** audio book review **
I couldn’t start this book fast enough. I had to know what was going to happen with Allie & Levi. Haven’t read the first book, Flight? Stop reading this review and go read it or listen to it. This is a great supernatural series. In this book Allie has agreed to go with the motions of being Levi’s princess, future queen. She hasn’t fully accepted the responsibility thrown her way and she really has no idea what she is in for. This is a book of more self discovery and a slow burn romance between Allie and Levi. I wanted her to be with him. Yes I understood her hesitation. Total bad move on his part by pretty much tricking her to be with him forever. But they belong together. Then her ex Toby who is obsessed with her is back in the picture and talk about a shocker cliffhanger! That’s all the info you will get out of me. Continue on this adventure.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it way more enjoyable than the first book. I loved that Allie and Levi sorted their sh*t out and I’m glad that Levi knows how to compromise like with his dad Robert trying to get Allie to quit school since Levi will be travelling when he takes a more active role in the Society, after a short argument Levi realised how upset it was making Allie and came up with a plan to condense her courses to a few days a week and travel the rest of the week when needed. I loved how Allie and Jared have a weird friendship/kind of like sibling relationship as they annoy each other constantly but would have each other’s backs when needed especially when she wanted to learn how to protect herself and he showed her how to stop a Pteron in their tracks by pushing in between their wings which she needed to use not long after when Jared’s brother Bryant k*dnapped her and was planning on handing her over to one of Laurent’s rival families the Blackwells so he possibly helped save her life. I’m looking forward to reading the next book especially after this one ended in a cliff hanger. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
After what happened towards the end of the first book, Flight, Allie has found herself in way over her head. She is angry and Levi has a lot to make up for. It is actually entertaining to watch his various attempts in achieving her forgiveness. Don’t worry though, the book is still full of great sarcasm and one-liners! Also, interestingly enough, we get to know Jared a little better. In addition to that, the crazy girl that Hailey was scared to room with makes an appearance!
I really enjoyed Focus and Ivy didn’t let me down, I was still laughing just as much as I did when I read the first book in the series. Just like what I said when I reviewed Flight, I’m almost 100% positive that Ivy loves writing this crazy fun dialogue. There is no way she does not laugh while writing some of these things!!
Another Great read!! 🙂
