She won’t go down without a fight…and he’s looking forward to it. Harper left the world famous solo artist, Judd Hart, over a year ago.No matter how much she cared for him, their worlds were miles apart. All they shared was great sex and the ability to drive each other crazy. So why is she at his concert, drooling over the sound of his delicious voice, when she’s spent months convincing herself … when she’s spent months convincing herself they can never work?
Letting Harper walk out on him was the biggest mistake of Judd’s life. And now that he’s sighted her amongst the crowd, he won’t let her run away again. Not even if it means holding her hostage on his tour bus until he can seduce some sense into her. They have a lot to work out, but this time, he will do whatever it takes to convince her they have a future.
Apart, their lives are smooth sailing. Together, it’s pure craziness. But sometimes it’s okay to enjoy the rush of insanity.

Pride and the fear of rejection. That is what drove Judd and Harper apart from each other. Judd is a world famous singer and Harper is the woman he loves. Over a year ago she disappeared from his life without a single word. His pride wouldn’t let him chase after her. Harper made the decision to run away from Judd because she felt like the destruction of their relationship was inevitable. Her fear of rejection has kept her away for more than a year, until her friend’s recent heartbreak lands her back in the world she’s escaped from. Will the mistakes from the past dictate Judd and Harper’s future or will they finally put aside their own insecurities to fight for their happily ever after? Eden Summers has a way of drawing you into the lives of her characters. She never disappoints!
Rush of Insanity is a short read but leaves you with that rush of exhilaration that you get when you attend a rock concert. Judd and Harper have the chemistry and connection that only happens once in a lifetime but when the rush that person brings you scares you to the point you are going insane, is it time to walk away for once and for all. Their story is a second chance romance and one that is full of angst and drama. When Judd finds the girl that is his home who walked away from him with no explanation in the audience at his latest concert he has decided he will do anything and everything to make sure she does not walk away again. It will take facing their fears and finally expressing them to each other to end the irrationality that surrounds them. This is my first book of Eden Summers and will not be my last. My only negative would be that I wanted an epilogue but that could be me just being greedy and wanting more.
Quick, short and intense! Harper is clearly insecure about who she is, trying to live up to an image she cultivated when she was with Judd before, thinking that’s what had attracted him to her. She feels her real personality is miles apart from what he sees in her and fears his rejection.
Judd has no idea why Harper walked out on him over a year ago and can’t believe she did. He’s not been the same since. He wants her back in his life.
I think what struck me most about this story was how neither one of them showed their true self to one another. And yet, they clearly saw enough to want a relationship in the beginning…but it is precisely that “not being real” to each other that makes Harper believe it can’t last and therefore walks.
Fast forward to Judd finding Harper again. Will Judd see the real Harper to understanding why she left before? Will Harper be real with Judd, allowing him to truly see her? And will Judd do the same?
I was hoping for a little longer story to allow for deeper character building, to discover more from their past to relate to why they are the way they are, etc. (we only get a brief glimpse of this with Harper), however, it was still an enjoyable, quick story!
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book, however, this is my honest opinion.
