Spin-off book in the Addicted series | Book #2 in the Calloway Sisters series
Ryke Meadows, meet Daisy Calloway … she’s all grown up.
Twenty-five-year-old Ryke Meadows knows he’s hard to love. With a billion-dollar inheritance, a track-star resume, and an alpha-male personality–he redefines the term likable asshole. But he’s not living to make friends. Or enemies. He just wants to free climb … He just wants to free climb three of the toughest mountains in Yosemite without drama or interruption.
And then he receives a distressed call from a girl in Paris–a girl that he has never been allowed to have.
Daisy Calloway is eighteen. Finally. With her newfound independence, she can say goodbye to her overbearing mother and continue her modeling career. Next stop, Paris. Fashion Week begins with a bang, and Daisy uncovers the ugly reality of the industry. She wants to prove to her family that she can live on her own, but when everything spirals out of control, she turns to Ryke to keep her secrets.
As Daisy struggles to make sense of this new world and her freedom, she pushes the limits and fearlessly rides the edge. Ryke knows there’s deep hurt beneath every impulsive action. He must keep up with Daisy, and if he lets her go, her favorite motto–“live as if you’ll die today”–may just come true.

I LOVE this series! With every book I fall more and more in love with the Calloway sisters and the men who love them.
Ryke is perfect for Daisy. He loves her something fierce! He keeps her safe and protected but still lets her wild adventurous spirit fly.
I love the relationships between all six characters. They love and support each other unconditionally I can’t get enough!
This is my first K&B book. And I can safely say this duo is on my roster. Now. That being said I DID enjoy this book.
But . . .
I know I will be in the minority with this. This isn’t so much a review as it is a rant. I probably won’t go into detail about their relationship and whatnot. Just read the book. It is good.
Now . . .
I felt the couple got overshadowed by the previous couples who ARE NOT my favorite. The book was suppose to be centered around Ryke and Daisy. Anytime the other couples were around the feel of the book changed and that was 50% of the time. And I know it might have been because of the content but those couple reigned over the one’s who the book was suppose to be about.
They already had their stories told, I felt there was no need to put that much credence into them as it was to Ryke and Daisy.
I wanted a story centered around them. There was also the fact that one couple really got on my nerves with their holier than thou attitude. I probably won’t be reading their story, I got enough of an idea how stupid and immature they are. No offense to the authors but argh, I wanted to give them a piece of my mind.
And the way Daisy and Ryke were treated pissed me off so much.
These two were by far the most mature and realistic to me, and I haven’t even read the other books. Loren and Lily weren’t too bad but bad enough.
It’s sad that they only got 2.5 books while the others got way more page time than they deserved. Then I noticed that the authors are writing books about their children, who again, the other couples kids get more page time.
Sorry if this offends anyone but this is the best couple and they deserve more from them.
My two cents.
This whole series is amazing.
God, I don’t know what I would do without Audible. I’m on a time crunch for reading, but my audiobook time is WIIIIIIDE open. And with that time I’ve been devouring these books. And this is the book I’ve been wanting to read since I realized I was totally and completely in love with Ryke Meadows.
Don’t read any further if you haven’t read any of these books.
Anyway.
Daisy Calloway is the youngest of the Calloway clan. She’s the model, the wild one, the girl who just wants to make others happy.
Ryke Meadows is brother to Loren Hale, son to Jonathan Hale, sober for 9 years, and Daisy’s unofficial protector.
So it only makes since that these two would be close. They’ve been forced into social situations together for years. When Conner and Rose pair off, when Lo and Lily go off on their own, it leaves Ryke and Daisy together.
She’s wild. He’s the only one who can keep up with her.
And their love is the most beautiful of loves in this whole series. Yes, I love Lily and Lo because they are so special, they are best friends, they are everything to each other, the reason the other lives and breathes. And Conner and Rose are so powerful, demanding, dominant, and intriguing. Those two could only match one another.
But Ryke and Daisy? Now, those two were never supposed to happen. And that’s why it’s beautiful. He is the only one she trusts, the only one who helps her, the only one to push her to live the life she wants to live. He pushes her to be herself and not some creation of other people.
When forces beyond their control continue to push them together, continue to test their friendship, continue to see what the other is made of…well, they rise above. They are more. They are powerful. They are beauty and wildness and crazy and love all in one.
We finally get to know more about the youngest Calloway sister! Of course she was going to get together with Ryke. Was there ever any question about that? The real question is how everyone will deal with their relationship. Daisy has her modeling career. She is finally 18 so she can go to Paris for fashion week without her overbearing mother. After all of the trauma she has dealt with from her sister’s sex addiction, and then her other sister’s sex tapes, you wonder if this poor girl can take anymore. Ryke is really the only one that has been there for her. Thankfully she has him since her other sisters have someone also.
The more you get into their lives the more you love all of these characters. They all have so many issues to work through. The sisters don’t seem to all have a great dynamic. Lily and Rose are extremely close. Daisy doesn’t feel as close to her sisters. It takes Ryke pushing her before she comes clean to her sisters. This is what finally gets her as close to her sisters as she has wanted to be. Her relationship with Ryke is not something that a lot of people approve of, but they don’t care. And they shouldn’t. Ryke is the one that has to finally make his decision that his happiness needed to be put above everyone else’s. His happiness and Daisy’s happiness.
I look forward to more of the saga of the Calloway sisters! I cant wait to read more about how Daisy and Ryke’s relationship continues to form.
Wow! Her condition seemed a little bit unbelievable but overall loved it.
Loved it.
