A shifter battling his wolf instincts…A woman living a life of obligation and lies…A moment of fate interrupted by danger. Book one in the Feral Breed Motorcycle Club series Rebel Lynch has spent two hundred years searching for balance between his human side and his inner wolf. As a den President of The Feral Breed Motorcycle Club, a lack of control over the beast within isn’t just a pain in … of control over the beast within isn’t just a pain in the tail, it’s a death sentence. One served by his club brothers: the judges, jury, and executioners of the wolf-shifting community.
At Amnesia Gentlemen’s Club, customers and staff check their real-world identities at the door. Charlotte, one of the club’s best waitresses, ditched her legit career in corporate IT because she needs the kind of income those pesky IRS folks can’t track. When the smart-mouthed bombshell pulls a gig serving a private party, she expects nothing more than a few extra tips. That is until dirty-talking Rebel Lynch strolls into the room looking like sin incarnate, flashing motorcycle club colors, and blasting Charlotte’s expectations about work, life, and love straight to hell.
One glance at Charlotte and Rebel knows she’s his fated mate. But a wolf shifter is attacking women at the club, threatening Charlotte’s life, and putting the entire shifter community at risk of exposure. Rebel and his Feral Breed MC brothers must find the crazed shifter before he strikes again. If Rebel can’t uncover the threat in their midst–and learn to rein in the protective instincts of a fully mated Alpha–his future with Charlotte will be dead on arrival.

Rebel Lynch has finally found his mateHe is den President of The Feral Breed Motorcycle Club, I liked Rebel’s struggle to come to terms with balancing his wolf and human side.He is looking for a wolf aggressor who harmed a woman working in a strip club. Cherry or Charlotte a young CIF graduate is waitressing in a strip joint to support herself and young brother after a car accident takes the lives of their parents. Not her ideal job but it makes enough to help her brother who lost his site in the accident. She doesn’t understand her response to the stranger that comes through the door, but that the least of her shocks for the night.
What happens when life doesn’t go like you thought it would. I thought this was a great story with a lot of interesting parts. The plot was well developed and I liked the characters and how they grew within the story. Rebel was an almost generic Alpha dude, but Charlotte was a survivor. She was the better described character, with the most emotional draw in the story. I was invested in what happened to her and was scared the she would die before she got to live a happy life.I was invested in the story from the beginning and had trouble putting it down.
My kind of man
Rebel made Charlotte see that she really needed to rethink her situation, but then he left her. Eventually he manages to wrap his thinking around the way a modern woman is, thanks to some help from a few key friends. Their new beginning ends up being the best thing for both of them.
3.5 rounded up to a 4. This is book 1 in the Feral Breed Motorcycle Club. Abraham/Rebel is a 200 year old wolf shifter. He is the den president of his arm of the motorcycle club. Rather than being one entity, he feels the need to constantly control and be the master of his wolf. His den is tasked with investigating a rogue wolf shifter. The investigation brings him into contact with Charlotte, his fated mate, at a gentlemen’s club. Charlotte, a human, is the guardian of her blind teenaged brother and a waitress at the gentlemen’s club. It’s the only way she can make enough money to pay for the special school her brother needs. The story has a bit of mystery and light danger and is fairly low angst. It has a little bit of everything – sweet moments, a bit of steam, a small amount of dangerous action, family drama, and painful pasts. I wish the book dove deeper into the H and h’s emotions and pasts as that would have given more depth to the characters and made them easier to connect with. Despite this, there is some growth by both of the main characters, especially by Rebel. Overall, I really liked the storyline and will definitely read more of this series.
REBEL WITH A CAUSE !!!
Claiming His Fate is the first book in Ellis Leigh’s exciting series, Feral Breed Motorcycle Club and I loved it! This was my first time reading Ms Leigh’s work but it certainly won’t be my last. I am officially a fan! The story is exciting, powerful, compelling, thrilling, addictive, romantic, arousing and sensual. The dialog is raw, gritty, smart and well written. The characters are imaginative, captivating, intriguing and sexy as sin! I was on the edge of my seat from the first page till the last! Wow! What a ride! Sexy Abraham “Rebel” Lynch has been a wolf shifter since he was turned in 1794. For the last 200 years he has struggled for balance between his human side and his inner wolf because a lack of control is a sure-fire death sentence for him at the hands of his brothers, the Feral Breed Motorcycle Club, the protectors of the secret for the wolf shifters of North America. And that certainly would be very bad since he’s the President of the Great Lakes Den. They are his family and everything he needs or so he thought – until he lays eyes on human Charlotte aka Cherry at Amnesia Gentlemen’s Club- with her beautiful blonde hair, bright green eyes and very luscious curves. And she just happens to be his mate! So darn dreamy! Sigh…..But his mate is in grave danger from a psychotic rogue wolf, a man-eater, and he must not fail her. Charlotte lost her parents in a tragic accident and is struggling to support her blind younger brother. She has no time for relationships. When she first sees handsome Rebel Lynch, she knows he’s trouble. Unfortunately, her brain doesn’t get the memo because she can’t seem to fight the immediate attraction and sexual chemistry she feels for the sexy biker. But she has no idea that Rebel is a wolf and not just any wolf…he’s an alpha wolf! Oh my! Wolf shifters don’t really exist, do they? It seems they do. But Rebel demands too much too soon from his lovely mate and at what cost? Will he be able to save her? Maybe it’s time for Rebel to stop fighting and finally realize that he and his wolf are two halves of the same soul. Can he embrace his wolf and claim his mate? Maybe, just maybe, it’s time for Rebel to stop rebelling and stop being “the rebel”. A wonderful journey of self discovery and love! Sexy wolf shifters-check! Beautiful smart curvy human heroine-check! Action, adventure and great cast of characters-check! Romance and steamy sex-check and check! Yeah baby! Fantastic entertainment and an awesome read! I can hardly wait for Book Two!
The ending of this book, though happy, didn’t match the intensity of the beginning. That was a bit disappointing.
I have book one but grabbed the box set books 1-3.
Rebel and Charlotte, a good pairing even if Rebel was too pushy at first and didn’t think about Charlotte’s responsibility to her Special Needs brother Julian.
Like but not able to love this series even with its good characters and interesting plot. Really liking Gates.
I have to start by saying I have put off reading this series for ages, one, as I am not an MC fan and two, having read both THE DIRE WOLVES and THE GATHERING series prior, (both of which I enjoyed very much), I am still not a fan of the wolf shifter world this author has created.
Now I have my head around this series a bit I understand the Feral Breeds are the go-to guys for dirty work, or to sort out bad alphas and packs. Still they have a set of rules to abide by and no real ability to stop things.
Saying that the big Alphas are trying to change things is all well and good but they seem to be lacking in power, and atrocities are still being done.
The old ways are horrendous if you are a female. An Alpha being able to force a mated woman to his bed is one big no no for me.
First book in the Feral Breed Motorcycle Club series. Each book is a stand alone issue and doesn’t have to be read in numerical order. The book is a PNR for adults over 18, contains lots of sex, great characters, second chances, action and suspense that keep you glued to the pages. Also, this is not your typical MC book or a shifter romance, it’s lore is different and it’s plot is not dark. All in all a interesting, fast-paced read with an ending that is to abrupt but does have a HEA.
This is my first book that I’ve read by this author and I will be reading more from her
