Usually a wild swingers club is the last place Grace Jennings would spend a Friday night. And she certainly wouldn’t invite rough around the edges tattoo artist, Dalton McDermott, as her date. But thanks to a PI job she’s taken on, she needs the perfect bad boy to go undercover with. Just not under those covers. Not that she isn’t tempted. Dalton is one hot package of scrumptious sin. He’s also … He’s also an arrogant, dirty-tongued devil who’s far too skilled at getting beneath her skin. Still, for the sake of her career, she’ll play nice. All while keeping her panties firmly in place.
The sassy and mouthy Grace is precisely not the type of woman Dalton goes for. So why in the hell does she make him sweat like no other? There’s only one solution to solving a problem like Grace—screw her out of his system and get the hell out of Dodge. But the deeper the two of them delve into the erotic charade they’ve created, the tougher the prospect of walking away becomes.
For two people who come from opposite worlds, love shouldn’t be on the radar. So why does faking it suddenly feel all too real?

Bad Boys Do It Better is book two in the Inked & Kinked series by Jodi Redford. This can be read as a stand alone. I haven’t read the first book in the series which is called Naughty Girls Do.
Two years ago Grace Jennings nearly lost her dad to cancer. At the same time she got some shocking news that pretty much shook her to her core. Grace is a private investigator whose soul purpose is to catch cheaters. Her latest case is a husband who is sure his wife is attending swingers parties. Grace needs to attend one of these events to see if the person she is investigating is there but can’t go without a date. The only person she can think of to ask is the last person she really wants to spend time with, bad boy tattoo artist, Dalton McDermott. Dalton is way too good looking and she’s worried her hormones won’t be able to behave when he’s around. She is not interested in bad boys. But she needs a partner to solve this case and he’s all she’s got!
Dalton McDermott loves his job as a tattoo artist. Dalton’s best friend and business partner, Ash is getting married to Grace’s best friend, Lexie. Even though he’s happy for his friends, being stuck with one person for the rest of his life does not interest him. No one could be more shocked than he was when Grace asked him for a favor. Even more shocking to him was his reaction to her. More like his obsession with her. She was not his type at all. But he could think of nothing else but her. Maybe the answer is to help her with her little project and at the same time, hook up with her and get her out of his system. At least, that’s what he thought would happen.
“This wasn’t supposed to be happening. This was only sex and fun. He wasn’t ready to fall head over heels for anybody, much less Grace.”
It doesn’t take long for Dalton to get Grace right where he wants her, and I’ll warn you that these two together are hot, hot, hot! But Dalton’s plan backfires. Instead of getting her out of his system, she gets in deeper.
“Just being around him stoked the wild, carefree side of her that had been missing for way too long.”
At the same time, other things in Grace’s life, things that she had tried to bury so she wouldn’t have to deal with them, finally come to the surface and force her to face them.
“Dalton had this annoying habit of burrowing deeper and deeper beneath her skin.”
I really enjoyed this book. I especially loved Dalton. He was so adorable. And when he fell, he fell hard. As I said earlier, these two are hot! Their chemistry burned up the pages. Dalton is a tattoo artist and he found a new and very surprising use for one of the tools in his shop! I’ll just let you find out more about that when you read the book.
This was sexy and fun and sweet and I really enjoyed it. It’s one of those feel good books that just brightens up your day.
