NYT & USAT BESTSELLING AUTHORCat-shifter Prince Rafe knows that technically he’s supposed to be traveling to Earth to find a bride, but he doesn’t see the need to rush things. While his dragon-shifter neighbors appear all too eager to claim their mates and settle down, he’s all for putting that final moment off and enjoying his little trips through the portal. Yeah, yeah, eventually he’ll … he’ll have to marry and set a good example for his people because on his planet females are rare, and they need to have children and blah blah blah. But honestly, cat-shifters are known to embrace their feral side and it would take a very impressive female to tame his.
Then he sees Jenna Kearney and all bets are off.

I loved this book. I laughed through so much of it. I loved how Rafe and Jenna first met. Michelle really knows how to put a good story together. I like how it has a magical fairytale like setting on the other planet and also is fun and witty, and who could forget steamy?! The clothes they wear are also a hoot. Imagine going back to a time like medieval days. I would love to visit their kingdom.
great series
this is the second book in the series and I found it to be better than the first. the characters I feel had a bit more to them but it’s still important to have read or listened to the first one. I didn’t think I end up looking forward to this series but have been pleasantly surprised at how these books are progressing. witty humour and paranormal romance all in one alien based story.
An entertaining tale whether reading or listening to.
The Rebellious Prince is the second in the Captured by a Dragon-shifter series. What you might not expect is that the MMC Rafe is a cat shifter prince. He’s charming, obnoxious, and just so right for his fated mate Jenna Keary. All bets aside, Rafe falls cup over tea kettle when he meets her and invites her home to his world. I can’t wait to listen to more in this series.
Rafe is a prince cat shifter looking for a wife. Rafe meets Jenna and he’s in love. After Jenna’s freak out, she agrees to being Rafe’s wife. This story is entertaining aside from the steamy scenes. I’ve listened to a couple books in this series and it is as good as the Mail-Order Brides series. I will now have to listen to the rest of the series. Recommend for all your lovers of steamy or regular romance.
Michelle M. Pillow did it again. I loved this book. Rafe was adorably clueless about women in this book. Jenna’s sarcasm went over his head. Love how the queen laid waste to everyone. The alien probe explanation was hilarious. Loved the ending. Great read.
Michelle M. Pillow did a fabulous job with the character work and the story line and this combination made for yet another book by this author that I adore. The narrator did a fantastic job with this book and made it pleasing to listen to. This was the perfect combination for listening and reading.
I received an ARC of the Audiobook and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This is the second novella in the Captured by a Dragon-Shifter Series. This is a series of interconnected standalone romances. Rafe, a catshifter Prince, is handsome and hilarious. Jenna is smart, very serious, and strong. I like their banter, and their strong chemistry. The story has a little suspense. Connor Brown did a good job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Stranded with the Cajun, the next book in the Series.
The second installment we follow Jenna and Rafe. What he believes is her agreement really isn’t and it’s just funny to see how he struggles when Jenna makes him work for it. It was a quick and funny listen. The narrator does a good job performing and narrating all of the characters.
This audiobook is well worth the listening time. Jenna is a wonderful female character! I love how she makes her Var prince sweat it out. There is even some comical relief. The epilogue especially had me roflmao. Eve with her extreme love of cheeseburgers make it into this book as well.
Rebellious Prince by Michelle M. Pillow is the second story in the Captured By A Dragon-Shifter series!!
I really enjoyed Rafe and Jenna’s story!! Rafe had me laughing out loud throughout and I would have loved to have seen the negotiations with their alien visitors
Great characters and story, I am enjoying this world very much!! Great audio narration too
This was short for an audible listen but still engaging. The narrator did a great job of enhancing the story with his rough voice and inflection. A great narration. The story! What did I like? This was a humorous story and I caught myself chuckling to the banter between Rafe and Jenna. The story half humorous half fanciful but a fun HEA. Would I recommend or buy? If your in the mood to try audible this is a short but funny one. An alien shifter romance involved with humans. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a great time. I received a complimentary listen and voluntarily left a review!
Finding mates on the planet Quirlixen is impossible so they have started using a portal to Earth to find mates. After the first kidnapping, rules were put in place but what happens when the girl says sure I’ll go home with you but knocks her self out before you can explain that it means another planet. This fun tug of war of give and take is an enjoyable read that may make you hungry with all the food discussed. Shifter romance with an alien twist in a world beautifully created by the author. Enjoyed the narration of the book. The male narrator did a good job on both genders.
Audiobook review: Oh my! Be ready for some sizzling steamy scenes!! Rafe and Jeanna make for a great pair but their story is not all roses. Not for children under 18 years of age. The narrator did a fantastic job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Set in the Dragon Lords world this was a light and breezy story featuring the hero Prince Rafe, friend of the Draig.
Rafe is the youngest of the Var princes and has no interest in settling down but a chance encounter in a diner with the human female, Jenna, and suddenly he knows he has found his mate.
Jenna, is a number cruncher and has hit a rough patch. She hates her boss and her life and is in a slump. When she gets hit on by a frankly bizarre looking male, who she thinks is a foreign model, she laughs him off. When Jenna stumbles, hitting her head, she wakes up on a different planet, with shifters and a certain model, who is a prince and wants Jenna to be his wife.
I love these earlier stories in the Draig/Var world. There is lots of humour and sexual tension. The language barrier and cultural miseducation lead to hilarious moments, where the tears were sliding down my face!!! The rapport between Rafe and Ivar and Rafe and Jenna and the misconceptions that follow are hilarious . Rafe honestly thought Jenna had accepted being his bride and can’t understand her reluctance to instantly say yes!!!
This particular series features women from our time line so it’s very easy to identify with the events. I love the mixture of romance, sci fi and paranormal and can’t wait for more from this series.
