This was a really good book. Hard to put down. You just want to read through the night. I could not wait to get back to it. I highly recommend it.
I truly enjoy reading anout navy seals. It cause tou to rethink how you see them. Their lives always have twist and turns. A great read.
Love all hrr books
Smart and Steamy
Incredibly well written. Suprisingly poetic in the personal introspective of Dex and Emma who are both stong, likable characters. First appearing as soft and broken, Emma proves to be stronger than she believes. Dex, the strong, tough Navy Seal finds that he needs Emma more that he could ever imagine. Romantic but could also be considered literary fiction. Can be read as a standalone but after reading this, who would want to stop at one, it was that great.
Love all of her books!
A romantic enjoyable easy read
Great book everyone should read it!!!
Very hot! Whole series!!
I don’t think his opinion of himself was very realistic but it was still a good book.
I really enjoyed the book
Love the uniqueness of the book.
****1. Claiming Her SEAL (ASSIGNMENT: Caribbean Nights Book 1)
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the steamy post military novel Claiming Her SEAL (ASSIGNMENT: Caribbean Nights Book 1): Dex and Emma by Kat Cantrell and this review was given freely.
A good introduction to the Aqueous Adventure Tours team. Two emotionally broken people struggle with instant attraction while trying to rebuild their lives despite PTSD and prior destructive relationships.
Former Navy SEAL snipper James “Dex” Riley is content to run an island adventure company in the Caribbean with six members of his former SEAL team until resort guest, Boston dental hygienist and near drowning survivor, Emma Richardson selects him for both a vacation fling and to help her overcome her fear of water,.
**
Couldn’t finish it.
Dex and Emma are a roll-coaster of repetitive emotions, angst, sex and nonsense. The chemistry the author fabricated between the two I did not feel it whatsoever. Too instant love and way too much angst disguised as the demolition of barriers. And I’m sorry but to have Emma say “how could I not love a man who handles pigs with such care ?” Is just ridiculous and insult to the reader because it certainly did not make me swoon or cry. Not to mention this book was way too short and rushed.
Very enjoyable read
Could move a little faster. Keeps repeating the same stuff over and over.
The story started off interesting, but began to drag and finally just became a chore to read. H/h needed more characterization. I simply lost interest in the story because I lost interest in them
boring, it was like the writer tried to hard with the characters and it quickly reached the point where I felt like I was reading an erotic novel. I stopped reading after the first 3 paragraphs as I didn’t want to waste any more time it.
This is another one that I just didn’t care to finish. Came close but was a bit too bored with it.
