Upgraded is the third book in the Building A Hero series by Tasha Black. Cordelia Cross is in love with Westley Worthington but she is determined to keep her distance. She thinks she knows what kind of man Westley is and she does not want her heart broken. She does everything in her power to stay away from Westley even quit her job and work for Westley’s old friend. Westley is about to lose everything that matters to him, his friends, his company, his wealth and even his life. Will Westley and Cordelia be able to put there preconceived ideas about the other aside long enough to talk to each other and find out how the other person feels or will they go their separate ways without a second thought? I love this book, it’s a great read with amazing characters. You watch the characters grow which each book.
Warning: this is book 3 of a trilogy. For the complete (and glorious) tale you WILL WANT to read all three books. It is a romance with paranormal elements. It is a page turner with undertones of sinister music in the subconscious. I found myself muttering “don’t do it” and wanting to reach within the pages to smack somebody upside the head. And the finale — wow. Note: do not skip to the end. Savor the building of the story. Bravo !! Bravo!!

At last…..I was eager to read this and then wanted it to never end. Wes has been upgraded, his accident helped him to discover himself and open his heart to really see what’s going on in the world outside his circle & life of abundance. His transformation is not only on the outside but it goes deep down into his heart, his love for Cordelia and her sister has no boundaries.
Cordelia was never in an accident but she has been upgraded too, she’s always been very smart but lacked the confidence to be bold enough to take charge of her intelligence, Wes saw that in her and helped draw that out.
They both have their own insecurities about each other, this time around though Wes is a little….. tired of being…. frustrated, lol. Such a heartfelt plot, my emotions and shock meter were all over the place this time around. Their journey is not easy and sometime I was even doubtful that it would be successful, but it is soooo well written. Great series, I loved reading every drama-filled, action-packed page, it was so gripping that I couldn’t put it down. This is definitely a series that will draw you in and pull you back to reread when you have a need to read something with depth, excitement, intrigue and love without bounds.
The finale is bittersweet for me because although Wes & Cordelia got on my last nerve at times, I am very happy for them yet I will miss their entertaining shenanigans.
This is the third book in the Building a Hero Series. This story continues where the second book ended. Like the first books in the Series, the storyline is fast-paced, action packed, suspenseful, with some funny scenes. I love the conclusion of the Cordelia and West’s story. The secondary characters are also very interesting. The ending is perfect! I love this book and this Series! The narration is well done. Mason Lloyd has a great voice, that suits perfectly the story. I enjoyed my listening! I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
