“I don’t want to die like this. Not here, not now—in the anatomy lab on a Saturday night. I know I’ve done some bad things in my life, but I’m pretty sure I don’t deserve this…”It happens every year. Every year at Southside Medical School, nicknamed “Suicide Med,” one student dies by their own hand. The press cites the heavy workload as the culprit in the high suicide rate. Students believe the … rate. Students believe the school is cursed.
Still others believe the deaths may not be suicides at all—that it’s no coincidence Dr. Conlon, Suicide Med’s quirky but beloved anatomy professor, joined the staff on the very year the suicides began. Is there more to the bespectacled professor than meets the eye?
Either way, there is no doubt in the minds of every student:
Someone will be next to die.

This book was not what I expected at all. It was actually much better and dealt with many issues of stresses relating to being the best in our own minds and others. While this scenario shows the angst of students trying to become doctors, some excelling and some barely passing, it is a fine example of the human factor, which brings out the dark sides in all of us when tempted. I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.
Loved this book but it might not be for everyone. A lot of medical terminology that everyone might not understand. Very unexpected ending. Couldn’t put it down!
Loved it, loved it, loved it! Right up to the very surprising end. I wont spoil it for you but when you read the ending it give it some thought and an ironic smile! This is an absolute must read.
Had some completely unbelievable parts, but kept me interested until the end.
Good read.
This was a strange but interesting book! It’s written by 6 main characters telling about the same period of time but from their own point of view. Each character tells new info as you continue to read the book and you can’t really figure it out until the end. Not really predictable, but a mostly satisfying ending.
It was a different book on a series of mixers in a college. It had a different twist to it..I was not impressed.
It kept you guessing
I thought this book was ok, well, maybe a little more than ok, I suppose. It did not surprise me very much, but did mostly hold my attention.
I really enjoy this author’s work. I love the peek behind the curtain at med school, but beyond that, the plot keeps you guessing and the multiple points of view, which could have stagnated the story, served instead to keep refreshing it.
Very interwoven. Read carefully but this is a great book.
As a nurse, I like stories in a medical context. I was unsure of the perpetrator until the end.
I thought it might turn out to be a good book until one of the characters discovered he had an eye on his back. Totally stupid.
I only made it through six chapters so maybe this is an unfair review but I couldn’t go any farther. The protagonist, Heather, is a total ninny. The writing is juvenile and the plot uninteresting.
Excellent! The story is told by the different characters, brilliant. Also very suspenseful and unexpected. Hard to put down. Wish there would’ve been a couple more chapters…..
so interesting I could not put it down!
At first I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book, but the bizarre twists kept me going
Silly premise
The characters were interesting as she .develops a series. But she did not know how to land this book with more of a crescendo that followed the character development. I might venture to #2 to see if she built on her losers. Losers get old
