When he finally arrives, he’s not alone; there’s a stunning red-haired assassin with him, and they haven’t come to rescue her, but to complete the Beast’s orders to execute her.
Because of mature language and explicit situations, Theta Waves is not recommended for readers under 18
What Amazon customers are saying about Theta Waves
Debra Martin: Two Ends of the Pen: “…a post-apocalyptic world that is so real, it’ll make you cringe.”
Amazon Customer review: “So thought provoking that I think about it even after I finished it.”
A NOTE ABOUT THE SERIES: Most readers love or hate the Theta Waves trilogy. This end of the world romance has a strong female lead, fantasy with a a tortured hero romance interest mixed in with the new adult dystopian romance, and fallen angels who take part in the post apocalypse. If you like abduction romance, romantic suspense, and paranormal romance you might like it. If you’re easily offended, Thea suggests you bypass this end of the world series and try the Witches of Etlantium
Come along on a different kind of womens adventure story where new adult romance, angst, and action blend with a strong female lead, paranormal romance, and warrior women.
Theta Waves is an intriguing mix of genres: new adult dystopian romance series set in a dark and gritty post apocalyptic world. There are kickass heroines and heroes as well as a variety of other elements in each novella, including fallen angels, and demons of biblical proportions spread within the futuristic paranormal romance adventure. Readers who like to blend fantasy, adventure, and dark romance in their urban fantasy series might find it a good fit. Start with part one of a series that explores what might be after the end of the world.
The Theta Waves series is a dark and seedy romp through post apocalyptic earth. If you like your women dystopian, romance a bit steamy and somewhat sacrilegious, and your urban fantasy gritty this series just might scratch an itch.
Theta is back and seems to be in more trouble. An interesting read as she seems to be in even more danger then before. Had to keep reading once I started to see how it would end, if she would escape, and how she would survive. Definitely still a dystopian feel and sometimes on the darker side but still a good read that made me think and entertained me.
Action packed, heart racing, thrilling adventure filled with dangerous and engaging charters, witty dialog, emotional twists and exciting turns. An edge of your seat, emotionally thrilling adventure from beginning to end.
Theta is back, with all her flaws, for another round. Still battling addictions and whatever comes her way. She is such a great and engaging character, with plenty of depth and heart. I love the setting and some of the darkness surrounding it. Between the two combined makes this a most riveting read.

Theda is a psychic. She can show clients their past lives with a bit of blood. Just to be able to pay for a hit of Godspit. Theda really wants to forget how the world is now after Armageddon. When she is captured by The Beast who goes by John, he places her nude on the rack, an instrument of torture, while she is beaten and more just so she will tell The Beast what his son, Henrik saw when she showed him his past lives. But Theda will not tell. She promised Henrik. No matter how much she is tortured, Theda does not say a word. this story is fast-paced and full of blood and guts but it ends in a cliffhanger. Highly recommended.

Our heroine survived one disaster (of literal Bibical proportions) only to be thrown into a possibly worse situation.
This is book two of the series. It works pretty well as a standalone, but you will be missing some of the backstory. This is one that might be better from the beginning.
This is a paranormal romance story with a dystopian setting (post apocalypse) and some dark themes. The story is well written, but not necessarily easy to read due to the setting and themes. The characters are well developed and they are what drew my into the story. I particularly like our heroine how has her issues, but is working hard to deal with them which is all we can ask for. Once you get into the story, I found it very engaging and hard to put down. Overall, it was an enjoyable read and I look forward to seeing what happens to our heroine.

Interesting ideas and an entertaining read. I don’t care for the characters, but the overall story is a fun read. Love dystopian/post-apocalyptic type of stories, so that aspect is cool; not into the gritty vibe to the story, but there’s some entertainment value. Interesting magical aspects as well. I like Theta’s tenacity and will to survive; not a fan of her vices. Lots of danger to contend with!
This is book two of the Theta Waves series and contains episodes 4-6. The main character is a woman called Theda, who has survived the apocalypse and became addicted to Godspit, after losing her home and absolutely everything else. She saw people she knew, who were some of the worst of the worst, somehow ascend to a better place, while she and so many others were left behind to suffer. After everything that happened, religion was finished and anyone who made any mention of it, they were accused of religion mongering and would be re-educated or killed. The world had been left in a state of turmoil with everything left at its most primal. One way Theda managed to earn enough for her next fix, was to allow people to see a vision of their past lives, sometimes just a view of one previous life. This was something she could do with just some blood from the person and would leave the punter euphoric. One such client was named Henrik and what she showed him seemed to be really important to him and he tried to ensure she would never repeat what he had revealed to him, to anyone at all! She made the promise, but had no idea what was so important. Three years later she still hadn’t told anyone, even though she had been taken by the Beast, tortured and so much more. She would have gladly died, which would have been less painful, but was finally rescued by the Pale Rider, one of the Horsemen, called Ezekiel, from the Beast’s torture chamber. She thought he had killed the Beast, but apparently even he was under the control of the Beast and instead had to do what he was told, to save someone close to him.
He had made a bargain for her life and safety, but words, if not used carefully, leave a lot of wriggle room for those who want it, to twist the words to whatever suits themselves! She ends up waking up in what she believes is a hospital, and instead of having been saved from being martyrdom, she is now in one of the Beast’s re-education sanatoriums and will soon wish she was dead! She isn’t sure that she can endure this latest situation, especially as she will have to do so without any Godspit, which would mask anything happening to her. She believes Ezekiel knows nothing of what has happened to her and the orderlies and doctors at the institute are not kind to anyone they believe to be a religion mongerer and her case has been escalated to the most extreme methods available. The Beast still wants to know what she showed his son Henrik in her vision and she will need to be alive and able to talk, for that to happen. Shame the lines are obviously crossed between the parties. The man she loves has been ordered to kill her and it seems this time she may have to die to keep the secret she has no idea the importance of. A disturbing look at what the absence of religion can do to a society and also what addiction can do, as others all act out their most base fantasies. It took me a while to get into the story and figure out what had happened, but this was mainly because I had not had the chance to read the first book. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
