The latest from Ann Brashares, the New York Times bestselling author of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, a magical story of reincarnation and a love that lasts more than a lifetime Daniel has spent centuries falling in love with the same girl. Life after life, crossing continents and dynasties, he and Sophia (despite her changing name and form) have been drawn together-and he remembers it … drawn together-and he remembers it all. For all the times that he and Sophia have been connected throughout history, they have also been torn painfully, fatally, apart.
But just when Sophia (now “Lucy” in the present) finally awakens to the secret of their shared past, the mysterious force that has always separated them reappears. Ultimately, they must come to understand what stands in the way of their love if they are ever to spend a lifetime together.

I loved this book. Until the end that felt like you still needed more to the story for closure. I therefore can’t recommend the book because I felt like I invested time in a story without an ending.
Absolutely loved the story-line and the characters but did not like the ending… To much left unanswered. I felt like there should have be more as your left standing on a cliff waiting for their story to continue and then nothing….. UGH!!
Daniel lives many lives; asks to be called the same name and in each life he searches for his “soulmate” Sophia- he remembers them…
Now born as Lucy- Sophia never remember and throughout the story he is trying to get her to remember.
Will his memories, feelings and connection be enough to bring his Sophia to him?
This is one of my favorite books. I literally read it in one sitting. I should have been working and instead I sat on the couch and read this book. It’s amazing. I would love to read a sequel but there isn’t one. It’s just a beautiful, haunting book.
