It’s not until a missing girl is found chained up in Abram’s home that this beauty realizes one of her romantic interests is a beast.
When I took this job at New Haven’s first ever Night Club, it was just to try to get on my own two feet. I hadn’t expected to fall for my boss.
Now, I can’t seem to stay away, despite all the warning signs he’s hiding something from me. It’s not until I …
Taken by the Beast
Good characters and an interesting twist on beauty and the beast
It may not have been my favorite of its genre but it was interesting. I appreciate the unexpected turns. The authors had me so focus on the obvious clues that I misse all the others and it wasn’t until the end that I was like “oh, now that makes sense”. I love being fooled haha. Give it a read make your own assumptions
Loved this book. Couldn’t put it down. Very good read.
Wicked & Wonderful Series
A slightly dark and twisted new take on an old tale. Jump on board for a different kind of rollercoaster ride and hold on right to the end! Book one grabs you up and pulls you in.
Ughhh It had so many twist and turns , stops and starts , it was a waste to try and follow. The main characters was treated like crap even by her “friends”. Was not impressed by anything in the book.
This was an interesting, book with many wonderful twists. An excellent enjoyable book with plots you don’t see coming. As you’re reading along you think things are going one way, only to find out that they are going in a completely different way. It’s nice not to be able to anticipate everything as you’re reading along. This book has everything needed in it, it’s relatable, well developed characters. A love story, mystery, murders, monster’s (I’ll let you find out what kind), betrayal, deep friendships, curses, and a sleepy small little town with lots creepy woods. People who are not what they seem, and others that are exactly what they seem lol.
This book was a joy to read, and I look forward to reading the next book in this series…. yay there is a next book. It sounds like it should be a good one also. It seems the main characters have quite a journey ahead of them, and I am ecstatic to go on the journey with them.
I’ll let you know what I think of the next book…
good read
It started really interesting and then too complicated. Got boring.
This was not a good book for me sorry
4.5 Stars. Charisse moves back to her home town because she had no other options. The town has changed and doesn’t really feel like home to her. She learns that women have died or gone missing and they all look like her.
I really enjoyed this “beauty and the beast-esque” story. Charisse is a strong and stubborn woman who is more than she knows. There is a love triangle but it’s pretty inconsequential. It was overall an enjoyable read that can be read on its own. Technically the epilogue sets up the next book but I felt it could be read as a stand-alone. While I did enjoy this story very much, I hesitate to continue with the series because there were SO MANY typographical errors that it was frustrating (hence 4.5 stars). If the other books in the series are the same I don’t think it would be worth it. As it is, it took me 10 days to get through this one because I kept stopping and reading other things.
This is a re-telling of Beauty and the Beast. The how of the beast is a very original plot. The rest of the book is pretty standard same thing I’ve read a 100 times over. I had a difficult time connecting the with lead female character. She is a fashionista, flighty, nightmare for those who love strong women. Also some parts are just not realistic. What best friend, who is living together, isn’t at the hospital when her best friend is in labor?
There were multiple spelling issues and a variety of pieces of plot that didn’t fit together. The story was slow and there are character development issues.
This wasn’t a bad paranormal romance. The lead female’s fashion references were a bit comical, but I appreciate that it was different than the traditional heroine’s inner monologue. Although there is a bit of resolution at the end of this book, some things were left unanswered; however, this is the first book in a series. The author has to have something to entice you to purchase the rest of her series.
Very poorly edited. I try not to be too critical of typos, but this one had sooo many and it was really distracting.
I didn’t really care for this book and I wouldn’t recommend it.
A beauty and the beast type book.
Very difficult to follow the story. Too much jumping around. I gave up halfway through. OCuldn’t kkep my interest.
I love the cover but not the book. At first it was a bit confusing then once I figured things out it was just too predictable. The heroine was TSTL, I did NOT like who the bad guy was AT. ALL. even though I figured it out quickly enough, it wasn’t hard. Then I got bored because…too predictable and skipped forward several times because there was just so much moaning by the heroine and complaining I skipped and skipped and it just didn’t get any better. What a disappointment. I’m not saying the authors write like a teenager or anything of that sort, no, they can string the words together just fine, I just didn’t like where it went…UCK! I wasn’t nuts about the gore either but that’s just me.
