I thought the storyline was good. I went back and forth with whether I thought the story could have been longer. This story began the explanations for the marriage practices of the Draig. Sadie’s reaction to what is happening was quite sedate. Im not certain most people would take it so well. There were some typos that auto correct wouldn’t catch. Otherwise, I thought the story was entertaining. It was a quick read and it didn’t drag. 3.5 stars

Mischievous Prince is a must-read entry in the Captured by a Dragon-Shifter series – both for readers of this spin-off series, and for readers of the initial Dragon Lords series set later in the planet’s future. The romance is delightful, with an intense focus on the characters and their particular trials, but it also twists from the setting of the last couple of books, bringing our hero and heroine to Qurilixen and that world’s various customs and politics. Things are progressing in the series’ drama about the use of the portal, we get glimpses of heroes and heroines from previous books, and Pillow has tucked in some truly awesome Easter-egg-type details for series readers. Overall, it’s a book that’s important for the development of the series – and world – as a whole, but even so, we never lose sight of what’s going on between Finn and Sadie along the way, or about their journey to their HEA. Well-characterized and stuffed with fun world-building tidbits, Mischievous Prince is a wonderful addition to the series, and a delightful romance. I would definitely suggest that series readers would get the most out of this book – and suggest that you cannot go wrong with Pillow’s Qurilixen books!

This is book 5 of the Captured by a Dragon-Shifter Qurilixen World Series. I love this particular series set in the Qurilixen world. Prince Finn sneaks through a portal to Earth to find a bride. He intended to stay on Earth in order to keep the portal open but gets thrown back together with food blogger, Sadie Harcourt. All hell breaks loose when Finn takes Sadie as his bride. Can the dragon Lord and the human woman find true love amid the dangers that unfold. Brilliantly written and Michelle keeps the pace going from the start.

Interesting alien romance scenario with a strong female lead! Finn’s alien race needs to find mates or they may go extinct, so Finn and his friend, Ivar, take it upon themselves to go through a portal to find mates. There’s a bit of an argument between the friends that causes Finn and human, Sadie, to go back through the portal to Finn’s home world. Sadie is in for some surprising things! She handles things as well as she possibly could, which I appreciate a character with some common sense. Finn and Sadie become mates, which wasn’t in either of their plans, but the circumstances call for it. Luckily, there is a connection between them; a steamy sweet one! They are a good match for each other. There’s also a bit of intrigue and cool alien aspects. Entertaining read!
Fun read with wonderful characters, from the strong Sophie to Finn who didn’t execute his plan the best but all is well that ends well. I received a copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Oh my gosh i absolutely loved this book!
It was so fun reading this book!
First of all so many things about this world and its customs was explained in this book!
I do love reading the beginning of stories and how their worlds came to be as they are.
Can’t wait to see what comes next!
This author writes amazing books. Then again I love anything that has dragons and dragon shifters because they are my favorite shifter types. This is a good book. I liked the characters.
Good display of how manipulation of the masses can cause great impacts. Also introduced some of the framework for the traditions that take place in other connected series.
This was another simply splendid read that held my attention from start to finish
A simply wonderful read I thoroughly enjoyed every single chapter of this book and the characters and the actual plot which as usual was so well written, the characters are simply stunning and their actual interaction with each other was simply stunning and once started made it impossible to put the book down until I reached the final page.
Finn is a little reckless but he has the health and the welfare of his people at the center of his heart and mind and will do whatever it takes to help as many of them as is humanly possible. He decides that he needs a bride and goes to earth and recovers one for himself returning with her to his people in the hope they will find her as acceptable as he has.
Sadie is not quite so convinced about being his bride and all that this in tails but as she is already through the portal there is not a lot, she can do about it now, however she is no sheep and will make any displeasure known.
Another wonderful read you will be totally captivated by this book and will have to read it in one sitting.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
I can understand why people love the Qurilixen series; Lords, Princes, Kings, Brides, Pirates, etc., by author Michelle M. Pillow. I’ve started reading arc copies of the 1st books in the different Qurilixen series, however, Mischievous Prince, is #5, I believe, in this series. I really like this book, an insta love fated mate, except he didn’t know, instantly. Lol.
I like that neither of them were sure, but they both were still willing to try, for unselfish reasons.
I can’t really put it into words, as to why I love this book, this set of characters, with this storyline?!?! Guess I must relate to his personality. I love how he’s slowly unwrapped for you to see the other side of him & to understand his reasons, even in this quick read. What you think you see, isn’t always what the truth actually is.
Oh, btw, a piece of the Qurilixen world back story plot is revealed in every book also. Enjoy!

Finn has always been a bit reckless and never really been able to fully see what the reprecussions of his actions have been. Despite all that he has a true heart and doesn’t want to see either his people, the Draig, or his best friend’s people, the Var, suffer further by a lack of mates. He sneaks over to Earth to bring back a bride and convinces Prince Ivar to do the same. He had intended to stay on Earth to keep the portals open only he has a scuffle and gets thrown back to Qurilixen only to find that Sadie, a human woman, was thrown through by Ivar. He decides to take her as his bride and his world from that moment is upended. Sadie is a strong personality and she fights for what she believes is right. Will she see a future with Finn though, if she lives long enough to have a choice?
I love all of these books. The world, the crystals and how it all works. Just wonderful. True escapism to be found in these pages and I know I will return to them often.
I totally love this sci-fi/fantasy romance! Finn’s personality is so much fun! The story is full of sweetness, steam and adventure!

Can Sadie truly be Finn’s fated mate?
Finn kinda dupes Ivar into going through one of the Qurilixen’s portals to show up on Earth in search of mates for the two of them. Finn’s motive is far more altruistic though. He desires “to save his people from extinction”. When Ivar realizes Finn’s intent they end up fighting in front of the portal entrance. Sadie discovers them fighting and makes the mistake of interfering resulting in Ivar first knocking Finn through said portal and then shoving Sadie through. Ivar is left abandoned and alone on Earth while Finn unintentionally finds himself with a wife he really doesn’t want since the mating desire hasn’t stirred his soul when he looks at Sadie. Thus sets the theme for this latest edition of the “Captured by a Dragon-Shifter” series. Received this book via Booksprout.
Michelle M. Pillow is a creative writer. Love what she has done with this series. Finn tricked Ivar into going to Earth to find mates. He was planning on staying to keep the portals open. Sadie was a food blogger trying to stop a fight and ended up on another planet. Love how their relationship progressed. His plan didn’t go as planned. Love the punishment Sadie came up with for the antagonist.
Finn is seen as the playboy of the Draig Royal family. But looks can be deceiving. He feels deeply about the fate of his people and he is willing to take action to protect them and hopefully do something about their reproductive issues.
But when and Prince Ivar run into a snag in the shape of a female human whilst their in the middle of an argument, Finn finds himself back on his home planet along with said female and Ivar now trapped on Earth! He and his bride now have to unruffle cat shifter feelings, avoid diplomatic minefields and somehow find a way to make this mating work!!!
Another great strong female lead, i loved her face off with the Queen!!! Montague is brilliantly slimy and I loved working out who the traitor was!
Love the Dragon Lord series
