Foster made a promise in his hospital bed when his leg was taken from him that he’d get back to one hundred percent. Leg or no leg, he’d get back on the SWAT team if it killed him.
And he does get back. But he has a problem.
He can’t let go of the past.
The anger burns deep, making his emotions volatile at the best of times.
Then he meets Blake with her haughty attitude and inability to … haughty attitude and inability to distinguish the difference between a pocket knife and a sword.
Little by little, she makes him whole again, one bad joke at a time.
She doesn’t see the revenge in his eyes, though. Doesn’t see the rage burning deep.
Rage so pure and all encompassing, that he knows it’ll explode.
It’s just a matter of time.
What Foster doesn’t realize, though, is that the love that Blake has for him is enough to fight his demons, one kiss at a time.
Foster never stood a chance.

Foster is one that i feel is more than deserving of a HEA. and the moment that Blake is introduced she is someone that i felt is the perfect fit for Foster. shes not going to be someone that is going to let him get away with his brooding self, she is going to call him on his shit.
i have enjoyed each and every one of the books in this series and can’t wait to read more. i loved how previous characters were seen again, doing what they do best. its the little things like that that makes me love all the books that have lead up to this one.
I don’t know about you but I just love Blake. She is funny, speaks her mind and living her best life since her divorce.
When Foster and Blake meet there is that spark between them but Blake’s ex husband doesn’t like that so he tries to keep them apart by saying things to Foster about her. But in the end some stuff happens to put these two together 24/7 and they can’t avoid their feelings for one another now.
Their story made me laugh so much but there were also some tears as well but it was still a great story. You have to go read it, you won’t be disappointed.
Foster and Blake do not start off on the right foot. In true LLV style I was consumed by the emotional roller coaster ride we are taken on. I’m not afraid to say that I shed some tears, but at the same time chuckled through out. I adored this story.
Charlie Foxtrot by Lani Lynn Vale is the fifth book in her KPD Motorcycle Patrol series first which takes place further along the timeline than this series, HOWEVER, this series is on a roll! I have come to expect sensational plot twists, the steamiest of sexy times, and the kind of insta-love that leaves you panting and I was NOT disappointed with Foster and Blake’s story.
Foster is getting used to being back on the force as a below the knee amputee and Blake is the new dispatcher at the Kilgore Police Department. With a run in or two between these two characters the sparks are flying high and the fact that Blake is oblivious to Foster’s issues about his leg and doesn’t walk on eggshells around him because of it makes him take a shine to her even with the sparring back and forth. The chemistry is high and the shenanigans and danger is about as dangerous as you can expect from a lani Lynn Vale book. People are evil and the good guys, our KPD SWAT guys have to get the job done and keep their families safe. Loved it! Enjoy!
This one is about Foster and Blake. Blake doesn’t like Foster from the very beginning. He has a bad attitude because of what happened to him. His life is changed doing what he does best saving people.
He goes around giving people tickets left and right. He gave Blake’s grandfather one and she comes to the police station to do something about it. But once she meets him things start to change.
Blake ends up going to work for the police department as a dispatcher. So she in a way works with Foster. But for some reason Foster doesn’t want anything to do with her and Blake doesn’t understand why. He keeps people at a distance and does his job. But Blake entered his life like a Hurricane and changed everything for him. But can Blake see beyond his disability? I absolutely loved Blake and how she reacts when it comes to Foster. She doesn’t overreact, judge or stare. She wants to understand and be there for him.
Chemistry between these two is off the charts hot. I absolutely loved the banter and funny moments these two share with each other. This was a storyline about not being perfect but still being loved. An absolute page turner. A great addition to this series
Charlie Foxtrot even the second time around is still one of my favourites from this series. Foster is a man adapting to change and Blake is a woman trying to move forward. Two people who have a connection that will light the sky up like an electrical storm, weather the danger that surrounds Blake at every turn as they find safety, happiness and love in each other’s arms. An action packed romance that will have you on the edge of your seat as you try to work out who is coming for them and why they are. A witty, drama filled romance that is sizzling hot and overflowing with passion. A guaranteed winner because the Spurlock brothers are all heart stealers.
Foster and Blake’s story was simply amazing. I cried a little bit but that’s all I’m gonna say about it. You’ll have to read it to find out why.
Foster Lager and Blake Boston… You guys are totally a Lani Lynn Vale power couple and were SO worth the blood-shot eyes I sported today!
Lobster corralling, EPIC ugly cries, a dirty-talking Macaw named Boris, a bad-a** beat down by grandpa, those gimme-more-please Alpha sex scenes and a truckload of our favorite Lani Lynn Vale characters… Charlie Foxtrot had it all and more!
Foster… I had a huge lady boner for this man. Seriously. He started off with such a dark cloud hanging over his head; all bitter, grouchy and unpleasant to be around but it was understandable, considering what happened in his past. (He did just lose half a leg when some crazy b**** hit and pinned him to a mailbox with her car only a year earlier.) When he turned that craptastic funk around… well, that’s when I thanked the Gods again for creating another Spurlock brother! I very much admired his go-get’em attitude, his determination and ABSOLUTELY adored it when he let Blake into his head and his heart. He loved hard and true (in and out of the bedroom) and I was thrilled to bits that he found everlasting love with such a wonderfully feisty woman.
Blake… It’s amazing how much I felt for this woman. Her “wh*re moans” had me laughing, her ex-husband and his “baggage” made me want to break out my ninja ball-busting moves, anything involving her dad had me wanting to buy stock in Kleenex and her pink rubber ring made me jump up and down for joy. Blake was beautiful, funny, intelligent and sassy. I was pleased as punch that she managed to help pull Foster’s head out of his a**! 🙂
I imagined a bit more drama where Alice was concerned or maybe even a surprise break out of the mental institution from ol’ Crazy B**** (lady who pinned Foster with her car) but am happy that none of that came to fruition! Phew!! It’s not like there wasn’t enough drama & tears in this one!
CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on the next book in the SWAT series, Kill Shot! I can see the Bennett and Lennox fireworks lighting up the sky already!!
This is my 3rd time reading this. And I still can’t get enough of any of these men. I can’t believe that I never posted my review for Charlie Foxtrot my first time reading this. Somehow I skipped that part.
This is Foster’s story. And what a story it is.
If you read the previous book, you know what happened to Foster. This book is about a year after the amputation. He’s made it back to the SWAT team, but he’s changed. He’s closed off now.
The first meeting between him and Blake was awesome. I can’t believe she not only yelled at him, but bumped him. I have to say that I love her grandpa!
Now, I will warn you. You will need a few tissues throughout this book. I cried a few times while reading. Even though this is my 3rd time reading and I knew what was going to happen. It still gets to me!
“I like big…batons…and I cannot lie. – Mercy’s secret thoughts.
FOSTER!!!! There is just something about the Spurlock boys, that makes you wanna read about them over and over again.
Once again, I suggest that you read the previous books, as you will be lost and confused otherwise.
Foster, I just want to keep saying his name. I loved Miller’s story, but there was just something about Foster’s that….. makes me want more of him and Blake.
Foster, a former navy seal turned SWAT officer, has changed from the fun loving guy to a grumpy gus. But as with the Spurlock boys, nothing stops these alpha males from overcoming any obstacle in their way, and Foster, having lost a limb, not overseas like he would have thought, but by saving his sister-in-laws life, has not let that stop him.
Blake was freaking amazing. From her loser ex-husband, to her mom always throwing him in her face, she has not let that get her down. She’s sad at times, yes, but seriously who wouldn’t be.
The story of Blake and Foster took twists and turns, and had a couple moments of O-M-FREAKING-G! Not giving you any spoilers. My only peeve was in Miller’s book, there was a mention of Foster possibly having a child out there, so I thought we would hear about that but we didn’t 🙁
As usual Lani Lynn Vale spins a story that has you a.) not putting the book down b.) forgetting that you have children, until they scare the pee out of you asking for a drink, c.) realizing, holy crap my blog buddy was trying to get a hold of me and I sooo didn’t hear the phone LMAO.
I am always in awe of how she can spin a story, she never fails to make me sigh, gasp, pant, and cry. I give this 5 stars.
Foster has been bitter since he lost his leg, he doesn’t blame anyone than the crazy woman who made him lose it. However, he is tired of being coddled and treated like he is made of glass. The only woman who treats him as a person is Blake who is busy chewing him out. Foster is intrigued and when Blake finds her house broken into, Foster is there to help her out. The attraction is undeniable and when it turns to something more, Foster will do everything to protect the woman who has stole his heart.
Loved this one, definitely a favorite. Foster I liked, he was an unusual hero and Blake was a hoot. One of the best series out there, each book is unique and entertaining.
LOVED!
Love Foster. Love this series. the SWAT series is amazing.
