Blessed Betrayal is a story of the sweetest kind of revenge. It will keep you turning the pages until the very end, rooting for Cali and Nick to find their happily ever after. It is a standalone story and does not end on a cliffhanger.

I really enjoyed this book. I was going to give it 4.5 stars, but one scene took it to 5 stars for me.
The high point was when Keith and Veronica had their final encounter. I probably should not have gotten as much pleasure out of that exchange as I did.
I liked both Nick and Calista. Even when Calista had to endure Keith, I hoped someone would stand for her. She was just too broken. Neither she nor Nick deserved what their lives had become. They had such great chemistry and ended up being so supportive.
I expected this book to be more along the lines of the Black Light series, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was taking a different path. There were a number of twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. There was also a kind of bizarre ending but it was strangely appropriate at the same time.
A fast paced romance full with deceit, anger, love, some steaminess, a good dose of karma, a pinch of spirituality, and a HEA.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This story takes a twist that I didn’t see coming. Calista is married to Kevin who has become very abusive to her. He needs an heir to fulfill his grandfathers will but Calista fails to get pregnant. Across town, Nicholas and Veronica’s marriage is falling apart. When a tragedy brings Calist and Nicholas together, the story really gets interesting and the reader gets taken on an emotional trip. I can’t really say anymore or it will give the story away but this in one of Livia Grant’s best stories! Pick it up!!
I received an Advanced Reader Copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. Cali finds out that her husband is cheating on her in the most brutal way possible. Nick finds out his wife has cheated in the same way. They help each other pick up the pieces. This is an emotional read. I found it to be an engrossing read.
This book was heartwarming despite the events that let up to the conclusion. Cali was in an abusive marriage. Whereas, Nick’s marriage wasn’t any better and failing also. Cali and Nick are brought together by either fate or divine intervention. Once you read you’ll understand. Loved this book and especially the ending.
Wow! This one got my emotions going from the beginning. Anger, betrayal, lust, love it’s all there and wrapped up beautifully. This is definitely worth the read.
I really enjoyed Blesed Betrayal.
I loved Cali and Nick and absolutely despised some other characters.
Both seem like they have the perfect lives.
Cali is married to a prestigious lawyer who’s family runs and owns their own law firm.
Financially they want for nothing.
Nick is a talented lawyer that brings millions into the law firm he works at.
He’s a good husband and a fantastic father to his little girl.
Throughly appreciated how well Ms. Grant wrote the characters, both the good ones and the bad ones.
I could feel the anguish, the fear and the anger come to life.
Cali and Nick have a lot to get over, especially Cali.
When the ones you should have trusted the most have deceived you it’s going to take someone special to restore what has been broken.
This is an emotional story.
It broke my heart in parts and mended it up again.
Cali and Nick have both gone through the ultimate betrayal, but from those tragedies arose something good and whole. My heart was hurting so badly for them both, but I wanted so much for them to find some happiness. I enjoyed their story very much. It’s a little different from LG’s other books, but still so enthralling. I felt the resolution/ending came on a bit fast though, and was hoping for a more drawn out ending. Both Cali and Nick had me connecting with them at the most basic level. Amazing, quick read about human nature and two hearts that were truly meant to be together.
Can fragile trust ever be restored once shattered? Or are there truly miracles and second chances?
Calista Bennett’s life seems perfect. Her husband, Kevin, is gorgeous, wealthy, a lawyer. She has a beautiful home, all the material things she could want. What more does she need? But ugliness hides beneath the surface, and Cali’s terrified. When Nickolas Mikos, Kevin’s co-worker, and his wife, Veronica, walk into Cali’s life, they’re the tiniest of blips on her radar. They, too, seem the perfect couple. But appearances are all too often deceiving. Too soon, both Cali and Nick’s lives are irrevocably changed. As Cali tries to pick up the pieces in the aftermath, she learns Nick is not who she assumed. Just who is this man, what is it about him that makes him so important? There are so many questions, and so few answers. As Cali and Nick struggle to come to terms with the present, just what does the future hold? As disaster strikes again, a miracle is the only answer. Do miracles even exist? Betrayal shredded Cali and Nick’s lives once. Can either ever trust again? Or will the past destroy the present and the future forever?
This book is special to me in so many ways. For me, Cali is a contradiction in terms. She’s strong in her beliefs, but doesn’t believe in herself. She’s loving and caring, but doesn’t feel she deserves love. I identified with Cali in more than a few ways. Nick’s also strong, physically and emotionally. But he, too, has his vulnerabilities, many of which are far from evident. After the traumas both Cali and Nick endure, you naturally want them each to find a happily-ever-after. But nothing about this story is simple. Nothing is as it seems. I don’t want to give anything about this story away. I really want you to read this book because it’s so rare and beautiful. I honestly don’t have the words to describe it. You have to experience it yourself. Livia Grant is one of the very best authors I’ve ever read. Every book she writes is filled with characters so unique, so full of emotion. They pull you into their lives, immerse you in their world. Nick and Cali’s story captivates you to the exclusion of all else. You’re transported to the world Ms. Grant’s created, and everything around you ceases to exist. That is the hallmark of an extraordinary author, and, for me, that is the very definition of Livia Grant. She’s never written a book I didn’t love, and this one is no exception. Thank you, Ms. Grant, for the precious gift of each book you write. And congratulations on another winning story! This deserves nothing less than five stars!
A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the author. She works hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to a book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
DOUBLE WOW!!!!!
I am blown away! Blessed Betrayal is definitely not lacking in the “plot twist” departure. On this ride Livia Grant let’s you take a breath, only to steal it from you when you least expect it. It’s fabulous!
This story put both my brain and my heart through a blender. Twisted them both up like a pretzel and then pressed ‘frappe’. I’m still a bit in shock over the radical twist in the end, so it might take me a bit to overcome my story hangover. I found the first couple chapters to be a little traumatic, and I had to push myself to read through them. Thankfully that’s the only part of the book like that. The rest of Cali and Nick’s story was so beautiful and emotional. Speaking as a betrayed spouse, I found the story to be a bit cathartic even.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
This book offers readers an intense, emotional and twisty romance. Wow. Cali and Nick have some really bad things to endure before they can start down that road to a HEA. I really liked this two and they definitely deserved happiness after everything they went through. Steamy and dramatic, sweet and spicy, heartbreaking and heartachingly beautiful, this book will put your emotions through their paces.
Short story about finding love after heartache. After a “miracle” and a few twists Calista and Nickolas get their family HEA. I loved this story about trusting again after betrayal. I highly recommend!
WOW! What an emotionally heart wrenching roller coaster ride this story takes you on. The opening jumps right into the tension, fear, betrayal, and angst that Cali was forced to endure in her marriage to wealthy, prominent and sadistic Kevin. Add to that the arrogance and condescension Nick puts up with from his wife, Veronica, in order to provide a nurturing home life for their daughter.
One day, one moment and everything changes for both families. I will not say more, because almost everything would be a spoiler, and you need to read the whole book for yourself. The twists and turns in this story are amazing. It has been a very long time since a story brought a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes. This one did just that!
Wow! My emotions are all over the place! This book drew me in from the very beginning. I couldn’t put it down! It tells the story of Cali, a young woman in a troubled marriage and Nicholas, a man who is also in a not so great marriage and has a beautiful, young daughter. They both feel trapped in their marriages until one day tragedy strikes and their lives become intertwined. Can they handle the truths and lies of their marriages? Then when something from Cali’s past comes to light, can they get past it? Will their relationship defeat all odds? I rooted for these characters throughout this book. Their chemistry was sizzling! The way this writer describes these characters it’s as if you can actually feel their sadness, anger, happiness and love. I truly enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more by this author. This book is a must read.
I am a relatively new reader to Ms Grant. I opened the book to quickly peruse the first couple of pages; instead, I found myself engrossed in a complex emotional tale that I daren’t put down. Nick and Cali are both betrayed in so many ways. Because of their similar situation, they start to talk about their loss & anger, and their relief. They start to heal through Nick’s daughter, Andi. This one has all the feels and I loved every page. There is much more to the story, which I don’t want to spoil. I found the characters to be well-developed and the story beautifully told.
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
