas event can be revived. Maybe Jessica and Bradley will find some magic of their own. I love this story about hope and magic all year long.
I loved this story of Jessica, a small business owner who was struggling to keep her business open following a devastating hurricane, and Bradley, the bureaucrat who stuck out his neck to help her and the other struggling business owners when the government didn’t consider their needs a priority. With the help of Bradley and some divine intervention, the store owners came up with their own plan that stayed within the limits of the law and saved the day. What happened with Bradley and Jessica? Read it and find out! Highly recommend!
