Slay by Nina Levine was absolute PERFECTION!!! This book was my favorite of the series. I could not put this book down. Loved every aspect of this book. It had suspense, romance, and of course downright raw, rough, and sexy scenes. ~ Four Chicks Flipping Pages Blog

So intense!
4,5 stars.
I’m crazy about this series and its characters. It’s amazing and addicting and this book wasn’t different.
Blade and Layla were so strong and resilient. But they also showed such a deep vulnerability that it was heartbreaking to watch.
They were constantly fighting their own demons and warring battles for their loved ones. This overwhelming way of living their lives was bound to take its toll on them one way or another.
But the good thing is that they found each other to share their burdens. And they had a lot.
It was so beautiful to watch how two strong people became partners and started trusting each other despite being so used to solving everything and relying only on themselves.
And the cherry on top: they were really, really sexy.
I’m addicted to this series.
How did I get to the end of this series before realising I had missed Blade’s book?!!! FFS!!!
And oh my sweet jesus, what a story!! Blade really has been through some shit, believing he doesn’t deserve any light in his darkness and then he meets Layla. Lord, that woman is freaking amazing and kickass. They clash at first as she isn’t used to having someone help her, especially a man. But their connection is inexplicable.
And my heart just exploded! But come on, this is Storm!! No plain sailing here!!!
What a fantastic read!!!
Oh Blade!!! What to say about Blade…he is hot and will slay away your problems while avoiding his own. But when trouble finds its way to where he likes to decompress at the end of the day, he finds someone that may be worth not only fighting for but opening up to as well.
Layla has her fair share of past demons but is trying to run her bar while staying a float. Some trouble finds its way into her bar but luckily for her Blade is there and steps in.
These two together burn up these pages of this book. Go read it for details, no spoilers here. You won’t be disappointed, it’s really that great!
With so many books to read it has taken me time to come back to Storm. I am so glad I did. Blade is everything he needed to be! Strong, resilient, and full of revenge. He defines the saying, ” One too many skeletons in the closet.” For someone who has only known heartache, he is suprisingly warm when dealing with the women in his life. Layla is the perfect woman for him. Strong, sassy, and full of kindness, she is the epitome of dealing with someone who has trauma. I love the way Blade and Layla fit together. I recommend this book
Oh my goodness I really wish I could give more than a 5 star rating on books. This would most definitely be one of those books! I have been waiting for Blade’s book since he was introduced earlier in the series. ( I knew Nina wouldn’t leave him out of finding his woman 😉 )
Slay was another great addition to the Storm MC series!!!
My heart broke for Blade when reading through all the problems he had gone through to get where he is now. Having a mom who most consider “weak”, a dead beat dad who is never around, but when he is he beats them, and then to lose his fiance the way he did. Let’s just say Blade never had it easy in life. However, he never let that stop him from making plans and getting him to where he is now. I enjoyed watching him open himself up to Layla and show his true self and not have who he was.
Layla is just one badass bitch and knows what it’s like to come from a house where money seems more important than love. She went from having anything her heart desires to living on the streets and struggling to pay bills at her bar. She doesn’t take s*** from anybody and she’s the type of woman you either love or hate her ( a take it or leave kinda gal)! She accepted Blade, or Donovan as she calls him. for who he was and never tried to change him. She was there to listen to him and never judged the actions he took to protect those he cares about.
Nina has successfully made me laugh, get mad, and tear up all at once during this book (and it’s quite hard to make me tear up). Blade’s relationship with my mom also filled my heart with so much love. Even after everything Marcus put them through he still tries to help her move on from him and get herself out from under Marcus’ false promises.
I can’t wait for Griff’s book! I always knew he wouldn’t screw the boys over and was trying to do what was best to help them and the club out!
One of my favorite biker books ever! Loved it! Storyline was well written, intriguing, action packed, and so effing hot. The sex scenes between Blade and Layla were scorching! Holy hell! Blade is a raw, panty dropping hot, bada** biker who has been thru hell. He is bossy but at the same time sweet and caring. Layla is a strong, loyal, sexy woman who doesn’t let her past define her. I thought she was the perfect woman to pull Blade out of his darkness. She accepted him for the man he was and didn’t try to change him. Would recommend as a must read book!
Blade has ghosts and a rough childhood growing up. Losing someone he loved has put him in a bad place. Then he meets Layla and she seems to calm him somewhat. There is a lot action, steamy love scenes and determination.
I will admit I wasn’t sure I would like Slay as I really didn’t think I liked Blade in the previous books. I am so glad I got the chance to know and understand him better. Even though I knew about Ashley I was glad to get Blades struggles in Slay. Layla grew up in a totally different world than Blade did but her past was not all rosy either. Layla left her family at 18 and has taken care of herself and her cousin ever since. She is very independent and not looking for a man to make her life better.
Nina does a great job of building on all the characters and giving them depth with each new book in the series. I can’t stop reading and have jumped right into the next book. I recommend this book if you want HOT, sexy, bossy men and the women that tame them.
I’ve read up to Sassy christmas and so far I absolutely love this series
This series is awesome, really well written has great cast of characters!!
