Lorn Adar has searched more than a lifetime to find his bondmate–the one woman he was born to love and the only woman who can save him from the approaching madness that threatens all unbonded males of his race. When a wormhole opens from his galaxy to Earth and the women who could hold their future, Lorn will do all in his power to not only find his mate, but show her a Universe she never knew … knew existed. Casey Westfall’s normal life changed forever when she finds the sexy leather clad man on her doorstep. One innocent kiss leads to an adventure that will span worlds and Casey will have to choose between the man who is the other half of her soul and never seeing her family or her world again.
To complicate matters Kadothians live in polyamorous family units and Lorn will have to convince his Earth bride to accept not only his love, but the love of his best friend and brothers in arms or risk the chance of losing them to either the madness or the Hive–the race of sociopathic women bent on destroying and enslaving everything in their path, but Casey can’t see loving more than one man as being anything other than a sin. Lorn will have to teach his bride that she was created for both of them just as they were created only for her.
In a Universe where all is possible, the battle to protect not only his people, but his heart rests on the soul of a human woman who must face the unknown and take a leap of faith that could save or destroy them all.

This book Blew me away. The story was fresh and exciting.
I can’t believe I am saying this, but there is too much sex! Some time is spent on world building and character at the beginning, but it soon devolves into an exhaustingly endless round of who’s on top this time. I hope the next book is a little more balanced.
Interesting perspective but good read. Explicit sexual content and some editing misses.
The book is derivative.
Worldbuilding was better than most of these types of stories. Not much of an action storyline which I missed. Of course, I loved the men!
Great read
Lord why the heck did it take me so long to start this series?? It should come with a warning not to read in public, I was left blushing from head to toe. Love this world, even with the hardships and loss they still have hope. Now they’ve reached earth which brings them different challenges but with greater rewards if they can only get their bondmate to let go of all she’s known and trust in the unknown.
With Roxy’s Warriors releasing on Tuesday I decided to go back and read this series again. Casey’s Warriors is the first book and she is Roxy’s younger sister.
I love the world created in this book. It all starts with what looks like an apocalyptic event on earth. Casey gets a call from her sister Roxy who is in the military, telling her to get home with her friends now and stop for gas and additional water once she hits town.
From the Bel’Tan Galaxy this same event could be life saving for the men of Kadothia, they need to find their bondmates. The women meant to be with them forever. If they don’t they will be consumed by the madness that is a constant threat to unbonded males. The wormhole created isn’t completely stable and won’t last long so these men need to get their brides to fall for them as quickly as possible. However the first kiss in which the male will exchange a bit of blood, must be initiated by the woman.
Casey first meets Lorn at the grocery where she works the late shift. The attraction is immediate and Lorn has the advantage of knowing she is his bondmate. Her boss is disrepectful and Lorn scares the bejeezes out of him, then asks Casey to dinner. However he forgets to get her number and manages to get himself maced by her in the parking lot as she leaves work. I laughed way too hard at that.
He does manage to get the required kiss from her starting her transformation that will enable the bonding.
Casey gets really sick with the transformation that adapts her body to not only be with Lorn but also to live on Kadothia. Her friends come over to see how she’s doing and also ogle the guys at the farm next door to her.
An earth woman Casey has a lot of preconceived notions about relationships and there are plenty of adjustments she has to make. One of the hardest is that Lorn’s blood brother, Nast is also expecting to bond with her. The other is she needs to partially bond with others in order to keep them from falling to the madness.
As Casey is adjusting we meet a Matriarch Jaz (Book 2), who is also from earth and is helping with the transitioning. We also get to see a blossoming relationship between Casey’s friend Paige and Commander Trenzent (Book 3).
While the relationship advances rapidly and hotly, there are more than a few bumps in this road. Some family drama on both ends, and a traitor that nearly destroys the trust Casey has for her men. I totally want a zendor.
Melt your kindle heat, with some tear producing backstories and if there is anything in this warning you don’t like then don’t pick it up. This is a galaxy where love in any and all forms is embraced including M/M, M/M/F, M/F, M/F+M/M/M.
She had an entire family on Earth. A loving family, AND friends, who went crazy when she disappeared. Her quick acquiesence to leave all of these people FOREVER for some hot alien was fucking terrible and selfish. Her excuse for disappearing was the worst, and the author needs a hard slap upside the head for not writing this story better. It could have still been done by simply giving the main character NO family or a single discreet friend.
I loved this book.
I like the what if this could happen, had me from page1 until I finished.
Loved the story of the sci-fi adventures and the need for more women to balence the men
I liked the characters. Also read Novella 1.5. Will read more from this author.

~ 4.5 Casey’s Warriors Stars ~
Casey’s Warriors is book one in the Bondmates series by Ann Mayburn. This was my first book with Ann Maybum and most certainly not my last. She captured me from the first to last page. I was sucked into the Alien world.
I don’t read many Erotic Sci-Fi Romances, but this one caught my eye and I had to give it a try. I was blown away and became immersed in the world created. I liked how the author explained the cultures both of Earth and of the Alien race. This helps set everything up and build the characters and world. It shows us the trills the Alien men will have to over come to get an Earth woman to love and accept more than one man as her bonded mates. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and romance. The author did a great job writing the sex scenes which range from M/F, menage, M/M, and more.
Their was one thing that I felt should have been flushed out more. The villain, which it sounds like will continue in the rest of the series, but those that don’t like the book don’t get closer on this. We are left hanging on who they are and what consequences the villain’s actions will or do have.
Their was one thing I didn’t really like so much. It was very predictable that the heroine runs away when she sees something that upsets her. Really lady you are on an alien plant and it’s very obvious you can feel your husbands emotions and they can feel you, so why not open up and talk to them instead of running away. This just made her drop down in my opinion from a character that could actually accept things, to a stupid bimbo. This action leads into her punishment/consequence. I didn’t care for how the author handled this. Casey’s mates punish her with a great orgasms and a very very hot sex. This didn’t work so much for me. I will say it was a hot and very sexy scene, but I felt it was silly to use sex as a means to make the heroine understand. The husbands/wife should talk; with cloths on, explain, and have a mutual understanding, then after that have outstanding fabulous makeup sex. Adding those two scenes together and it made them feel counter productive.
Casey’s Warriors is an erotica romance set in an alternate world with sexy alien men and multiple partners. It’s a steamy romance. I was so captured that I ended up picking up the novella to read and can’t wait for book two to come.
