They’ve spent their lives pushing each other away, but what will happen when they need each other most? Anita Martin doesn’t expect much from life. Growing up on the street, bouncing from one foster home to another, she learned to rely only on herself. Even after she finally found a loving family to take her in, she was still an outsider-something Abraham, one of the family’s older sons, never … sons, never let her forget.
Abraham Evans doesn’t know how Ani always manages to get under his skin, only that’s she’s been doing it since they were teens. She is-and always has been-undeniably gorgeous. But he’s never met anyone as pissed off at the world as Ani.
For fifteen years, Ani and Bram have agreed on exactly one thing: they can’t stand each other-until one night when their anger gives way to passion. Yet even as Ani and Bram begin to secretly seek comfort in one another’s arms, they remain emotionally worlds apart. When Ani’s life takes a dramatic turn and she realizes she needs more than Bram can give, their fragile, no-strings relationship unravels. One way or another, Ani is determined to survive. But when Bram finally admits his true feelings, he may discover Ani has moved on without him . . .

I remember reading the first book and liking it, but my opinion about it was very short so I will reread!
What I Do remember is loving the secondary characters. Shane and Katie’s families were the best.
Ani and Bram come from that context and their enemies-to-lovers dynamic is amazing. They also discover pretty quickly how good they are together but, a sudden twist of faith makes it possible for Ani to get what she was desiring the most in life after believing it was at lost.
Their families are the best and Henry’s story sounds like my next book
Book two in the Fostering Love series brings us Bram and Ani’s story. After reading Unbreak My Heart and getting a glimpse of Ani and Bram there were definite clues that something a little more was there with the tow despite having grown up as foster siblings. Well we get a lot more of a glimpse right off the bat in Change of Heart. While not as emotionally charged as the first book in the series this one definitely has its moments. You also have that whole fall in love with the grumpy man thing that you had with Shane. I mean I loved Bram with all his alpha protective manliness but it was awesome to see such a softer side of him, the side we only caught just a little of with Kate. I loved getting to know all the characters even better in this book and cannot wait to continue the series.
Absolutely 5 Change My Heart Stars! A must read and a great addition to this series.
Life has let Anita Martin down more times than she can count, so her faith in life and others has always been lacking, she has never really let herself get attached to anyone because the fear of them walking away has always been great. Being abandoned as a child and spending time in multiple foster homes she never really had the chance to know love, nor feel it, she’s not even sure she’d be able to recognize it if it happened in front of her. She found some semblance of it with the last family she was placed with, and lived with for years, but there was one person who wasn’t so happy about her being there, and through the years he has made his thoughts known. Bram has always treated her differently, generally he’s down right rude to her, but one night when he lets his guard down she finds a way in, and something between them shifts…
From the moment Abraham Evans met Anita Martin, there was a un-explainable irritation there, she pushed his buttons like no one else ever had, something about her just rubbed him the wrong way. As they grew older, it turned into a secret attraction to her, but anytime he spoke to her he was met with attitude and always pushed away. He just couldn’t win with her, then one night she walked into his domain and everything changed…
From the instant I started this one I knew I better get comfortable, because it was going to be a long night of addictive reading ahead, and boy oh boy was it worth every minute of lost sleep!! This story seeped into me, and took possession of my heart and mind and had me flying through the pages as fast as I could swipe them, it was powerful, profound, heart-wrenching, breathtakingly beautiful, and I loved every single minute of it! Ms. Jacquelyn has been a true revelation for me, her books are the kind of books that you devour in one sitting and treasure long after the last page is turned, each one I’ve read has inspired me, hit me deep and reaffirmed my belief in happy endings!! If there is one book you pick up this year, please make it one of her books, you will not be disappointed!!
