A. The paperbacks are about 300 pages, and the audiobooks are 8 to 10 hours.
Q. Are these books dark and depressing, or upbeat?

This is a fun, extremely creative book. I love the author’s humor and out of the blue responses! Really creative with her words, ideas and dialogue. I’m usually frustrated when i don’t know what is going on (mystery), but this author made the journey fun. This book was at the end of Girl in the Shadows (which I gave a poor review), but this book was totally different. I’m glad it was tacked on because I don’t think I would have read another one by this author because of the Girl in the Shadows. Now I’m excited to read the second in the series. I rarely give 5 stars, but this one hit all the marks.
I rarely read books with witches, but this series is good. I read the series of 5 and will buy 6 when it comes out.
