Lily Foster “will satisfy discerning fans of the new-adult genre.” -Kirkus Reviews
She’s back.
Darcy all but ran away, desperate to shake him off. Her boyfriend? The guy who came off as sweet and devoted, the life of the party? Try obsessed, out of control and hell-bent on ruining her life.
One year later, a new and improved Darcy Donovan is back on campus and she’s got a plan. That plan doesn’t … she’s got a plan. That plan doesn’t include Tom Farrell, or any other guy for that matter. He’s surfer-boy hot and he talks a good game, but don’t they all?
Hell to the yes…She’s back.
Going after his friend’s girl is wrong, but Tom is too hung up on Darcy to care. Screw principles, screw ethics, screw the bro code. An hour in her presence would lead the best of men to veer off the high road.
And he has his work cut out for him. She still thinks he’s a joke, nothing more than a walking, talking one-night stand. What she doesn’t know is that Tom has spent the past year changing his ways. He’s not all talk, and he’ll do whatever it takes to prove it.
But when a menace from Darcy’s past resurfaces and Tom’s past comes back to bite him hard, their one shot at happily ever after may be shot to hell. What you don’t know? Turns out that it can hurt you.
Let Me Be the One is the first book in Lily Foster’s Let Me series. Gripping and emotional, these stand-alone coming of age and new adult romances are intended for the 18 and older crowd due to mature sexual content.

Very readable characters… great storyline
Another great read from book bub. Read this too long ago to remember all the details but would recommend and read again.
Absolutely Amazing
This is book one in The Let Me series and it is Darcy and Tom’s story . Tom had been through a really bad breakup and he started sleeping around until one day he realised that he is not that person and when he saw Darcy who was Nick girlfriend everything changed for Tom as he could see how special she was and he wanted to get to know her. When Darcy broke up with Nick because his behaviour changed and things got really ugly and he wouldn’t leave her alone Darcy decided to study abroad for a year and she knew that she would miss her friends and Tom but it was something that she had to do. When Darcy returned back to college after spending time away she wasn’t looking forward to seeing Nick again and she hoped that he didn’t cause trouble again but she was really looking forward to seeing Tom as he had been on her mind a lot. Tom was really pleased to see Darcy again and he wanted to show her that he would be there for her regardless. As Darcy and Tom spend more time together there feelings for each other grew stronger as they had a strong connection and chemistry between them but will it be enough. There are many twists and turns some good, some bad and some unexpected surprises but the characters and storyline pulled you in right from the first page and it was a real page turner and so addictive. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by Lily Foster as she is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading.
Loved it.
A great series that I started a long time ago. I still remember the plots so great, memorable characters throughout.
A great NA series. Each book is special and stays with you for a long time.
Oh my heart ached for both the main characters in this book. Just tugged on my heart so many times. I loved their story but crikey the things that happen to them. I got so sucked in to them both and what was going on I was willing them into a certain direction. The support cast was great and I’d loved to know more about them, though I can see the start of the next book within those.
It was an okay story. There was way to much drama for my taste. The characters were so absorbed in themselves they could not see past their own noses.
Darcy and Tom are cute and sweet. Completely smitten with each other but of course, as life always does, it threw a kink into things!
I only gave this book 4 stars because it was a good book but it felt rushed through. There wasn’t a lot of detailed settings.. but still worth the read!
It started our great, then in the middle it got boring, (that’s why I gave it 4 stars) but I hung in there and the ending was great.
A great freebie to kick off a very good series. Each one is an original. I’d say this is the lightest of them all. Subsequent books are richer in terms of characters and subject matter. Let Me Fall was an all time favorite of mine.
The writing is very good, unusually so for a free download. The books that follow in the series get better and better.
I loved this book and have moved on to the second book in the series. The characters were well described, and the author did a good job of describing friendships, friends and their romantic involvements, relationships with family, and the trials of the main characters. This was original with a really great story line.
