I’m going to find out how to destroy The Last Riders and give Lily the future she deserves.
… deserves.

There’s more to me than meets the eye. King thinks he’s too good for me, that I’m less than dirt in his eyes. Summary:
King only ever wanted to do right by his daughter. Unfortunately, his good intentions always seem to end in disaster, and King can’t help but face up to the truth that he was never supposed to be a father. The world he not only lived in, but allowed himself to become immersed in, is too dangerous for someone as sweet and innocent as Lily. Therefore, he continues to make mistakes when he decides to stay in Treepoint to get to know Lily. He immediately goes on the offensive after learning just who Lily is married to, and who that marriage connects her with. From the outside looking in, Evie looks like she’s just a wh*re to a group of bikers. At least, that’s what King determines, and he’s prepared to use any avenue he can find to bring the Last Riders down. Too bad that assumption is his biggest mistake of all. Evie is nobody’s fool, and there is more to who she is than anyone could guess. King thinks to use her as a means to find a weakness, but what he fails to see is that she holds his life in the palm of her hands.
As much as I love Evie, I couldn’t love her book absolutely. I did not like King in Shade’s Fall, so was prepared to hold a grudge. He was pretty awful for a good portion of the book, and I just couldn’t get past his behaviour towards Shade and Lily or Evie. King was arrogant, judgemental, and close-minded. Usually, his actions only created more problems, and considering the choices he made in life and mistakes that went right along with them, I felt he had no room to judge the Last Riders for anything. Now Evie, was everything. I’ve loved her since we met her, her mistake with Beth notwithstanding. Evie is a very complex character. Up until now, she’s shown us who she is; loyal to her club, giving, caring, fun, funny, sassy, and protective. But Evie hides that there is a lot more to her personality and her feelings go much deeper with happy, painful, and even tragic memories to support them. Still, she was a strong woman who gave the best of herself to those she cared about. I actually really did like King and Evie together when King wasn’t talking. Lol. Evie needed him to teach her that she could love again, and King needed her in the new life he made for himself. There were also some pretty sexy scenes that weren’t hard to read. Overall, I enjoyed the book, but not as much as other books in the world. There was both love and action which ensured I kept turning the pages to see what would happen next. I always love seeing glimpses of the Last Riders, both past couples and future ones. I’m especially interested in Lucky and Train. I also can’t wait to get back to the Biker B*tches and learn more about Killyama. While not my favorite book, I do think it’s a good idea to read King before continuing with the series. The book doesn’t completely focus on the Last Riders, but it does give some big information at what I’m sure will be a major plot point in future. There were also hints at future storylines in the other connected series. Cash is up next, and I can’t wait to see who ties him down.
So this was most unexpected couple that I have come across. King and Evie were perfect for each other, both little bit broken from their pasts. But they were strong due to their determination and stubbornness towards life. I loved everything about them. I can’t wait to read more.
My heart broke for Evie, reading her back story and hearing her tell it to King. Broke my heart. The fact she was raped whilst she was stationed and the only one there for her was Shade and he took care of her. This story just showed how close Evie and Shade are with each other and I loved it. And then when Levi Evie’s high school sweet heart died and she lost him and then having to see Knox’s grief his wife Sunshine, who was set in replace of her had died and she felt guilt for that it was heart breaking. I love that Shade was just there to pick her up and help her. You could understand why they were so close. I found it very interesting also that Shade refused to give Evie his vote when she went to join The Last Riders and didn’t actually approve of her being there at first.

Loved it! Then again I freaking love any book I’ve read by Jamie Begley. Storyline was well written, hot, entertaining and emotional at times. Loved King and Evie’s characters. So what? They aren’t perfect but that’s what made them perfect for each other. King’s an alpha badass used to being in control, almost untouchable but definitely not the father of the year. Evie is considered a whore by a lot of peoples standards. But she hides her broken heart and tragic past behind all the sex she has with the single bikers in their club. Loved their chemistry and connection. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait for more.
