Dagon is unredeemable in the eyes of the gods he betrayed centuries ago, but now, the Mesopotamian sea god is truly screwed. The answer to his redemption, his Chosen, is finally within reach, but the powers-that-be have stepped up their war against the Earth-bound gods, and hes literally ripped from her arms. Thrust into the Underworld, he is forced to battle demons, and his body is ravaged … beyond endurance. Perhaps its for the best. Intense physical pain might be the only thing that can make him forget her. After a hellish youth, bartender, Holly Abelard is just trying to get through life. At least, thats what she thinks until the guy shes hot for announces hes a god, and shes his mate. Shes barely coming to terms with that revelation when the sexy hunk is sucked into the Underworld, and shes left in the hands of a league of super gods. But Holly isnt giving up on getting Dagon back. That isnt to say she doesnt have her doubts. Had he really sported fangs and scales? What the hell? Or should she say what in Hell, because thats where she’ll have go to find him.

Going Deep
Immortals Book 3
LJ Vickery
Welcome back to the Blue Hills of Quincy Massachusetts, home to our handsome Gods.
Those pesky Gods are back again, this time we get the story of Dagon, the God of the Sea.
Dagon was one of the original 13 Gods who were sent to protect the people way back hundreds of years ago. Dagon was also the one who betrayed the rest of them.
So yeah there isn’t any love for him as far as Marduk and the gang are concerned.
Our wonderful bad guy from the first two books is finally getting what he deserves at the hands of the other Gods.
His only chance at salvation is that his chosen has come along, the woman who completes him. The one who made him whole again and makes him see the error of his ways. Time to repent and finally be happy. That is until he is ripped from her life and sucked down into the underworld.
Holly Abelard is our next future Goddess, (once the Gods mate their chosen, the woman become Goddesses).
Our soon to be Goddess decides there is nothing that will keep her man from her. Nothing and no one, that includes the King of the underworld himself. She’s going to Hell to get him back! Watch out King Nergal, this bad arse woman is coming and he better get out of her way.
This series just keeps getting better.
Sexy, action packed and entertaining as heck! I loved the story and the characters. There was never a dull moment with so much going on. And all the different characters were just fun to read.
Bad guy is now a good now who has found his chosen but keeping her safe has him ending up in the underworld. But Holly already knows that Dagon is the man/God for her and he feels the same about her. What happen when 3 strong women (2 that are more than average) go there to bring him back home. If your going to read the Immortals Series then I reccomend that you do that from the beginning thru all the books in order. Skipping a book means missing out on different Gods finding their chosen and it gets confusing. But I’m loving these books and this author even more. I’m going to find out about all the other Gods and what is going to be coming in their lives.
4 out of 5 stars
Dagon the sea god is totally screwed , he is unredeemable in the eyes of the other gods he has screwed over centuries ago . The only thing that might actually save his butt is his chosen mate . Holly and when he finds her she barely has time to come to terms with his being a god and her being his mate . Until he is sucked into the underworld and she is about to go save his butt . Along with the other gods and her sister and brother they mount a mission to bring Dagon back . Will they have their happily ever after or will the underworld keep them apart .
The characters are very well written and just keep getting better . Dagon I honestly thought that would never be redeemable by any means in the other books he wasn’t such a nice guy . In this book you see a totally different Dagan . He is likable and you actually start to care for him in this book. Trust me ladies you will actually like him and want to well lets say climb him like a spider monkey . Holly well she is a fighter and totally different from her twin sister . Holly well she has fought for everything in her life and now has to fight for her man . She does it quite well and will do anything to get her man / god back . Holly at the beginning kind of bugged me , I don’t know what it was but as I read I really grew to like her and her gumption . She is a tough girl . The rest of the gods are there along with their mates . Hux is back and kicking butt also and having a little love interest going on . I really love Huxley he is such a fun read .
This is the third book in the series and the author takes us on a roller coaster ride . There is so much going on in this book . We have a rescue mission to the under world and then there is romance going on . The characters are well written and you will love them all . There are a couple of parts in the book that you will shed a tear and then there are places you will laugh out loud . I will say this you have to read the books in order or you can get a little lost but they are a fast read and you will love each and every god . Its cool to read about Mesopotamian gods , you usually read about Greek gods , so this is a refreshing look on gods and goddess. So if you want a great series check out IMMORTALS you will not be disappointed.
** spoiler alert ** After going against his fellow Gods in the past and currently, Dagon receives a blow that he doesn’t believe is possible for him when he finds his chosen one. After running from her family and nightmares, Holly landed in Chicago only to be tracked down by the Gods whom are determined to keep her safe. Upon realizing that Holly was his chosen one, Dagon is willing to do ANYTHING to make sure she stays safe even if it means sacrificing himself. When Holly is determined to safe Dagon from the underworld, will she succeed? Will they get their happily ever after?
This series has literally sucked me in and time and again I can’t wait to read the next one. I loved how Dagon starts to show his redeemable side and how he isn’t the bad guy everyone assumes. I loved finding out about the underworld King and Queen and why they are the way they are. Holly was a big character to me from the start of this book, she was willing to stop running and determined to do whatever it took to safe her love. Great story and cannot wait to read the next in the series!
