Saved By My Blackguard is the first book in the Linked Across Time series. In this book we get Paul and Evelyn’s story. Paul is a workaholic who is told to take a vacation so he heads to a tropical island. When a storm hits changing life as he knows it as he wakes up back in time. Lady Evelyn is sailing to England to marry when the storm hits changing her life direction. Both stranded on an island together they learn to rely on each other and their feelings grow for each other. This is a great start to the Linked Across Time series. The writing is well done, the characters are great and I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
In “ Saved by My Blackguard ” Dawn Brower brings a time travel to capture your imagination and entertain you. I love time travel tales so I was immediately interested in the story since I’ve enjoyed so many of the authors other books and series.
While I do not usually like to read short stories I did find this really interesting and entertaining. Had the story been longer I think the characters could’ve definitely been developed more. I liked Lady Evelyn but she definitely wasn’t a woman who knew her own mind. Paul was a charming and I enjoyed his character.
The story did have some discrepancies but I still enjoyed reading it.
Thank you Ms. Bower for this intriguing story of two people finding the sweet love they didn’t know they were missing. I look forward to reading the rest of your the series.
This is the first book in the Linked Across Time series. It is the year 1987 and Paul Dewitt is at his doctor’s office. The doctor tells him he is working himself to death. He needs a vacation. He goes to Port Royal for some rest and relaxation. He gets caught in a hurricane. Evelyn is from St Kitt and the year 1722. She is sailing back to England to get married. Her ship is attacked by pirates. Captain Jack Morgan kidnaps her. They sail into a hurricane and she ends up on a deserted island. Paul and Evelyn run into each other during the storm. They now must take shelter from the storm. They find out they are from different times and wonder who is in their correct time. Was she thrown into the future? Did he get pulled into the past? This is a a short and sweet romance. They each find the love that they did not know they needed. Paul is chivalrous and tender towards Evelyn. Evelyn and Paul are swept away by their passion. What I liked first off was it was the man that time traveled. Most of the other books always has the women going back in time. This is the story of their struggles on the island and with pirates and weather and just survival. I really liked Jack Morgan want to read about him later. This had action and romance and just plain survival. The characters were wonderful. Just a great story.

This is the first book in the Linked Across Time series. Admittedly, I started this series several books later and loved them so much and it only made sense to go back and start from the beginning. I normally don’t read a lot of time travel stories, but this author does a wonderful job of weaving such an interesting and intriguing story, that I look forward to picking up a book from this series. Paul is a hardworking man, who is definitely overworked and needs a break. He decides to take a vacation and heads to a warm tropical island. He travels back in time and meets Lady Evelyn who is in trouble. He does everything in his power to protect her and escape the big storm that is brewing. They hide in a cave and realize that Paul is from the future. Inevitably, they fall in love, but what will they do about the time period difference? There is also the small matter of the evil pirates that are after Lady Evelyn. Interesting storyline, and great characters, this book definitely takes you to a different world and allows you to escape for a while. I enjoyed this very much and loved seeing how the series began.

The first book in the Linked Across Time series a well written story with a very good storyline. Paul Dewitt gets thrown back in time and meets Lady Evelyn Beckett their story has suspense, drama, danger, time travel, and love. I enjoyed reading this story.
The Linked Across Time series has got to be my favorite of all the time travel book series currently out there that I have read and this story of Paul and Evelyn started it all! I loved everything about this book because it has a little of everything happening in it. From Paul being the one thrown back in time (which is unusual since in most TT books it is the woman who does the traveling) to a shipwreck, a deserted island, pirates, a nasty villain, and of course, true love and a HEA! This book is perfect for romance junkies of every kind!

A time travel story between 1987 and 1722. Paul is on an enforced vacation in Jamaica for his health when he falls through a time hole and finds himself looking after Lady Evelyn who has just survived being thrown overboard from a pirate ship. Forced to shelter from a tropical storm in a cave, the two fall in love but can they escape the pirates and have a relationship in either time period?
