A definite page turner. Very sweet couple. But they don’t really become a couple for most the book.

Rum and Raindrops is book 2 in the Blueberry Springs series by Jean Oram and another cute read.
Jen and Rob meet when he comes to Blueberry Springs to investigate an accidental fire which she may have set but what happens next in this cute, quick read will fill you with laughs, misunderstandings, lots of sparks, tension and hopefully finding their HEA!!
I really liked this book with the investigator angle. All of the outdoors time and the skittish tendencies. It made for a great read.
This one had a lot going for it. The main characters were great—realistically flawed, encouraged by true friends to “make friends with the monsters under the bed.” (Love that line!) The secondary characters were fun, too.
Jen’s fight or flight response is well honed towards flight and has been since she was sixteen. When she becomes the primary suspect in a forest fire she wants to run again but resists temptation. Her life is further complicated by falling for the fire investigator and having her past come back to haunt her. A well written small town romance.
Story was too contrived…characters were likable but the storyline unimpressive.
Great read. Fun book
loved it.
Cute Good reading
Love the whole series. The characters are so believable.
3.5 stars
This is an easy to read small town story. Everyone sticks together and supports one another. Jen and Rob’s relationship was going to be an uphill battle from the beginning as he was there to investigate her. Good to see Jen putting her past behind her.
The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the editing of this book. There are spelling mistakes and incorrect grammar throughout.
A fire investigator is suspicious of guide starting a forest fire. After another fire, he loses his job from involvement with guide.
Each having hurtful pasts, it takes a while to be able to trust their love.
not my kind of book.
Loved it as kept me smiling
The juxtaposition of a fire investigator and a nature guide who isn’t quite sure whether she started a large forest fire or not made for some interesting tension in this book. Character developmant is first rate and the plotting rounds out a satisfying read.
This book kept me in suspense from beginning to end. I could not put it down. The characters, location and what they went through to get at the truth was like being right there with them.
I have read other books by this author, but, this one was realy slow to start and so I put it down
I love Blueberry Springs, it is filled with wonderful characters. Jen and Rob’s story is sweet, fun and full of misadventures. Jen is actually quite accident prone for a nature guide. It is good that she faces the people from her past and is able to move on to her future. I look forward to the rest of the Blueberry Springs series.
