Scientist and archeologists

More praise for The Betrayed series…
“I usually skip short stories but I loved “30 Pieces of Silver” so much that I knew Ambush would be worth reading. I was right! It is a fantastic introduction to Brandt and his crew leading the reading straight into “30 Pieces of Silver”. I am so in love with Carolyn McCray’s writing. Move over Dan Brown, there is a new sheriff on town!”

For anyone who can’t get enough of James Rollins, Dan Brown, Steve Berry, and Brad Thor… The Missions is your next thrill fix!!!
If you haven’t read the first book in the Betrayed series, look for 30 Pieces of Silver but be forewarned it is EXTREMELY controversial.
If you enjoy hard-pounding action you’ll want to check out Carolyn’s newest techno-thriller, Encrypted.
If you were looking for near future action/adventure roller coaster, try Carolyn’s MoonRush.
If you were looking for Carolyn’s #1 historical thriller set in ancient Rome, it is Fated. Beware though, there is a thread of paranormal romance that sneaks up on you like an asp in the night…
**If you were looking for Carolyn’s #1 Hard Boiled/Police Procedural mystery, it is Plain Jane: A Patterson-style thriller with a dash of Hannibal

Excellent series!
I love ancient history and archaeology so that was a good start. These books are unlike others in the genre, in that preservation is not quite how they approach these wonderful places.
For starters, through this series, the protagonists manage to wreak havoc every where they go, and often their adventures take them to they types of places which end up on the World Heritage list. No amazing place is exempt.
The characters are great and the team works together; everyone pretty much does what you expect the character to do, but never quite in the way you expect. Stuff happens.
If you want a good romp through some incredible locations, suspend your sense of reality, crank up your imagination and start this series.
Definitely fictional. Unrealistic and farfetched.
I found the book offensive to everything I believe. It seems as if the author is trying to kill Christianity. It was so depressing and disheartening, I couldn’t even finish the series.
This is a very good series of books.
I read Ambush the “prequel” novella and it wasn’t bad. It sort of threw you in the middle of an operation and you didn’t really know what was going on except bullets were flying. But not bad.
Then I started on 30 Pieces of Silver. Not good. I tried to finish it. I mean there are several more books in this Omnibus, I wanted to read them. I just couldn’t do it.
The author, Ms McCray, has a really bad habit of throwing in all this extra junk that has nothing to do with the story, just because she knows it. I don’t care. I don’t need to know who built a wall around Budapest or why, irrelevant. Nothing to do with the story.
And the love story….seriously. The main characters met two days ago and now can’t even think of being away from each other? Let’s be real.
I noticed it has rave reviews. Everyone loves this collection. Sorry, not me.
Trim the fat and add just a little reality to the romance and give me a call.
OK read author knows nothing about spec ops. No privates in Army Special Forces, let alone one that would be a highly trained sniper. Also I assume the author is also an atheist, since every book belittles religion in general and Christianity in particular.
Thrillers! Greatest writing.
very confusing. didn’t connect at all. don’t understand what he author was trying to do
I’m about 25 pages in. Not something I was interested in
Different from all the rest.
I enjoyed this series.
I loved these characters and read all 9 books (twice) – I want more but unfortunately Carolyn McCray died 🙁
Really good reading especially with all that is happening in the world today
Unbelievable plot and action
Not a great deal to recommend this series. The action bounces back and forth between a tale of the early years of Jesus, culminating in his persecution and ‘death’, the betrayal of Judas and present day investigation into things. I made it about 30% through the first book before putting it down in disgust, not due to any religious offense (purged myself of that superstition years ago), but due to an inability to suspend my sense of disbelief.
Amazing!!!
None of the positive words available adequately describe this horrible series. The author apparently has no good friends who are brave enough to give an honest opinion. Nor does she have friends who are fluent in the English language. The writing is terrible, the editing non-existent and the proofreading/copy editing appalling. Do yourself a favor and slip this series entirely.
Currently reading and cannot put it down. Cannot wait to find our what really happened. Characters are real like people and go through tough challenges. I would highly recommend this book for a very interesting read.
Betrayed was an excellent book Once I started reading it Betrayed was hard to put down. It was action packed and kept ypu wondering what was coming next.
